Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Meeting a Familiar Person
"Yuan muttered, 'You slept well,' as he awoke from a deep slumber.
It had been a while since Yuan last slept. During his waking hours, he would immerse himself in playing with toys, only emerging from his room for meals before returning to his game.
Yuan was well aware of his own desperation, pushing himself to endure physical and mental torture in order to increase his strength. Why? Simply because he yearned to find a cure for his condition, allowing him to function in the real world.
A sense of foreboding settled upon Yuan, as he knew it wouldn't be long before the Yu Family made a move against him. Having delved extensively into the memories of the original Yuan, he had gained a deep understanding of the Yu Family. It wasn't the first time people sought to exploit him; in his previous life, many attempted to take advantage of his youth and lack of experience. Unfortunately for them, they ended up meeting an unfortunate fate.
Anticipating that the Yu Family would soon request him to hold online cultivation concerts, Yuan realized he needed to find a way to improve his mobility. He had no desire to work for the Yu Family.
Lost in his thoughts, Yuan was interrupted by Yu Rou's excited entrance into the room.
"Good morning, Big Brother," Yu Rou greeted him, her face brimming with excitement.
"Good morning, Yu Rou. Did something good happen?" Yuan inquired, intrigued by her elation.
"Haha, can you guess?" Yu Rou replied with a sweet smile and a cheerful voice.
"Let me guess, you've seen the game world," Yuan responded with a smile, recalling his own exhilaration upon entering the game.
"Bingpong! You got it right," Yu Rou exclaimed happily, settling into a chair beside Yuan.
"So, where are you? I'll come to your location," Yuan offered, as he had made a personal commitment to take care of the people who mattered to the original Yuan. It was his way of making amends for taking over his body, even though he knew Yuan was no longer alive. He felt a debt of gratitude towards him.
"It's a city called Spring City in the Eastern Continent," Yu Rou replied, recalling the information she had obtained the previous day.
"Spring City, alright, I'll be there soon," Yuan affirmed, considering asking Xiao Hua for directions.
"Alright, I'll be waiting for you, Big Brother," Yu Rou said with a smile, taking the bowl of soup and beginning to feed Yuan.
Completing his daily routine of eating, cleaning up, and refreshing himself, Yuan returned to the game, while Yu Rou went off to have her meal and attend school.
Yuan immersed himself in the game and heard sounds of a nearby battle. After a few moments, Xiao Hua emerged.
"Welcome back, Brother Yuan," Xiao Hua greeted him with a warm smile.
"Xiao Hua, do you know where Spring City is?" Yuan asked, deciding to ignore the ongoing fight.
Xiao Hua gently shook her head after some thought. "Xiao Hua doesn't know."
"Don't worry, I can ask someone else," Yuan reassured her, as he and Xiao Hua hurried towards the commotion.
The fight was taking place nearby, and within seconds, Yuan and Xiao Hua arrived at the scene.
"This person..." Yuan murmured, recognizing the bloodied and wounded figure engaged in combat with the beast before him.
"Bloody Sword Strike," Yuan exclaimed, as he unleashed a powerful slash towards the bull-like creature.
"Benefactor!" the young man exclaimed, his eyes filled with respect and admiration as he looked at Yuan.
"You're the one who was fighting the Fire Lizard," Yuan said uncertainly, his vision blurred by the young man's blood, dirt, and grime.
"Yes, benefactor. My name is Mo Xie," the young man introduced himself to Yuan with a nod.
"Well, Mo Xie, do you know where Spring City is?" Yuan asked, emphasizing the importance of finding the location.
"Spring City is about 30,000 miles from here," Mo Xie replied, pointing in the direction of the city.
"Is there a city nearby with an Ani Teleportation Device?" Yuan inquired with a furrowed brow, realizing that Spring City was quite far away.
"There's a city called Liang City, about 3,000 miles in that direction," Mo Xie answered, pointing towards Liang City.
"Okay, thank you. Take this healing pill to heal your injuries," Yuan said, throwing a high-grade healing pill to Mo Xie, before charging towards Liang City.
"Benefactor, may I know your name?" Mo Xie urgently shouted, not wanting to be unaware of Yuan's identity.
"Yuan," Mo Xie heard Yuan's voice fading into the distance as he revealed his name.
