Chapter 9 Twelve Corpses
It was a dead body of a human male, no doubt about it. ░▒▓█►─═ ═─◄█▓▒░
This person was estimated to be in his thirties, wearing an ordinary shirt and jeans. His face was distorted with fear, his eyes were open, and his slightly narrowed eyes were all white. He was in intense fear before he died.
There were several irregular blood holes on his chest, the blood had long dried up, and the area around the wounds shrank dark red. Strangely, his exposed skin did not have corpse spots, showing a state of mummy, without the stench of decay.
Especially his hands, which looked like chicken claws curled up, with a dull luster, looking very scary and numbing.
But the most eye-catching thing was the thick iron nail nailed to his chest.
This iron nail was silver, and the part close to the human body had brown rust, as thick as a baby's arm. At first glance, although the few people did not actually turn over the body, there was a feeling that the iron nail had nailed the body firmly to the bed.
Faced with such a strange corpse with a horrible death, Edith turned pale with fear and shock, and hugged Bud's arm directly, almost saying "Boss, take me".
Anderson was not much better, his eyes were wide open, his breathing was very light, he stared at the corpse without blinking, his vigilance was full, and his limbs were stiff and unable to move.
Wei Miao looked carefully. There were many strange things about this corpse. What was the purpose of nailing the corpse to the bed, and who did it?
Bud's face was ugly, and his hand holding the bed sheet was suspended in the air without knowing where to put it.
Suddenly, he reacted suddenly, and his arm swung hard. With the sound of breaking through the air, the bed sheet covered the strange corpse again, blocking everyone's sight.
He glanced at the door nervously and said suppressedly: "Let's go, go out first."
Several people almost couldn't wait to leave the room.
However, standing in the empty corridor, even if the weather was still good, the feeling of uneasiness in my heart gradually grew wildly. This is a psychological suggestion and pressure from the self. They always feel that something is watching them from the dark, and they are always worried that something that shouldn't be there will suddenly appear.
Budd knows that he is the pillar of the team at this moment, so he pretends to be calm and closes the door of Room 701, so that even if there are any changes inside, it can be slightly blocked. The quality of the hotel's door is trustworthy.
Wei Miao's eyes accidentally looked at the door handle, and her eyes lit up. She found that there were dense scratches on the surface of the wooden board above the handle. The marks were shallow and not obvious on the milky white paint.
These scratches intertwined with each other, and Wei Miao used her right hand to simulate the action of opening the door in the air. To create these scratches, it can only be done during the grasping process.
The condition for achieving this is that the door opener has claws like a beast, even longer and sharper.
Moreover, the door opening action was performed many times.
Budd didn't seem to notice this abnormality, or he couldn't think calmly now. He looked at the other three people: "Do you want to continue investigating?"
"Let's finish it all at once. I don't want to do it again in the future." Wei Miao had to speak up at this moment, and couldn't let these good teammates leave like this. If they need to search again, they can only come back tomorrow, but the sooner the clues are obtained, the better.
She thought it was not safe to let her explore the remaining rooms alone.
"That makes sense." Bud was convinced by her, and Edith and Anderson acquiesced to this decision.
So the four of them moved forward again and walked to 702.
The door of 702 was open like 701. With the experience of 701, this time, although the four of them were still cautious, they did not stop and walked straight to the inner bedroom after turning on the lights.
"Another!" Anderson couldn't help but speak out.
I saw that the bed in the inner bedroom was the same as before, with a human body covered with a white cloth lying flat.
Bud had psychological immunity this time, he walked to the end of the bed and lifted the white cloth.
The female corpse in front of them was dressed in ordinary clothes. The wound on her chest was similar to that of the male corpse in Room 701. Her hair was disheveled and her face was horrible. One look at her made people feel cold on their backs and a chill ran up from their feet.
There was also a thick iron nail nailed to her chest.
No one dared to touch her. The four of them quickly covered themselves with white cloth and backed out of the room.
Next, they bravely checked the remaining rooms.
All the doors from Room 701 to Room 712 were open without exception. Wei Miao noticed the scratches on the doors. The most terrifying thing was that there was a dead body nailed to the bed in each room. The expression on their faces before death revealed fear, and the symptoms of their bodies were similar.
Twelve rooms, twelve dead bodies nailed to them!
The four of them didn't speak along the way. The atmosphere was depressing and sensitive. After checking the twelve rooms, they felt that being on the seventh floor was no different from being in the morgue. They were sweating coldly and were in a state of tension, commonly known as "scare yourself".
But at the end of the corridor, everyone was surprised to see that Room 713 was different.
Its door was closed!
Everyone's numb nerves became active again, and Wei Miao heard Anderson's heavy and rapid breathing. In this silent corridor, no matter what happened, they could hear it clearly.
Fortunately, there was a transparent glass wall at the end of the corridor, and the light of the summer sun outside filled the place, so that they would not be creepy.
Wei Miao noticed that there was a room card inserted in the groove of the door, but there was no scratch on the door panel? !
Separated by a door, Bud hesitated again.
The unknown is always fascinating and terrifying.
He raised his shield and unscrewed the doorknob.
The door opened.
The light from the balcony showed the same layout of the room.
Bud turned his head and looked at the three people behind him. They looked at him with obvious rejection.
Edith had let go of his hand long ago, standing behind Anderson, and gave him a comforting smile.
These idiots...
Bud was speechless and helpless. He gritted his teeth, turned on the light at the speed of light, and moved to the inner bedroom.
The three followed him.
But when he saw the scene in the inner bedroom, Bud exclaimed in surprise, but did not retreat. This sent a signal to everyone that the front was not scary.
The scene was somewhat beyond Wei Miao's expectations.
Generally speaking, in a hotel room, the bed occupies most of the space, leaving only space for feet, and this hotel is the same.
But the people in 713 stood the bed horizontally and placed it against the wall, which freed up a space.
In the specially vacated space, the white tiles were corroded by something unknown, and the lines of the grooves formed a mysterious pattern, covering an area of about nine square meters.
The main body of the pattern is a round-edged hexagram, with complex arcs and straight lines interlaced inside. The center is a small circle, which is concave and hemispherical. The whole is bilaterally symmetrical, like a complex and exquisite work of art, dark, gorgeous, and curious.
It looks like an ancient formation in mysticism.
The grooves are an ominous dark red, as if they are the product of blood coagulation.
Surprisingly, at the three apex tips of one of the regular triangles of the hexagram, there are wooden chairs with backrests, and they are placed in the opposite direction, with the backs of the chairs facing the formation.
A sense of absurdity of a sacrificial ceremony comes to mind!
Please see the comments for the formation. I really can't find how to post the picture at the end of the article.
PS: I drew this formation with the drawing software that comes with my computer. If you think it's okay, you might as well give it a thumbs up!
