Chapter -05.
Chapter 5.
"A car? so you are a Mudblood too, huh?" Bellatrix asked, a smug look visible on her face as Theodore opened the car door for her.
Since she was almost on the verge of becoming a permanent or a core member of the Death Eaters troop before she was taken out of her timeline, she had seen a few bounties for those sinky werewolves on the wizarding families that owned the car or had muggle oriented stuff openly; and interestingly they either were mudbloods or were wizarding families that had good connection with those mudbloods.
Theodore noticed the smug look and couldn't help but smile, old habits die hard, but he was not a Mudblood and didn't care for such remarks. "I'm not, if you'd rather have your clothes covered in ash, I can certainly find another way for you," he replied.
"I appreciate your offer, but I don't agree," she said, giving up her superiority and getting in the car next moment. After all, the dress was her favorite, and since her current self was now in Azkaban, there was no guarantee that she could find something suitable to wear at home; and the fear of someone finiding out her idenity was still hanging on her head.
The only difference here was that she didn't wanted this theodore guy to see that.
"Well, that was easy," Theodore watched Bellatrix get in the car, and breathed a sigh of relief.
Since this was an upscale neighborhood, and any suspicious activity would attract attention, he din't want to get found out stealing the car; but now that she was playing along, he got in the car as well, stepping on the gas, and in seconds the car was speeding down the street.
…
Theodore had been overtaking other cars on the highway for half an hour, and it looked like he was almost about to hit other vehicles every time he tried overtaking, and then after half hour of hell he finally stopped.
He parked the car in an alley, which was dark due to the surrounding buildings, and was only a few meters away from a shabby shop front.
Bellatrix who already had a trace of fear on her face when she saw the car breazing past other cars. When she saw this lump of metal had finally stopped, she hurriedly got out of it and began to vomit in the alley.
"Uh... I will never take ride in such a terrible thing again," Bellatrix said as she emptied her stomach, then looked back at Theodore, holding her stomach, and couldn't help complaining.
Theodore who knew that it was his driving skills that were too bad, and he held back his smile and walked in front of Bellatrix.
He took out his wand, pointed it at the mess she made, and waved it smoothly while chanting a spell, and cleaned up the mess in one go. Then, he handed the handkerchief to Bellatrix, who looked like she was in the mood to beat someone up.
"Well, shall we eat as planned?" Theodore asked gentlemanly, throwing away the dirty handkerchief that Bellatrix had now given him.
Bellatrix sighed, trying to suppress her anger at the man's politeness, but when her eyes fell on the familiar storefront, she could no longer control herself, looking angrily at Theodore and asking, "this place? are you seriously asking me to eat at such place? did you perhaps forgot who i'm?"
Seeing Bellatrix regain her old demeanor, Theodore smiled faintly and said, "If you don't want to, that's your problem, because as someone who suddenly brought you into this world, I have already shown you basic courtesy." Then he pointed his wand at the car and tapped it on the front of the car, putting it into automatic driving mode, a new feature he installed on the car himself, thanks to the inspiration he got from a like-minded person.
Watching the car disappear from the alley, Theodore began to walk towards the front of the old store and opened the old door. He looked back at the beautiful woman and saw that she had not moved from her position. He said, "You want to go home right? If you don't, then you can continue to stand there like an idiot."
Although he didn't want to be too harsh on her, because that might backfire; but knowing her personality, he couldn't help her change while pretending to be a good person himself; on top of that, he didn't have much wealth to use, and the coins he had in his vault could only help him buy new robes and a few books related to his new profession.
Bellatrix knew her current situation and clenched her fists in anger. One minute this man acted around her like he cared about her, and the next minute he treated her like this. Seeing what was unfolding in front of her, she didn't know what to think; but no matter what, it was more important to return home now, because there she could find the few wands she had hidden after winning the duels; then regain control of her life and start a new life in this world.
Weighing her gains and losses, she finally started to walk towards the door. When she walked to Theodore, she complained, "I'm not an idiot." to whichTheodore immediately smiled and replied, "Of course, I know; how can someone who i called in this world voluntarily be an idiot?"
Seeing that Theodore had honest look on his face and even said it out loud without hesitation, Bellatrix's heart trembled again, and she muttered in a low voice, "Then why did you say that, idiot?" before she walked into the old store, meanwhile Theodore who was looking at another system prompt in front of him, smiled, and followed behind.
It had been quiet, but as he entered the Leaky Cauldron he began to feel as though he had walked into a fish market; the small front was crowded with people enjoying their drinks, young and old of all ages drinking and enjoying each other's company.
"Welcome! oh Theodore, welcome, welcome." Tom, the bar owner, was wiping the dust off his beer glass with a slightly dirty cloth. When he heard the door open, he looked up and greeted, thinking it was a Muggle family with their son or daughter to buy school supplies for Hogwarts; but seeing it was a familiar face, he greeted him with a warm smile, and then saw a young beauty accompanying him. He couldn't help asking, "And who might be this beautiful lady?"
