IRON MAN: BROTHER DON'T CAUSE TROUBLE

Chapter 7: 7. Shocked Tony, Water Arrow

Just as John finished speaking, Tony's expression, which had been playful a moment ago, turned serious.

"Alright, tell me. Actually, I'm quite excited, you know."

Seeing that Tony was finally being serious, John didn't beat around the bush and took Tony to his lab, located on the other side of the mansion. As soon as they entered the lab, Tony's surprised voice echoed.

"Oh my God, how can there be something so ugly in the world?"

Hearing this, a vein throbbed on John's forehead, but he calmed down quickly.

"Ignore it for now. We'll get to it in a while," John said after composing himself.

But Tony wasn't letting it go. "How can I ignore it, John? It's an assault on my very soul! I think my eyes are bleeding."

John felt a headache brewing. " just leave it alone. You'll understand soon enough."

Tony crossed his arms and smirked. "Oh, I'm sure I will. But seriously, did you make that thing while blindfolded?"

John felt helpless dealing with Tony. Although Tony treated John very well in reality, to outsiders, he was the same sarcastic genius they saw in the movies.

"Enough, brother. Now watch carefully."

Seeing John become serious, Tony finally turned his attention away from the ugly device and nodded.

John took a deep breath and closed his eyes. Within his spiritual sea, he focused on one of two mysterious runes floating in the void sky. These were the Fire Rune and the Water Rune, which John had inscribed after two months of hard work. He had tried to inscribe a third rune, but each attempt rapidly depleted his spiritual power, so he had set it aside for now.

At this moment, John concentrated on the Water Rune, which began to glow after a few moments. Outside, John stretched out his hand, and a ball of water suddenly appeared out of thin air.

Seeing this, Tony's jaw dropped in astonishment. He couldn't believe his eyes. But John wasn't done yet. He concentrated further, and after ten seconds, the ball of water transformed into a sharp water arrow.

Without hesitation, John fired the arrow toward the wall. It moved with incredible speed and exploded on impact, leaving a small hole in the wall. Dust and debris settled as Tony stiffly turned to John, his face a mixture of shock and disbelief.

John smiled and patiently explained. "I call this attack 'Water Arrow.' How is it? Are you surprised?"

Tony nodded stiffly, then regained his senses. "Is this the power you awakened back then?"

John nodded, then shook his head, leaving Tony confused. Seeing Tony's puzzled expression, John elaborated.

"Actually, what I awakened is something different. Look at my eyes, and you'll understand."

Tony stared at John's eyes, which turned golden for a second before reverting to normal.

"What the—was that X-ray vision? Can you see through walls? Wait… can you see through clothes?" Tony asked with a intrigued.

John shook his head. "I call this power the Eye of Truth."

"Until now, I haven't discovered many uses for it. But one thing I can do is see mysterious symbols sometimes."

"Mysterious symbols? What kind of symbols?" Tony asked curiously.

John began explaining in detail how he had discovered these symbols and inscribed them into his spiritual sea, enabling him to use their powers. He demonstrated the connection between the runes and his abilities.

Listening to John's explanation, Tony was stunned. "So, now you're a magician? Or am I missing something?"

"Close enough," John said with a grin. "I prefer to call it wizardry."

Tony raised an eyebrow. "You mean like the wizards in those novels you used to tell me about?"

John nodded, but Tony remained skeptical. Seeing this, John continued, "Can't you see, brother? These mysterious symbols are like runes in those novels. Their use is a bit different, but not by much. Just like in the novels, they inscribe spell models into their spiritual sea. Similarly, I inscribed these runes into mine."

He paused and took a deep breath before continuing. "As for increasing spiritual power, it's simple. Whenever I draw the same symbol into my spiritual sea, even though I can't inscribe the same rune twice, it still boosts my spiritual power slightly. So, I believe that with consistent practice, I'll be able to increase my spiritual power and inscribe more runes in the future."

John's eyes gleamed with excitement as he finished speaking. Tony wasn't stupid; he understood the implications of John's abilities and suddenly asked, "Do you think I can do the same—inscribe these symbols in my spiritual sea?"

John thought for a moment before replying, "I don't think it would be difficult for you since you've also opened your spiritual sea. So, I believe you meet the requirements."

"By the way, what talent did you awaken, brother?" John asked, genuinely curious.

Tony, who had been deep in thought, suddenly looked awkward. "Well... I awakened the talent of speed," he said hesitantly.

John was surprised. "Really, brother? That's fantastic! How fast can you run?"

Tony scratched his head, unsure how to explain. "I... I can't run faster, but my hand speed is faster."

"Wait a second. You're telling me your superpower is fast hands? Don't tell me—you've been… 'practicing' in the bathroom every day, haven't you?"

Tony's face turned red. "Here it comes," he muttered under his breath.

John burst out laughing, clutching his stomach.

"Alright, fine. Laugh it up," Tony said, rolling his eyes.

But John was laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes.

"Hand speed! Oh, brother, that's just… priceless."

Tony shrugged, trying to look indifferent, but the corner of his mouth twitched. "Hey, at least it's not completely useless. I could be the fastest eater in the world or something."

John wiped his tears and shook his head. "Alright, brother, I'm done. But seriously—fast hands? That's your talent?"

"Yep," Tony replied, deadpan. "And with it, I'll single-handedly—literally—change the world."

Tony didn't know that what he said will really come true one day.
