Inuyasha:The third sword

Walking under the afternoon sun shining brightly, a young man with blond hair, blue eyes and Onmyōji clothes advances forward alone. 

He looks every which way, then kicks the ground and finally gives up as he lets out a sigh of defeat. It's Asahiko, who has apparently separated from Kikyo and also seems to have gotten lost, though luckily in the distance a small town comes into view. 

"Tsk, because Naraku is acting, because I have a plan, because you must find those materials... Ahh, whatever."

Pulling her blonde hair to the side, Asahiko does an imitation of Kikyo's voice and starts talking entirely by herself. That behavior doesn't stop his advance, and in a few moments he easily makes it all the way to the village. 

There was nothing of note in this small place, the houses are made of wood and number no more than twenty, but strangely the surroundings are empty. 

The situation is even stranger, since the houses are certainly deteriorated and the fields are moderately cultivated, everything makes it clear that there was no conflict or disaster here.

"Your Excellency, please help us!

"Please, Your Excellency!"

"Our husbands... They... They... They!"

Multiple women's voices come from the distance, causing Asahiko's face to twist briefly and his face to darken. It was obvious that these women's voices were not coming from one side of town to the other, but Asahiko used his superior senses to hear it. 

Even considering Asahiko's dislike of using her higher senses, it's very strange for Asahiko's expression to twist like that... But everything becomes clear after a brief murmur from "Miroku". 

"Calm down, calm down, I understand your concern due to them not coming back."

"That's right, we have to get them back... Please!"

Walking among the empty houses of the village, Asahiko slowly makes her way closer to the tumult of people and finally her eyes fall upon the restless crowd. 

The vast majority were young women, clearly tanned by the sun and farm work, making them not look as good as the other two. Those two beautiful young women are Kagome and Sango, who are accompanied by Inuyasha and Miroku. 

"Hey, isn't that Asahiko?"

Leaning on Kagome's shoulder, Shippo's eyes look over the crowd of women and detect Asahiko. 

"What are you saying midget, why would he be... Asahiko!"

"Oh, no... No, no, no! What are you all doing here!"

Pointing his finger at Inuyasha's group, Asahiko raises his voice, causing everyone to stare at him. The fear was palpable in his tone of voice, while the two steps back he takes, further creates the idea that he is terrified by this encounter. 

"Calm down beautiful ladies, we all know each other, you have nothing to fear. Asahiko, why don't we talk back there?"

"You want to silence me! You'll never take me alive, you debauched, greedy monk!"

After Asahiko's clearly exaggerated shout, murmurs spread through the group of ladies, causing Miroku's face to flinch and he looked at Asahiko with killing intent. 

That little killing intent did nothing to Asahiko, we could even say it serves as fuel to make his smile even bigger. Yes, he did it for pleasure, or rather, for revenge. 

"Asahiko, you can't talk about your friends like that."

"He's not wrong, Miroku. You are a debauched and greedy monk."

"The dwarf is right, there is no better way to describe you, Miroku."

Taking advantage of Miroku's moment of weakness, both Shippo and Inuyasha go on the attack, driving Miroku to the ropes and leaving his reputation increasingly soiled. 

Perhaps noticing that they already had it in the bag, Inuyasha, Shippo and Asahiko share a quick glance that serves as a signal, getting them to agree and go on the attack with even more force. 

"That's enough Inuyasha, and you too Asahiko, look how they've left him!"

"Clearly it's the weight of his sins that's carrying him down, Kagome."

Mocking Miroku who already seems to be on his last legs, Asahiko addresses Kagome who tries to stop this farce at once. 

"Hahaha, Asahiko is right. He got to him."

"Inuyasha, get down!"

Uttering loudly "Down", the purple pearl necklace on Inuyasha's neck glows and makes him eat dirt, leaving everyone present shocked.

With Inuyasha already out of the game, Shippo preemptively and smartly retreats, making Asahiko the last one still standing, though he too gives up as he finds himself outnumbered (Kagome, Miroku and Sango).

"Hahaha, it was all a joke, woman... So why don't we talk somewhere else with fewer eyes."

"Let's see what you want."

Speaking extremely haughtily, Kagome helps Inuyasha to get up from the ground and then starts to follow Asahiko. 

...Christopher/Asahiko pov.... 

"So let's recap, she stole the money from you and you followed her to help her?"

Sitting on the floor of a house we've borrowed, I fix my eyes on Miroku across the table and then everyone else. 

I don't want to say it out loud, but it seems to me that everyone understood what I wanted to convey. He said, can it be any more... More... Simp. 

"It's not as bad as you make it out to be, I had a reason to do it, so what are you doing here, Asahiko?"

"And where's Kikyo!"

Without even having to get up from where I'm sitting, I watch as Kagome's face scrunches up and with a twitch of her lips she lets out the mighty "Down", getting Inuyasha smashed to the ground. 

"He brought this on himself."

"You're right, Shippo, now can you answer His Excellency's question?"

"Sure, sure... Tilililu, Tilililu, tilililu."

Waving my hands in front of my face, I make a bunch of sounds without any kind of sense, just as if I was triggering a flashback from the past and start telling why I am in this place. 

Truth be told, my storytelling skills aren't the best, but Miroku may have understood and his continued statements confirm it. 

"So there are more others who want Inuyasha's sword?"

"It's already normal, Kagome. When he's not your brother, he's a monster and now some moths... It makes no difference whatsoever."

"Hahaha, well said, Sango. If they want Steel Fang, let them come and get him."

It's amazing how easily Inuyasha changes the subject, but even more amazing is his confidence. Did I not hear the part about an enemy on the level of your father, leader of an entire faction and foreigner to these lands. 

"Ahem, so it's not a spider here after all, but a female spirit that attracts men?"

"A beautiful female spirit according to the ladies outside."

Ignoring the sign of the rest of the people in the room, she looked into the eyes of Miroku who had spoken and let out a few words to find out if he is a hero or a clown. 

"You know he's a spirit, female of course, but spirit nonetheless, are you still going?"

"Asahiko, Asahiko... I never thought you were so short sighted, it doesn't matter if she's a yokai, human or spirit... She's a woman and that's what matters."

Hearing those noble words full of conviction, honor, self-sacrifice for the cause and passion, I could only lean my body on the table and take her hands between mine. 

"Master, enlighten the path of this poor lost lamb and let him see a bit of your infinite wisdom."

"Easy, easy, Asahiko. I can tell you my thousand and one secrets, nothing is too much for a follower of the true path."

There may be something wrong here, literally Miroku is glowing and his words seem to be brimming with charisma, he always had it, only now it is many times more powerful. Maybe I am putting a filter on him in my mind that makes him look better?. 

"Master, as a token of my faith, I will not interfere in your crusade against that monster."

"You never call a lady a monster, Asahiko, that will be your first lesson."

"Thank you, master!"

Lowering my head at such superior wisdom, I make the shadow on my face cover the smile that is slowly growing... Hehehehe, you thought I forgot about impersonating me, ha, of course not, and now I'm going to bring all your likes and dislikes to light. Hahahahaha, hahahaha. 

"Hey... Shall we do something?"

"Cover your ears, Shippo, you must not be corrupted by them."

"Your Excellency... Ah, it never changes."
