308 is a twin-bed room?
"I'll go check," Lin Ye said without hesitation and headed straight for Room 308 next door.
Was he worried? A little. But more than that, observing and collecting possible clues was far more important.
There were 15 minutes left until 10:00 PM—still enough time.
Lin Ye stepped into Room 308. Taisuke Zeyanaga and the other three exchanged glances but didn't dare enter. They waited patiently in the corridor outside.
The room's layout was similar to Room 306, but it was larger. The most prominent feature was the two massive beds.
Each bed was big enough to comfortably accommodate three or four people for sleeping.

He began inspecting the room but found nothing particularly different from Room 306. Everything present in 306 was also here in 308, except 306 lacked one of the large beds.
Two minutes later, Lin Ye walked out of Room 308.
"Lin, did you find anything?" Taisuke asked immediately.
"Nothing special. 308 just has an extra bed. There are 12 minutes left until 10 PM. What's your plan?"
According to Rule 10, the four of them should return to the lobby on the first floor and re-register for a new room. However, the eerie attack they had witnessed earlier in the lobby made them too afraid to go alone.
The middle-aged man, Ichirou Tanaka, gestured to Taisuke with his eyes and glanced at Hikari Kuroda and Miho Uemura. He knew he wasn't in a position to make a direct request—doing so would only backfire.
"Um, Lin, could you…"
"No," came the immediate response from Hoshino Ai, who had appeared at the doorway without anyone noticing.
Her expression was stern as she proactively rejected the request on Lin Ye's behalf.
"This is your problem. No one knows how dangerous the first-floor lobby is, and I won't let my friend risk himself for you."
Hoshino Ai was well aware that there wasn't much she could do in this situation, so she decided to handle this rejection for Lin Ye.
Taisuke suddenly felt like his idol fan status meant nothing.

"Five hundred thousand. Five hundred thousand yen. If you accompany us to the lobby to re-register, I'll pay you 500,000 yen as a reward," Ichirou Tanaka offered through gritted teeth.
It was no small amount of money.
"Compared to your life, what's 500,000 yen? Even five million yen wouldn't be enough," Hoshino Ai retorted sharply.
"Then… then let Miho spend the night with you," Ichirou Tanaka said, giving a push to Miho Uemura, the black-haired girl with shoulder-length hair.
Miho's face flashed with anger but she didn't protest, clearly agreeing to the deal.
Hikari Kuroda was stunned, and Hoshino Ai momentarily felt her mind go blank.
"Lin Ye-kun has me. What does she even count for?"
Hoshino Ai immediately retorted, pointing her finger as she spoke.
Compared to someone like Miho Uemura, wasn't she, a beloved and popular idol, the better option?
However, this remark stung Miho Uemura. Crossing her arms, she scoffed,
"I'm far better than a so-called idol who might appear glamorous on the surface but is probably disgraceful behind the scenes."
The comment fired up Hoshino Ai, who raised her hand again in anger, only to have her wrist caught and gently pressed down by Lin Ye.
"I can go down with you," Lin Ye said, looking at the group. "But how many rooms are you planning to book?"
The four immediately understood his point. Booking just one room might once again result in a twin-bed room.
"Two rooms," Taisuke Zeyanaga decided firmly.
"Then one more person needs to come with us," Lin Ye added.
"Why not just the two of you book two rooms?" Ichirou Tanaka asked hesitantly, only to feel the icy chill from Lin Ye's gaze in response.
"You're coming. Together," Lin Ye said coldly.
"I…," Ichirou faltered.
"I wouldn't mind breaking your legs and dragging you along," Lin Ye replied sharply.
For someone like this cowardly, selfish middle-aged man, a threat of force was always the most effective approach.
"I'll go with you," Hoshino Ai interjected.
Compared to staying on the third floor without Lin Ye, she felt far safer by his side.
Lin Ye thought about it briefly and nodded.
"I promise I won't cause you any trouble," Hoshino Ai quickly assured him.
At this moment, she pondered Lin Ye's true purpose for accompanying the group to the lobby.
Was it because of the condition that Miho Uemura would spend the night with him?
No, impossible.
If Lin Ye were motivated purely by physical desires, he wouldn't need to go through so much trouble. There must be a deeper reason behind his actions.
While thinking this over, Hoshino Ai followed Lin Ye to the elevator entrance.
As the elevator button was pressed, the silver doors slowly opened.
