Chapter 344: Kowtow And Apologize!

William looked down to see that the medallion worn around his neck had disappeared, though the necklace portion was still there. Grotnet was looking at him seriously, inspecting William for physical signs of poisoning.

"I don't know. It must have fallen off." he answered simply.

"Fallen off?! That cost me thirty Mana Stones! How am I supposed to recover my stock of medallions? Also, how are you still alive?" he looked at William suspiciously at the end, realizing the boy didn't seem injured in the slightest despite not having a medallion.

William shrugged, "I don't know. Here, take these as compensation." he took out thirty Mana Stones and gave them to Grotnet.

Grotnet accepted the Mana Stones and nodded, slightly surprised to see William was carrying so many Mana Stones at once and could casually take them out. He became a little greedy, but something about William's aura told the man that it wouldn't be wise to mess with the boy.

For one, William's Cultivation was hidden, which meant he was of higher Cultivation than Grotnet. If William was as young as his friends, that made him a true genius comparable to the other young ones of the Velos Continent.

It wouldn't be wise to make an enemy from someone like that, he was probably a well-respected member of the Azures Continent and it could become a political issue if he wasn't careful. Instead, Grotnet accepted William's Mana Stones and pulled out a new medallion.

He had over a hundred of them made, specifically for carrying large groups of people through the miasma at a time, so losing one wasn't a huge deal even if they were expensive.

Along the way to the Revista Faction's Headquarters, Grotnet stopped the group three times at nearby cities so he could refill a portion of his emptied smoke canisters. By the time they reached their second-to-last stop, six days had passed.

The canisters required a lot of time and Mana to refill, as well as a special device that modified the properties of the smoke, so the group wandered the city for a few hours while they waited. They noticed that the closer they got to the Revista Faction's headquarters, the greater the standard of Cultivators.

Golden Core Cultivators became commonplace, while a few in the Nascent Soul could be seen wandering the streets no matter where they looked. They even spotted a Soul Formation Cultivator during their last stop— a rare sight on the Azures Continent.

When Grotnet returned and saw how the group was looking at the Soul Formation Cultivator, he smiled and issued a warning, "I'd be careful if I were you. Cultivators in the Velos Continent have a bad attitude, they might just—"

"Hey! You seven were looking at me, right?" the Cultivator in question took a single step and appeared in front of them, his extreme speed close to that of a teleport. He crossed his arms and looked down on the group of kids in the Golden Core Realm.

He looked to be roughly twenty years of age, but William couldn't tell if that was true or not. The man could be anywhere from fifty to a thousand years old for all he knew.

I wish I could check someone's age. System, is there a Talent for it?

-No.

Really?

-If you want to see ages so bad, just Cultivate.

William sensed that the person's Cultivation was in the second stage of the Soul Formation Realm, but his combat power was probably in the third or fourth stage. He was much too strong for William's friends and Grotnet, but he wasn't intimidated.

"We were. Sorry about that." William replied simply, though he wasn't really sorry. Why would this person care if they looked at him? It should be a compliment!

"Hm! I don't think you're truly sorry, kowtow and apologize a hundred times and I might let you go!" the man replied with a smirk.

I haven't seen someone like this in a while... William thought.

System, do I need to be low-profile here?

-Don't overdo it.

William smiled. When did he ever go to far?

"I think you should forget about us and leave before you get hurt." William replied as he released his Fire Domain, but controlled the Spell so it would only make the Soul Formation Cultivator feel uncomfortable. His friends were naturally unaffected, given his incredible Mana Control.

"Ha, this? Just because you have a Domain doesn't make it strong!" the Cultivator said as he started mobilizing the Water Element. He planned to cast his Water Dragon Spell at William to restrict the boy's focus and cancel the Domain like he had read in books.

William opened the Reversed Water Domain and absorbed the man's Spell before it could even be cast. He was now irritated, since the low Humanity score was trying to affect his emotions again.

"Don't waste my time. I'm not trying to hurt you." he said as he suppressed the desire to kill the Cultivator.

"Y-You. You're just lucky that you have the Water Domain!" the Soul Formation Cultivator shouted as he switched to the Plant Element.

The Reversed Domain was opened again and absorbed the man's Spell a second time, but William was tired of playing games. He opened the Territory of Sealing and cast it on the Soul Formation Cultivator, rooting him in place with no ability to move.

Under the astonished gazes of everyone on the streets, William walked up to the Soul Formation Cultivator and unsealed him. "I told you that I don't want to kill you, but that doesn't mean I won't if you push me too far. Consider yourself lucky."

The Soul Formation Cultivator nodded and flew away without another word. I didn't expect to meet such a monster today. What is that Domain? It's terrifying!

--Title upgraded to Epic: +25 PP

-Honorable (Rare --> Epic): You have spared one hundred individuals who had some intent to kill you. +3 Permanent Humanity.

William turned to look at each of the spectators, "Do you care if I look at you?"

No one spoke.

"Good. We're visitors, let us visit and there won't be any trouble." he returned to his group and opened a portal using Space Magic to leave the city.

On the other side of the portal, Grotnet looked at William in awe. "I didn't expect to be escorting a VIP today, how exciting!"

His friends were just as surprised. Gunther tried to recall the properties of William's Sealing Territory, "Was that the ultra-rare Seal Element? I've never heard of a Seal Domain before, you might be the only one in existence!"

"It's Epic, actually." William corrected.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing. We should go before someone else thinks they can fight me." William said, to which the group nodded. They sorted out their things and prepared for the next step of their journey.

Just after they left, the Revista Faction received notification that someone with mulitiple Domains had suppressed a Soul Formation Cultivator and an entire city with overwhelming strength, a complete exaggeration of what had really happened.

As a result, the Revista Faction sent a group of Soul Formation experts to investigate the area, searching for the people responsible for causing trouble in their territory.
