Later that day, Zayne sat before the two girls, MJ and Gwen. He stared at them for a moment before he let out a sigh.
He then turned to Gwen and asked, in a dead serious tone, "So you are telling me you got bitten by a white spider, which was potentially the result of a genetic experiment?"
"Hmm," Gwen simply nodded, unable to utter a word due to nervousness. She has never seen him so serious.
Zayne then turned towards his sister and questioned in the same tone, "You, as well, got bitten by a spider that somehow snuck into your jacket?"
"Yes," MJ replied with a shiver. Zayne stared at her for a moment before continuing with his question, "Where is it now?"
"Dead. I stamped it with my boots in nervousness," MJ quickly replied. Zayne sighed at her words and asked further, "Its carcass?"
"I… I threw it away," MJ said with a nervous chuckle. After thinking it through, it was quite stupid of her. But what's done is done, she can't change it.
"That's quite brilliant of you, MJ," Zayne complimented with a sweet smile, but the two girls knew it was simply sarcasm.
Meanwhile, Zayne sighed internally at how the web of destiny had caught these girls.
'If everything goes alright, Gwen will become Ghost-Spider while MJ might become Spider-Woman. But before that, let me check their stats,' As Zayne thought to himself, he used the APPRAISAL on the two girls and to his shock, instead of the supposed two panels, three popped up.
The first two belonged to Gwen and MJ respectively, but the last one almost made him groan out in frustration.
'What the fuck is this thing doing in Oscorp!?' Zayne screamed internally as he glanced through the last panel.

'Fortunately, it hasn't bound to MJ yet. It must be looking for someone with spider genes,' Zayne thought to himself, as he realised that MJ hasn't yet turned into a spider mutant, thus, the symbiote hasn't yet bound to it.
But as soon as her body transforms, the symbiote would bind to her. 'I need to get it out of her body,' Zayne thought as he looked at the two with an actual serious look. Previously, it was simply the work of his DECEPTION skill.
"Both of you will be staying here tonight, and you will be a leave for tomorrow. Rest in your rooms. If anything happens, don't hesitate to call me," Zayne immediately left after ordering them to rest.
MJ and Gwen looked at each other, worry evident in their eyes.

At night, MJ was called to the garage by Zayne. Gwen decided to follow her as well.
"Zayne? What's with these huge speakers?" MJ asked in a hesitant voice as she glanced at the massive speakers set up in the garage.
"MJ, stand on that mark, and Gwen, get behind me," Zayne curtly ordered while checking if all the switches were turned on correctly.
"Why d-" Before MJ could ask any other question, Zayne quickly cut her off by saying, "Just do it. I will explain to you later."
Looking at Zayne's confident tone, MJ stood on the mark after some hesitation while Gwen walked towards Zayne and stood behind him.
A few moments later, Zayne said, "Alright MJ, get ready."
"For what?" Replied MJ. Zayne simply smirked and said, "For some music."
He pressed a button and immediately, the speakers burst out, producing massive waves of ultrasonic attack, hitting MJ's body.
MJ quickly shut off her ears at the sound, but what was surprising was that as soon as the ultrasonic waves hit her, they didn't hurt her, but a strange, wiggling, viscous red liquid dispersed from her back.
It appeared to be struggling to get off hold of MJ but the ultrasonic waves simply pushed it until it completely separated from MJ.
Seeing the opportunity, Zayne quickly leapt towards the viscous red liquid and used the glass container he prepared to capture the symbiote.
Zayne struggled a bit but finally managed to grab hold of it. He quickly closed the lead to prevent any unwanted accidents.
"Finally," He muttered while wiping his non-existent sweat from his forehead.
"Zayne, what the hell is that thing!?" Gwen ran towards Zayne while shouting in shock. MJ, who arrived after her, quickly recognized the viscous red liquid.
"I saw it in the lab, what's it doing here?" MJ covered her mouth in fear as she realised that this thing was inside her body. Her body shivered as she thought of this and she couldn't help but utter, "Zayne?"
"Don't worry, MJ. Nothing is wrong with you. You are completely fine and healthy," Zayne assured her and continued, "Now you both should rest in your rooms, if something happens, call me immediately."
The two girls nodded and headed upstairs. Meanwhile, Zayne returned to his room as well, but he went to the other world using the door.

In the other world, Zayne picked up multiple books from the bookshelf One thing he realised was that this world was much different than the one from the manga.
Not only the wooden house was quite huge, with multiple floors, but there was also a basement, with a forge, a crafting room, a training room and a meditation room.
Additionally, there were multiple books on various professions such as Swordsmanship, Spearmanship, Archery, Forging, Apothecary and Alchemy.
The books were further divided into three grades — Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.
Currently, Zayne has just picked up on the basics of all the books, though it will still take time before he can master the basic grade.
He also got multiple skills which combined to form two main skills, TRUE COMBAT ARTS and CRAFTING. Both of them were at level 1 currently.
Zayne checked his status panel as he sat down on the study table.

After taking a look at the status panel, Zayne started absorbing the knowledge from the books. With his high intelligence stat, it was a child's play for him.
The only reason he didn't do so before was that he didn't have much time.
"Let's start with alchemy," Zayne said to himself as he felt the need to learn alchemy. Alchemy was, simply put, the material science of the magical world.
Except that the rules were quite absurd in most of the cases.
He planned to create spider suits for MJ and Gwen since he knew, they would try to play the hero. So, instead of stopping them, which was the most logical decision, he decided to ensure that they wouldn't get hurt.
And for that, the symbiote suit was the best option. But the symbiotes themselves had major shortcomings, mainly related to their creator, but Zayne already had an equivalent — the Slime Essence.
But before that, Zayne must understand the fundamental properties of symbiotes, thus, the need to learn alchemy and then later, forging to create the suits.
Additionally, Zayne also planned to create magitek, a combination of magic and technology.
