Chapter 26: 6 Months

Six Months Later

Pentos had transformed into a disciplined stronghold under Alex's rule. The city, once crumbling under corruption and neglect, now thrived with order and innovation. The freed slaves had been integrated into society, either as civilians contributing to Pentos' growth or as soldiers under Alex's command.

Alex's army now numbered 4,000 soldiers, all trained rigorously. The 200 Unsullied were given customized AR-15 rifles and reinforced armor, making them not just formidable but nearly invincible in combat. They were designated as squad leaders, each commanding a squad of 20men, each equipped with a Flintlock gun due to their much cheaper price and to keep control over the army.

Alex's four generals:

MARK

RAVEN

LEON

VICTOR

Had been assigned control of 50 squads each, ensuring a seamless chain of command. Each general focused on different aspects of warfare: Mark on strategy, Victor on firepower, Leon on mobility, and Raven on covert operations.

Additionally, Alex had formed a personal guard for Daenerys, consisting of elite female warriors. Trained in close combat and modern firearms, this squad was always at her side, ensuring her safety whenever she ventured outside the castle.

Despite the growing tension, there had been no major announcements from Alex or Daenerys. The people of Pentos could sense something brewing. Soldiers were seen drilling daily, patrols had increased, and rumors of war spread like wildfire.

Daenerys, ever the compassionate queen, spent her days among the people, understanding their concerns and ensuring their well-being. Her personal guard, always armed to the teeth, accompanied her, their presence a stark reminder of the volatile times.

Far from the bustling streets of Pentos, in a secluded hideout on the city's outskirts, two cloaked figures whispered in the shadows.

"These six months have given us ample time to prepare," said one, his voice low and cold. "Alex's army has grown stronger, but strength breeds overconfidence. We can exploit that."

The second figure nodded. "Their training has been relentless, but with no public announcements, the soldiers are restless. We'll infiltrate their ranks, blend in during their drills, and wait for the opportune moment to strike."

"The target"

"Alex himself," the first replied. "Without him, this so-called kingdom crumbles. The queen and her dragons are secondary."

"What of their weapons? The projectiles are unlike anything we've seen."

The first man smiled faintly. "They rely too much on their tools. Without Alex's leadership, they'll falter."

The two exchanged knowing glances before vanishing into the night, their plan set in motion.

Meanwhile, Alex stood in the command room of the castle, surveying a detailed map of Essos with his generals.

"We're ready," Mark reported. "The squads are disciplined, the weapons are prepared, and morale is high. Myr, Lys, and Tyrosh won't stand a chance."

"Good," Alex replied. "But we won't rush. Every move must be calculated. We'll strike when the time is right."

Victor chimed in. "What about intelligence? Do we have eyes on their cities?"

"Not yet," Alex admitted. "But we'll send scouts soon. For now, focus on maintaining order in Pentos. The people need to trust us completely before we march."

Leon and Raven exchanged a glance. "And what of the queen's safety?" Raven asked.

"She has her personal guard," Alex said. "But double the patrols around the castle. I don't trust the peace we've had these past few months. It's too quiet."

As the city of Pentos slept, Alex stood on the balcony of his chambers, gazing out at the moonlit streets. Ancalagon rested in the courtyard below, his obsidian scales glinting in the moonlight. Over these past months Ancalagon has grown quite a lot, reaching about 13ft long and about 6 ft high. He can't come in castle anymore so he always stay in courtyard or flying in air. Compare to him the other pairs are still quite small.

Daenerys joined him, her silver hair glowing softly in the dark.

"Something's bothering you," she said gently.

Alex sighed. "It's too quiet. Six months of peace, but it doesn't feel right. I can't shake the feeling that something or someone is watching us."

Daenerys placed a hand on his arm. "We'll face whatever comes, together."

Alex nodded, though the unease in his chest didn't go away.

