Chapter 47: Chapter 43: Catching The Psycho Killer...
After discussing the earlier event where Dorothy nearly caught the psycho killer, everyone went to their respective bedrooms to sleep according to the plan they had discussed.
Midnight...
Suddenly, the balcony door in Valentine's room slowly opened without making any noise.
An owl entered the house without hooting, looked around vigilantly, and confirmed that everything was fine.
Chirp~ chirp~
Finally, it chirped loudly twice, giving a signal.
Just after the owl completed the signal, a hand wearing black gloves grabbed the railing of the balcony and entered without making any noise.
He was wearing a white mask with a mocking expression and a black hood covering his head.
From top to bottom, he was dressed in black, except for his mask.
Following the owl, he quietly entered the room and saw Valentine sleeping soundly, covered from head to toe in a bedsheet.
Hehe~
Snickering, the hooded man walked towards the bed and looked at the sleeping Valentine for a few minutes.
After that, he went to the bathroom, killed the owl, and started scribbling on the wall.
"POOR OWL..."
A coarse voice came from behind him, making him feel chills down his spine.
"Who???"
Noticing he had been caught, the psycho killer turned around and looked at every corner to find the culprit but couldn't.
He came out of the bathroom and saw that Valentine was still sleeping peacefully without moving an inch.
Seeing no reaction, the killer felt something was amiss in the room.
He slowly walked towards the bed and slowly lifted the bedsheet covering the pillow to see inside and confirm his doubts.
'Shit! It's a trap...'
Cursing internally, the psycho killer prepared to escape.
Before he could turn around, a bright green flash came from behind him.
Green crystals emerged from the floor, pierced his hands, and lifted him, cutting off his chance to escape.
Before him stood Diamondhead, folding his hands and looking at him with mockery.
"What are you?"
With pain evident in his voice, the psycho killer asked Diamondhead.
"WELL, THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW... TELL ME... WHY ARE YOU TARGETING MISS VALENTINE, GENDO SHIMURA."
Taking the two-leaf grimoire floating beside the psycho killer, Diamondhead demanded.
Phew~
"Why do you care?"
Removing the mask and hood from Gendo's head, Ben saw the smirk on the old man before him, who was over 45.
Gendo spat on the ground mockingly and sneered at Diamondhead.
Click~
"You should have invaded his memory using that ghost. Why did you transform into this diamond thing?"
Opening the door, everyone came inside while Dorothy asked Ben, annoyed at Gendo for not answering.
"YOU WANT ME TO INVADE THIS PSYCHO'S HEAD... NO THANKS..."
Ben shook his head in denial, rejecting Dorothy's idea.
Along with Valentine, her family entered the room, now glaring at Gendo angrily.
He was the reason their family's princess had suffered for days.
Gulp~
"Why are you targeting me? I have never met you. Why so much hatred?"
With a gulp, Valentine gathered the courage to confront the psycho killer before her, stepping forward and asking the question that had been bothering her.
"____"
Hearing Valentine mention she had never met him, Gendo's face sank and turned ugly.
"Don't remember me? Huh... don't remember me? How would you remember me when you were with that fucking bastard Jonny!!!..."
Hahaha~
After screaming, Gendo started laughing loudly like a madman.
"No!!! I have never met you!!!"
Seeing this, everyone became confused. Valentine couldn't control her frustration and snapped.
With a sneer, Gendo began telling his side of the story.
Past...
When Gendo was an artist, even though his magic did not support him in this area, his talent for painting was outstanding.
One day, he was painting a beautiful scene of a bridge under the rain where a carriage was passing through when he saw Valentine. His eyes widened in surprise at her beauty, and he felt his heart pierced by something.
From then on, Gendo tried to collect as much information about Valentine as he could.
He told his best friend Jonny about her, showing him the love of his life, and asked for advice on how to approach her.
One day, due to work, Gendo had to move to another place.
When he came back, he was devastated to see his best friend had betrayed him by hooking up with Valentine.
He felt immense sorrow; he couldn't sleep, and anger surged inside him like a volcano.
Finally, after days, he made up his mind—he wanted revenge.
So he found a suitable time and killed Jonny, giving him a slow and painful death.
When he sighed with relief, he discovered that Valentine had a good relationship with Lilly.
He felt jealous and wanted to take that away from Valentine.
So he executed his plan perfectly, killed Lilly, and faked evidence implicating Jonny as the murderer.
When he saw Valentine cry over Lilly's lifeless body, he felt immense satisfaction for some reason.
Then an idea came to his mind: Valentine should not sing to the public; she belonged to him.
He started tormenting Valentine with threats, ended her suffering, and succeeded in stopping her from participating further in the music competition.
He felt immense satisfaction when he succeeded in his plan.
But for some reason, he felt empty all these years.
He couldn't approach her with love anymore; he wanted to see her suffer.
So this time, he wanted her to participate in the music competition so he could once again harvest his favorite fruit.
But he didn't expect her to find another man, which irritated him greatly.
So he decided to learn about the man who was accompanying Valentine and find a suitable time to kill him.
But he was interrupted by someone who tried to capture him, which resulted in severe backlash.
This reduced his vitality; now he didn't have much time—maximum of two days.
So he decided to end the game once and for all: kill Valentine along with himself after enjoying her fear, and then commit suicide.
Then, both of them would be together in heaven.
Present...
"SERIOUSLY? YOU THINK YOU'LL GO TO HEAVEN?"
Hearing Gendo mention he would go to heaven without any shame—and by the look of it, he believed it—Ben was left speechless.
