Chapter 245: Chapter 245: Train Chase

At this moment, Qin Ming was furious — absolutely livid.

He had already spent a fortune just to enter this world to hunt down his targets. Now, discovering that the main mission was a bust and he was going to suffer a major point loss?

How could he not go berserk?

What started as a public feud had now escalated into a personal grudge!

They could afford to lose lives, but Qin Ming's loss was cold, hard cash!

Wasting no time, Qin Ming immediately led Kasamoto Eri on horseback, charging forward at full speed following the map.

Although he wasn't entirely sure where the remaining two targets were, the logic of adventurers was universal — maximize benefits.

If it were him, he would also spend the remaining two days before returning squeezing out every possible reward, rather than sitting idly.

And in this Western world, what better way to maximize gains than hunting down more BOSSes?

The answer was obvious.

Therefore, Qin Ming's current destination was the nearest second bandit stronghold marked on the map: the lair of the Stage Two boss in Sunset Riders — the Hetfield Gang.

This was a notorious group of bandits specializing in train heists, composed entirely of cavalry, with a bounty totaling twenty thousand dollars.

Recently, they had been wreaking havoc along a railroad line, plundering several trains and openly challenging the nearby law enforcement, brazenly announcing their next target.

Qin Ming was certain those two adventurers were there, likely seeking the second-stage BOSS.

Galloping along the railroad with the black steed's incredible speed, Qin Ming quickly reached the marked area on the map and stumbled upon an ongoing train robbery.

Ahead, a train was hurtling down the tracks, flanked by cowboys on horseback firing their guns at the guards on the train.

The fierce shootout was in full swing.

Without hesitation, Qin Ming charged into the fray, pulling the energy machine gun from his saddle.

He opened fire indiscriminately, mowing down anyone in his path regardless of allegiance.

Cowboys fell from their horses with anguished screams as Qin Ming advanced relentlessly, swiftly catching up to the train.

Kasamoto Eri, seated behind him, leaped into the carriage with a burst of energy, machine gun in hand, and began coordinating with Qin Ming to eliminate enemies.

One wreaked havoc inside the train, while the other dominated on horseback.

Their overwhelming firepower left both sides pinned down, unable to raise their heads.

Desperate, the once-bitter rivals even united against their common threat.

But it was futile.

No matter how they cooperated, Qin Ming and Kasamoto Eri's high-grade firearms utterly outclassed them, reducing them to cannon fodder.

On the railway, a horse-drawn cart rapidly approached, attempting to intercept Qin Ming.

As the wooden planks at the back of the cart fell, revealing a hand-cranked Gatling gun, the threat became evident.

However, before the outdated Gatling gun could even fire a shot, the energy cannon on the black steed's other side roared to life.

Boom!

The cart exploded into a rolling inferno, splintering into fragments.

The cowboys inside, who had been frantically shooting at Qin Ming, were blown to pieces, their bodies shredded beyond recognition.

With a gun in one hand and a cannon in the other, Qin Ming rampaged through the battlefield, finally reaching the front of the train.

Here, two factions were locked in fierce combat over the locomotive.

On one side was a group of bandits wearing distinctive green cowboy hats — the gang led by the Stage Two BOSS, Hetfield.

On the other side were several figures clad in special attire.

One of them caught Qin Ming's attention immediately.

He could discern from the figure's attributes that it was none other than Billy, the former sheriff and the second-ranked protagonist of the Sunset Riders world.

As for the other two, Qin Ming couldn't discern their stats — clear evidence that they were the two adventurers he was hunting.

The moment Qin Ming stormed into view, both sides, locked in a struggle for control of the train engine, froze in confusion, unsure whether he was friend or foe.

Only one of the adventurers, who seemed to be using a special piece of equipment, quickly realized Qin Ming's true identity.

Before he could warn his companion, Qin Ming had already turned his cannon to face them, his expression grim.

Boom!

A deafening explosion echoed as the twin-barreled energy cannon fired, blasting through the train engine and destroying its steam boiler.

The train, now severely damaged, lost its balance and careened off the tracks with a deafening crash, its momentum pushing it forward as carriages piled up behind it.

Sparks flew as the train skidded for dozens of meters before finally grinding to a halt, the scattered carriages forming a chaotic heap.

All around, people who had been thrown by the blast or flung by the overturned cars struggled to rise from the ground.

Before they could fully recover from their daze, a figure suddenly appeared atop the tangled mass of carriages.

Qin Ming, gripping his lever-action rifle, stood with a dark expression, mercilessly opening fire on the crowd below.

He didn't care whether they were allies of the protagonist or minions of the BOSS — anyone who showed their face took a bullet.

As both sides suffered casualties, they scrambled for cover and returned fire at Qin Ming.

In the midst of the chaos, Kasamoto Eri finally emerged from the wreckage.

Perched atop a carriage, she set up her silver-grade light machine gun and unleashed a relentless barrage on the distant crowd.

If the enemies could still put up some resistance against Qin Ming's rifle, they stood no chance against Kasamoto Eri's machine gun.

Bullets tore through the metal plating of the carriages, sending cowboys tumbling to the ground with anguished screams.

Those hiding behind thick cover found no respite either, as Kasamoto Eri supplemented her gunfire with precisely thrown grenades, decimating their positions.

The more they tried to hide, the faster they died.

Explosions rocked the scene, forcing BOSS Hetfield, Billy, and the two adventurers to flee the wreckage in disarray.

Before they could widen the distance, a heavy thud sounded from up ahead.

The next moment, as the iron plating twisted, a figure leaped down from the top of a carriage, landing heavily before them.

It was Qin Ming, face contorted with fury, advancing with his rifle blazing.

Bullets forced Billy and Hetfield into a frantic retreat.

The two adventurers exchanged glances and, rather than dodge, charged straight at Qin Ming, determined to engage in close combat.

One of them leaped high, flames coiling around his legs as he rocketed toward Qin Ming like a missile, unleashing Andy's signature move from the King of Fighters — Hisho-Ken!

The other, engulfed in searing flames, hurtled forward in a fiery rush, using another signature B-grade ultimate technique — Orochi Nagi!
