Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage

Chapter 449: 449: Blood-Element Forbidden Curse!

"Why? I cannot understand," Ursula's beautiful eyes showed confusion, her lips moving slightly as her voice echoed in Orson's mind.

She appeared almost devoid of the usual traits of a bloodline creature, with a pitiful expression that contained infinite charm. Her flawless, snow-white body radiated a unique allure.

This was the key reason she could ultimately claim the throne!

Orson narrowed his eyes, understanding now. The nobles of Light Dragon Empire were not foolish. They wouldn't let an alien woman become empress.

And Ursula, with her appearance and figure nearly identical to a human, wearing the Crown of Sin, which had a unique passive ability, could easily control the young emperor, manipulating him at will.

The Holy Light Church would use Ursula to regain control of the empire's highest decision-making power.

Thus, Cassandra from the Purple-Gold Family would be doomed in the competition for empress!

"It's simple, because of that face of yours, you have value to me in terms of staying alive," Orson said with a calm smile, standing still like an unmovable demon king, surrounded by the Bright Galaxy, with chaotic energy pouring out.

Ursula boldly met Orson's sharp gaze, smiling enticingly, "You want to control me? Adventurer, but your calculations may fall short."

"How would you know unless you try?" Orson laughed nonchalantly, raising his hand, activating Whisper of the Wind to increase his attack speed, and Chaos Magic Ball shot forward, striking the blood serpent rushing at them again.

Critical Hit - 610,000! Crippled Strike - 1.2 million! Burning - 43,000! Critical Hit - 640,000! ...

The first blood serpent in the front howled, getting nearly obliterated under the barrage of the Chaos Magic Ball.

Boom—

[Ethereal Echoes] triggered!

Two chaotic rings of energy glowed brightly on Orson's index fingers, releasing a sound like a water drop falling into a cup, ethereal and clear.

The Chaos Magic Ball exploded and split into several dark-red rays, spreading toward the other blood serpents.

Under the influence of Ethereal Echoes, the damage from Chaos Magic Ball spread and quickly diminished, but within moments, the rays easily pierced through the bodies of multiple blood serpents.

The battle log quickly rolled, and with the passive effects brought by the chaotic rings, Orson's sustained output ability was enhanced by a level.

Even a single normal critical hit delivered damage comparable to a death blow.

But it didn't stop there. Clang—a crisp sound rang out, triggering Chaos Chain!

Two massive blood serpents were bound by chains, crashing to the ground from mid-air.

"This is the effect I wanted," Orson smiled.

The talent skill Chaos Chain triggered twice, a rare occurrence even at max level.

Ethereal Echoes was a version of regular attack enhancement with splash and spreading effects, and triggering it once was like landing 10 basic attacks.

With only a two-piece set of chaotic rings, the trigger probability was just 10%, but once activated, it caused the Chaos Chain's probability to spike.

With Chaos Chain's true damage and powerful control effects, the blood mist dissipated as Chaos Magic Balls continued to fire. The two Domain Lord-Class blood serpents were shredded into blood mud and exploded in a spectacular display.

"Summons really don't add any experience. What a headache," Orson frowned.

In Infinite Dimensions, few players dared deal with summon-based bosses. Not only are summoned elementals terrifyingly strong, but killing them yields no loot or experience, which makes them frustrating to fight.

[Blood Devouring Progress]

"Devouring special blood, incubation progress increases!"

"Blood Devouring +50,000!"

"Blood Devouring +50,000!"

...

Orson blinked in surprise as the Phoenix Egg glowed faintly red.

A strange pulling force appeared, and the blood from the dismembered serpents splattered and quickly reformed, eventually turning into a river of blood that was absorbed into Orson's inventory.

"Killing high-level blood magic summons actually devours this much blood?" Orson thought, bewildered. Slaying a Saint Lord-Class fire dragon king had only added 100,000 blood progress.

But these summoned Domain Master-class blood creatures added 50,000 blood progress per serpent. That was far more efficient than grinding regular monsters!

Orson couldn't help but grin. He had planned for a quick battle, but it seemed unnecessary now.

After clearing the remaining blood serpents, his Phoenix Egg had absorbed enough blood to increase the progress by a whopping 400,000.

Glancing at Ghost King's massive blue health bar, a bold thought crossed his mind.

Summon-based bosses may be annoying, but they weren't useless.

"King's Authority: Blood Devour – Summon the dead to assist in battle, huh?" Orson's gaze became intense, and his expression twisted with anticipation.

Back in the day, he had used the Goblin Emperor's summoning abilities to level up Soul Seal quickly.

Looking again at Ghost King's long, white legs, he nearly drooled.

"God-Emperor, is something wrong? Why do you have such... an odd expression?"

Lili, who was hiding behind Orson, looked at him with panic.

If the God-Emperor couldn't defeat Ghost King, her sister Ursula would forever lose her freedom, becoming a pawn for the Holy Light Church to control the emperor.

"The Fallen Angel is indeed powerful. Looks like I'll need to be extra careful," Orson smirked, a serious tone creeping into his voice.

Laketon paused, then chuckled ominously. "This doesn't feel right... I sense a plot. This taste... it's so sweet, master! Please, enjoy it to the fullest!"

Orson shot him a look, rolling his eyes. "A quasi-God-tier entity should make me cautious, you know? Even when hunting a rabbit, a lion uses all its strength."

After saying this, Orson ordered Crimson Lizard King to pull back and prepare for the next phase of the battle.

Hillogu: "Ghost King, what the hell are you stalling for? Do you want me to use the Dragon King scroll to erase you?"

Ghost King narrowed his eyes, unfazed by Hillogu's threat. With a steady hand, he wielded his two staffs in a specific rhythm.

"Damn Fallen one!"

Hillogu gritted his teeth, lifting his sword and slashing at Ghost King's neck.

Miss!

Unable to interrupt magic!

Damage immune!

"Invincible skills?"
