Staring at the suddenly appearing options, Bochang fell deep into thought.
Options two and three offered nearly identical rewards.
The only distinct choice was option one.
"The Universal Key sounds intriguing, claiming it can open any lock... But can it handle combination locks?" Uncertain, Bochang decided to give it a try, "Option one!"
Bochang stepped forward alone, bypassing everyone else, and approached Qingque. He declared, "It's just a door; let me take care of it!"
However...
An awkward situation arose.
There was no sound from the system, nor was the reward dispensed.
"Ah? ↘↗" Bochang internally uttered with rising concern, suspecting the reason behind this delay, "Could it be that this time, the reward won't be given until I actually open the door..."
Clearly, his suspicion proved accurate.
Bochang had been standing before the blue gate for exactly three seconds, yet the Dating Options showed no reaction whatsoever.
"Bochang, weren't you supposed to open the door?" March 7th pressed her chin, eyes slightly narrowed as she scrutinized him, "Why are you just standing there, doing nothing?"
"I was just thinking... is there any possibility we could directly blast this door open?" Bochang pondered potential strategies.
Qingque sighed and shook his head, saying, "It's impossible. The Divination Commission's gate is incredibly sturdy. Once closed, attempting to force it open from the outside would likely require the General himself."
"However..." he continued, "with chaos unfolding at the Divination Commission, their defensive mechanisms may be significantly weakened. Forcing the gate might be feasible... as long as you're willing to cover the repair costs for the Divination Commission's entrance."
Qingque turned around, observing Bochang who stood frowning at the blue-green gate, and asked, "What about scaling over the wall?"
"There are defense mechanisms; it's not possible to climb over." Qingque once again shook his head in dismissal.
At that moment, the mahjong girl had grown weary of standing idly.
"No need to trouble yourself with finding solutions. The Divination Commission has more than just this one entrance. I know of another location suitable for emergency access."
"We can't...allow Qingque to lead everyone through another door," Bochang's mind raced rapidly. "Is there any way to...wait...this main gate should be openable from the inside, right?"
Just as Qingque was about to guide them towards an alternative entrance, Bochang spoke up again, "Qingque, if you go inside, could you open this gate?"
"Yes, but we won't be able to enter."
Qingque displayed a resigned expression.
The Divination Commission, being a crucial location within Xianzhou, was heavily fortified. Infiltrating it seemed nearly impossible; although the high walls appeared easy to scale, they were actually reinforced with spatial barrier technology. Attempting to cross would be futile unless one could break the very fabric of space at that point.
Moreover, even teleportation techniques were restricted, rendering them ineffective.
From Qingque's perspective, she thought Bochang was merely wasting their time, with no practical purpose.
"Can't enter? How will we know without trying?" Without further ado, Bochang grabbed Qingque's shoulder and activated his teleportation ring. "Let's go together."
The Mahjong Girl was taken aback, exclaiming, "Huh?"
Moments later...
A white glow enveloped both of them.
Bochang and Qingque instantly vanished before everyone's eyes, leaving only the echo of the Mahjong Girl's startled voice hanging in the air.
Realizing the situation, March 7th, Stelle, and Serval simultaneously looked down at their own teleportation rings. Their rings had already been blood-activated and linked to Bochang's, making it straightforward to teleport alongside him.
March 7th asked, "Should we directly teleport over as well?"
"We can just wait for them to open the gate, right?" Stelle seemed unperturbed.
Serval agreed, "Yes, opportunities to use the teleportation rings are precious; it's best not to waste them... Who knows when they might save our lives..."
Recalling the encounter with the Stellaron Hunters earlier that day, Serval still felt a lingering sense of unease.
Without Bailu's presence, Serval couldn't fathom how she and Bochang alone could face Blade.
Welt Yang and Tingyun remained expressionless.
Bailu, on the other hand, gazed enviously at the teleportation rings on their right hands, wondering when she might obtain one herself.
Meanwhile...
With a blink of an eye, Bochang and Qingque found themselves inside the entrance of the Divination Commission. Astonished by the familiar surroundings, Qingque exclaimed, "Wait... How did you get here? Through spatial teleportation? But that can't be... Isn't space manipulation restricted within the Divination Commission? Teleportation should be prohibited; why were you able to..."
Qingque felt utterly bewildered, her worldview seemingly shaken.
Bochang quickly scanned the area inside the gate.
How absurd!
Upon entering the Divination Commission, they immediately encountered several Mara-Struck monsters guarding the area, along with creations imbued with Wind and Lightning elements.
It seemed as though this place had already been overtaken by the creatures.
One of the Inner Core cultivators from Sanctus Medicus spotted them and promptly shouted, "Who goes there?!"
This outburst jolted Qingque back to reality. Witnessing these talking Mara-Struck monsters was truly eye-opening.
Bochang showed no inclination to respond. Aware that something unforeseen had occurred within the Divination Commission, he had brought the Vow Spear while using the teleportation ring.
Bochang took the initiative and launched an attack, unsurprisingly initiating combat.
"Open the door; leave the enemies to me," were Bochang's only words before engaging.
Activating his various abilities, the Invisible Hand swiftly extended towards the adversaries, centered around himself.
The Inner Core disciples of Sanctus Medicus were ordinary monsters.
Compared to the Mara-Struck Soldiers, their only differences lay in appearance, possessing intelligence, and utilizing ranged attacks.
There was nothing particularly unique about them.
As Qingque watched Bochang single-handedly confront the enemies, she initially intended to assist him. However...
Seeing Bochang engulfed in flames, swiftly thrusting his spear hundreds of times, instantly killing several Wind creatures rushing towards them... Qingque decided against helping and instead focused on opening the Divination Commission's door.
She didn't have a key, and attempting to open it from inside required solving a puzzle-like game.
Only after successfully completing the puzzle...
would the gates unlock.
Who established this rule? None other than Master Diviner himself - Fu Xuan.
It was said to be for keeping everyone mentally sharp.
The encounter was swift and ended just as quickly.
By the time Qingque spent nearly a minute opening the Divination Commission's door, Bochang had single-handedly eliminated all enemies.
The monsters guarding this area were not formidable. Utilizing the peculiarities of his Invisible Hand along with abilities like Hundred Birds Homing Spear, defeating them proved effortless for Bochang.
As the gate creaked open, revealing March 7th and the others once more...
the system's voice chimed in synchronously.
