In The Primal Chaos, My identity Was Exposed By The Heavens

Chapter 34 - Hongjun Divides the Treasures, Turns into Misfortune!

Chapter 34: Hongjun Divides the Treasures, Turns into Misfortune!

In the grand hall of Purple Heaven Palace, numerous eyes were fixated on five individuals, and they all coveted the same privilege. Having the opportunity to study under the esteemed Taoist ancestor Hongjun comes with numerous benefits.

Just as Laozi, Yuanshi, Nuwa, Jieyin, Zhunti, and others were still profoundly moved, Hongjun continued to address them, proclaiming, “You were born with exceptional fortune, blessed by the heavens, and destined to become saints.”

“Today, as your teacher, I shall impart the fundamental knowledge of enlightenment and bestow the majestic purple energy upon you. I hope you will diligently practice in the future, striving to attain enlightenment and become saints as soon as possible.”

With Hongjun’s words, the moment arrived. The cushions beneath the seats of the five figures suddenly emitted radiant bursts of purple light. The dense purple energy, replete with profound spiritual essence, ascended and, to the astonishment of all, directly merged into the bodies of Laozi, Yuanshi, Nuwa, Jieyin, Zhunti, and others.

At that instant, everyone present comprehended the truth. Those six cushions had been transformed from primordial purple energy!

“Why didn’t I think of contending for those cushions!” someone lamented. “That’s the cornerstone of sainthood, the primordial purple energy!”

Dijun and Donghuang Taiyi wore expressions of regret and unease, recognizing that they had missed a great opportunity.

In the arena, Taoist Hongjun sighed, saying, “Time and destiny are beyond our control, as everything is ordained by the divine.”

Zhen Yuanzi, standing nearby, patted his friend’s shoulder consolingly. However, at that moment, Taoist Hongjun was targeted by a fierce, resentful gaze, emanating from Kunpeng.

Kunpeng, filled with hatred, blamed Taoist Hongjun for relinquishing his position in the West, leading to Kunpeng’s failure to attain Heavenly Destination. If not for Hongjun’s presence, Kunpeng would have undoubtedly confronted Taoist Hongjun to vent his anger.

Other great celestial beings sighed, acknowledging that fate had its way, and nothing could be forced. However, Hongjun then spoke, “There remains a trace of majestic purple energy here in Pingdao. Let it choose its own master.”

With that, he raised his hand and released the final burst of majestic purple energy. In an instant, all the great celestial beings in the hall radiated their auras, eager to attract this ray of sanctification, each hoping it would fall upon them. Were it not for Hongjun’s presence, they might have engaged in a battle long ago. After all, primordial purple energy was the key to achieving sainthood.

Unexpectedly, the ray of majestic purple energy hovered momentarily before descending upon Taoist Hongjun!

A collective gasp swept through the hall, and many individuals concealed their murderous intent, plotting to seize the primordial purple energy from Taoist Hongjun later.

Taoist Hongjun was shocked when he received the primordial purple energy, and his excitement was tinged with unease as he noticed the hostile gazes. He pondered, “Is this majestic purple energy a blessing or a curse for me?”

Just as the final ray of purple energy fell upon Taoist Hongjun, Laozi and Yuanshi secretly breathed a sigh of relief in the arena.

At that crucial moment, there was a collective fear that the primordial purple energy might fall into the hands of the Heavenly Lord. After all, one of the six divinely appointed saints should be linked to the Heavenly Lord rightfully. Had it not been for the Heavenly Lord’s allegiance to Buzhou Mountain, they might have seized a significant opportunity that day. Their already strained relationship with the Heavenly Lord added to their reluctance for the primordial purple energy to end up in their possession, as they feared his potential superiority.

Thankfully, they were now disciples of the Heavenly Way saints, promising significant future benefits. Just then, Hongjun waved his hand, conjuring several treasures into existence.

“This is the Taiji Diagram, an innate treasure with the power to control destiny. As a disciple of my Taoist sect, Laozi deserves this treasure,” Hongjun proclaimed. A radiant ancient scroll floated in front of Laozi.

“Thank you, Master, for this valuable treasure!” Laozi expressed his gratitude joyfully, acknowledging the many advantages of being under Hongjun’s guidance.

Simultaneously, a Lingbao shaped like a triangular flag emanated dazzling brilliance and descended in front of Yuanshi. Hongjun explained, “Yuanshi, my second disciple, was transformed by Pangu’s primordial essence and holds the merit of creating the universe. He can wield the innate treasure – the Pangu Map, which controls destiny.”

“Thank you, Master, for this treasure!” Yuanshi was also thrilled, recognizing the wisdom of his decision to join Hongjun’s ranks. He saw it as an opportunity to showcase his newfound strength to the Heavenly Lord, further justifying his choice to follow Daozu Hongjun.

Traditionally, Hongjun would have also shared the treasure of the heavens – the Four Swords of Immortal Execution, along with the legendary “indestructible by the four saints” Zhu Xian Sword Array Map. However, with the Heavenly Lord’s change of allegiance to Ye Xiu’s sect, Hongjun felt that this distribution could be skipped.

Unexpectedly, Ye Xiu on Buzhou Mountain had other intentions. Upon learning of Hongjun’s distribution of treasures, he seemed to have a plan in mind.

But just as Hongjun was about to distribute the next treasure, a surge filled with the Hunyuan aura suddenly erupted from the depths of the void, ripping through the multiverse’s layers like an ancient torrent and flooding into Purple Heaven Palace. The entire palace shuddered violently, on the brink of collapse. The endless void crumbled, and a tide of time inundated the scene, causing fear and astonishment among everyone present.

Even Hongjun, the Taoist ancestor, couldn’t help but frown, aware of the immense and imminent threat.
