Chapter 16 - Mastery of the Six Harmonies Fist, A Fierce Beauty of a Master
Chapter 16: Mastery of the Six Harmonies Fist, A Fierce Beauty of a Master
The Martial hall fell into a dead silence.
The outer sect disciples who witnessed the scene could hardly believe their eyes.
Li Mo, who had just begun learning martial arts, had defeated Wang Hu, the tyrant of the martial hall.
And with just one punch, he knocked him down so hard that Wang Hu couldn’t even stand up.
A beginner, you say?
Are all true disciples this extraordinary?
On the grandmaster chair, He Hongfeng’s eyes flickered with surprise.
Having already touched the threshold of the Spirit observation Realm, he could easily see that Li Mo had merely opened one meridian.
His progress was undeniably fast, but that wasn’t what surprised him.
Wang Hu was at the third meridian of the Blood Qi stage.
For someone with one meridian to defeat someone with three in such a crushing manner, there was certainly an element of Wang Hu underestimating his opponent.
But it also meant that Li Mo’s skill in martial arts far surpassed Wang Hu’s.
He had seen it clearly: that punch alone was at least at the minor accomplishment level of the Six Harmonies Fist!
Wang Hao sprang to his feet and rushed to Wang Hu’s side, channeling his internal energy to help regulate Wang Hu’s blood qi. His expression was as dark as storm clouds.
“Since True Disciple Li doesn’t think sparring with outer disciples is worthwhile, how about a match with me?”
“Wang Hao, this is against the rules.”
He Hongfeng set down his teacup, cursing internally.
You’ve been at the Internal Energy Realm for years, and you’re challenging someone at the Blood Qi Realm?
Have you no shame?
The other outer sect disciples couldn’t hold back their anger either.
When Wang Hu was bullying us, you said nothing. So, it’s only fair if he wins, right?
“I won’t use internal energy. I’ll suppress my cultivation to the initial Blood Qi Realm.”
“Asking for advice from a true disciple is perfectly within the rules, even if this reaches my master’s ears.”
Wang Hao had no intention of backing down.
He Hongfeng’s face darkened even more. Was he really going to pressure them with the Elder of the Divine Weapon Peak?
The gap between a deacon of the inner sect and the outer sect was much greater than the gap between inner and outer disciples.
As if realizing something, He Hongfeng sneered, “Fine, as long as you don’t regret it. Junior Brother Li, what do you say? If you’d rather not fight, that’s fine too.”
“Heh.”
Wang Hao ignored him and fixed his sharp gaze on Li Mo.
Li Mo narrowed his eyes.
If his opponent was willing to suppress his level, it might be worth trying.
He had only just begun his martial journey and had never truly fought anyone before.
Moreover, during his recent fight, an inexplicable surge of battle intent had risen in his chest. Instead of fading, it was growing stronger by the second, like a wildfire spreading.
Could this also be a result of the Mysterious immortal physique?
“Please enlighten me,” Li Mo’s voice was soft, yet it resonated through the hall.
The crowd was shaken—was Junior Brother Li really accepting the challenge? He had only been practicing martial arts for two days, after all.
If it were just another inner sect disciple, that might be one thing, but Wang Hao was a different story. He might seem approachable, but he was vicious in nature.
Li Mo then turned to his side and said, “Senior Brother Xiao, you might want to step back a bit… Hm?”
Where was Old Xiao?
His spot was empty, and Xiao Qin had vanished without a trace.
Strange, Old Xiao wasn’t one to run off at the first sign of trouble.
“Heh, you stand up for others, but they run away,” Wang Hao sneered, clearly not expecting Li Mo to accept the challenge. Hands behind his back, he added mockingly, “I’ll let you attack first, so no one accuses me of bullying you.”
Whoosh—
Before Wang Hao could finish speaking, a gust of wind from Li Mo’s fist was already in his face.
Li Mo wasn’t one to be polite to someone seeking trouble. His back arched like a bow, and his fist shot forward like a cannonball, aiming straight for Wang Hao’s ribs, just three inches below his chest.
Sensing the sharp fist wind, Wang Hao raised an eyebrow, but he wasn’t intimidated.
Bang!
Their fists collided with a resounding impact.
Wang Hao’s arm went numb from the force, yet he didn’t retreat, confident in his rich combat experience. He immediately launched a counterattack.
However, to his surprise, Li Mo fought with the composure of a veteran.
Ignoring the punch coming for his chest, Li Mo pressed forward with his body, his arm swinging down like an iron whip toward Wang Hao’s shoulder.
His punches were continuous and relentless, without needing a break—Six Harmonies Fist, minor accomplishment?
Wang Hao’s heart tightened, but he couldn’t withdraw his fist now.
He decided to go all out. His punch was already at the peak of the Blood Qi Realm, perfectly executed.
Minor accomplishment of the Six Harmonies Fist? I know that too!
And…
Humph.
Wang Hao snorted coldly, pulling his shoulder back to dodge.
Li Mo’s powerful punch landed on Wang Hao’s shoulder but felt as though it hit an invisible barrier. It missed by mere millimeters.
Li Mo, however, staggered back a few steps, his chest throbbing from Wang Hao’s punch.