Sitting in the war room with a detailed map of the Narrow Sea spread before him, Alex reviewed his current resources. The system credits had dwindled to 6,000 after spending over 40,000 credits on building the army, infrastructure, and military equipment. While the city of Pentos had stabilized under his rule, Alex's gaze was now set on Tyrosh, the first of the three free cities to be targeted.

He tapped his fingers on the table thoughtfully. "Tyrosh… a city of wealth, decadence, and slaves. A former Targaryen military outpost turned independent trading hub. Their wealth and trade routes will bolster our position, but their slavery practices will end under my rule."

He called his four generals to discuss the mission. Mark and Victor, his most proficient generals in firearms tactics and leadership, were chosen for this operation.

Alex laid out the plan on the table, pointing to Tyrosh's location on the map.

"We'll use trading ships in disguise," Alex explained. "Mark and Victor, you'll each command five squads of Unsullied. These soldiers are disciplined, and fully armed with firearms and body armor. Once you land on the island, you must move quickly to avoid giving their ruler, Archon Vogan Nestoris, any chance to escape."

"What's the target?" Victor asked.

"Simple. Kill all the nobles, eliminate Vogan, free the slaves, and take over their estates and assets. Tyrosh thrives on trade and slavery. Once we dismantle their ruling structure, the city will fall under our control with minimal resistance."

Mark studied the map. "What about the Archon's wealth? He'll likely try to flee with it."

Alex nodded. "That's why speed is key. Capture him alive if possible, but don't let him escape. His wealth will fund our next moves."

Victor smirked. "With firearms and Unsullied, taking over Tyrosh will be a piece of cake. They won't know what hit them."

To ensure the operation's success, Alex summoned a trusted merchant who regularly traded with Tyrosh. The merchant was briefed and incentivized to guide the trading ships to the island unnoticed.

"You'll lead two ships," Alex instructed. "One will carry the generals and their squads, disguised as traders. The other will carry additional supplies and reinforcements in case of unexpected resistance. Once you land, Mark and Victor will take over."

The merchant bowed. "It will be done, my king."

The generals began organizing their squads, ensuring every soldier was fully equipped and prepared for the mission. Each Unsullied squad leader received specific instructions, emphasizing stealth during the approach and precision during the attack.

Archon Vogan Nestoris: The Target

While Alex's forces prepared for the mission, the current ruler of Tyrosh, Archon Vogan Nestoris, reveled in his wealth and power. Known as the wealthiest man in Tyrosh, Vogan ruled with an iron fist, relying on his gold and a network of corrupt officials to maintain control.

Unbeknownst to him, his opulent lifestyle and exploitation of slaves had made him a prime target for Alex's revolution.

Before his generals departed, Alex addressed them one last time. "Remember, speed is crucial. If Vogan escapes, it'll complicate the mission. Don't give him time to react. And free the slaves as soon as possible. They'll not only aid in securing the city but also spread our message of liberation."

Mark and Victor saluted. "Understood, Your Majesty."

As the ships set sail under the guise of trade, Alex watched from the castle walls, his mind filled with thoughts of the future. The conquest of Tyrosh was only the beginning.

As the trading ships neared Tyrosh under the cover of night, Mark and Victor prepared their men for the attack.

"This city is wealthy but complacent," Mark whispered to his troops. "They won't expect us. Stay focused, stay disciplined, and this mission will be over before sunrise."

Victor added, "Remember, we're here to send a message. Tyranny and slavery end today."

The soldiers nodded, gripping their firearms tightly.

As the first rays of dawn broke over the horizon, the ships docked in Tyrosh's bustling harbor, their true purpose hidden under the guise of trade.

Alex had already told Victor and Mark to capture people while they attack the city, to find out the estates of the nobles and Vogans.

The reason he told them to kill all the nobles because even if one of them doesn't deserve to die, Alex doesn't have time and patience to investigate the whole tyros and like someone said "People die in war" and "there is no peace without war" once he takes over and frees the slaves and next plan of attack will be on other two Free Cities.