Internal energy?
Li Mo exhaled turbid qi, realizing his opponent had feigned weakness but actually used internal energy to weaken the force of his punch.
But he said nothing. His battle spirit only grew stronger.
“Come again!”
“Hm?”
Wang Hao was startled by this kid’s resilience, his sneer deepening.
In the end, he was inexperienced, relying on brute strength.
The longer the fight dragged on, the more his flaws would be exposed. He was using the same move again—if it didn’t work the first time, repeating it would only make him more vulnerable.
But in the next second, Wang Hao’s pupils constricted.
This kid’s punch…
Smack!
Li Mo’s fierce fist broke through the thin layer of internal energy, landing squarely on Wang Hao’s shoulder.
Wang Hao stumbled back, his face turning ashen, his vision blackening.
“Mastery of the Six Harmonies Fist?!”
“Major accomplishment level?”
He Hongfeng was so shocked that he dropped his teacup, spilling the high-quality Rain Dragon Well tea all over his lap.
But he didn’t even notice, his expression frozen in disbelief.
The Six Harmonies Fist might be a basic technique, but that didn’t make it simple. In fact, the more basic a technique, the harder it was to master. Every bit of progress required extensive training.
Is this kid even human?
Caught off guard, Wang Hao had suffered a major loss.
But instead of conceding, he began to tremble in rage.
“Wang Hao, what are you planning to do?!”
Before He Hongfeng could finish speaking, Wang Hao had already charged forward, a cold glint in his palm, striking straight for Li Mo’s dantian.
He Hongfeng rushed after him, his cultivation far superior.
But there was no need.
Boom—
Wang Hao was sent flying like a cannonball.
His entire body rattled, the sound of bones cracking echoing through the hall.
He crashed into the wall, creating a massive hole.
He Hongfeng’s hair stood on end as he stiffly turned his head.
“Elder… Elder Shang…”
“Master? Senior Brother Xiao?”
Li Mo was stunned. At the entrance stood two figures—none other than Shang Wu and Xiao Qin.
Only Xiao Qin, the burly man, was currently being lifted by one hand, his face pale as a sheet.
“Master, why are you here?”
“This kid said you were being bullied in the martial hall, so I came.”
Shang Wu squinted her eyes.
At this moment, she had none of her usual lazy demeanor, more like a tigress whose territory had been encroached upon.
Li Mo understood immediately.
No wonder Old Xiao had disappeared earlier—he had known Wang Hao wouldn’t play fair and had gone to fetch help from the Myriad heavens Peak.
“Smart move, Old Xiao.”
“Ugh… cough, Junior Brother Li, you flatter me.”
Xiao Qin was finally released, still wobbling and nauseous.
Poor guy had been carried through the air by a top cultivator, and he was only at the Blood Qi Realm.
“Master, you beat him up so badly—will this cause trouble?”
Li Mo cast a glance at Wang Hao, who was half-embedded in the wall, bones broken and barely clinging to life.
“Heh, of course there will be trouble.”
Shang Wu crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. “He dared to touch my disciple. If an inner sect disciple dares attack a true disciple, there’s clearly someone behind this.”
“And who might that be?”
“Uh… He… He Hongfeng.”
He Hongfeng wiped the cold sweat from his brow, his legs trembling.
Damn that fool Wang Hao! I couldn’t stop him.
Everyone in the sect knew better than to provoke this Ninth Elder.
“You! Go to the Weapon Peak and bring Fu Tu here.”
“If he’s not here in one incense stick’s time, I’ll personally pay him a visit.”
Shang Wu sprawled into the grandmaster chair.
“Me?!”
“Hmm?”
“Right away… right away!”
He Hongfeng bolted out of the hall as if chased by a fierce beast.
Li Mo: “??”
He had been worried that after beating the junior, the senior would come, and the situation would escalate, with his master being held responsible.
But from Shang Wu’s attitude, it seemed she was prepared to beat up the senior too?
Xiao Qin coughed lightly and said in a low voice:
“I heard that Divine Weapon Peak used to be quite tall, only slightly lower than Qingyuan Main Peak.”
Li Mo was stunned. He glanced out the window.
Among all the peaks, Divine Weapon Peak was clearly the lowest, and it seemed to be missing a chunk at the top.
Xiao Qin continued:
“Later, Elder Han He had a conflict with Elder Shang Wu, and the peak’s top was destroyed by Elder Shang Wu.”
Li Mo: “Ah?”
He looked at the enormous gap on the mountain peak, as if a ferocious beast had taken a bite out of it.
Turning back, he saw his delicate beauty of a master sitting with her legs crossed, sipping tea, the corners of her mouth slightly upturned as if thinking of something pleasant.
Li Mo felt a sense of absurdity and surrealism.
“My precious disciple, come here. You’re not hurt, are you?” Shang Wu beckoned with a smile.
Li Mo walked over, but before he could feel touched, Shang Wu continued:
“When Fu Tu gets here, we need to squeeze him for all he’s worth. Are you up for it?”
“Squeeze him?”
Li Mo broke out in a cold sweat.
No wonder his master had come so quickly.
…
