Chapter 3: Guaranteed Success
Fin POV
"Haha, who's the cute baby? Yes, you are," Helga cooed, wiggling my arms as I lay in my cot. I wanted to scream.
Make an adult laugh 50 times (48/50) - 200PP
At least my first achievement is almost done. I will have just two more laughs and be rolling in points. It's been about a week since I was reborn, and most of it has been stuck in this stupid cot. Note to self: destroy this cot the first chance I get.
Anyway, my downtime was wasted cause I've been learning a few more things about my situation, mostly the System. After being able to read through the Systems guide fully, it was incredibly extensive, like, so much shit to read. A lot of it explained how different power systems would interact here.
Let's say, for instance, I got some drops like Sukuna's Shrine; it'd automatically give me Curse Energy Manipulation to make it functional (if I didn't already have it). Or if I got something like a Zanpakuto, I'd get spiritual pressure as a byproduct. So, the higher the rarity of a drop, the more transformative it could be.
That was the conclusion I got to anyway.
Helga's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Oh, you're such a clever baby, right?"
It's time to finish this.
I stuck my tongue out and blew a raspberry, the noise echoing in the room. Helga burst out laughing, her entire face lighting up with joy.

Now, to go for the kill. I scrunched my face, crossing my eyes in the most exaggerated way I could. Helga burst out laughing once again, with tears streaming down her cheek. Adults are weird.
Achievement Unlocked: Make an adult laugh 50 times - 200PP
Thank fucking, finally!
Time paused as I checked my points.
[Normal Roll] - 100PP | [Guaranteed Rare/Mythical Roll] - 1000PP
PP: 240
And before you say anything, the forty points were for taking my first shit.
I mentally sighed in relief. Finally, some progress. Now, I just needed to decide what to do with these points. I could just gamble it and see what my chances are...nope. I'm gonna save up. If I'm earning achievements this quickly, there might be more low-hanging fruit I can exploit. There were tons of other Achievements I could get.
I grinned internally.
It's time to speedrun this shit
...Timeskip...
For the next several weeks, I focused on two of my achievements: taking my first steps and saying my first words. I thought I would've had this done in a day or two, but for some reason, my mouth just doesn't wanna interact with my brain, and neither do my legs.
Of course, Helga found my babbling cute.
Speaking of Helga, from eavesdropping on conversations, I learned that we lived on a farm just outside Amphail, about a three-day ride north of Waterdeep. I wonder if I'll see our exploding wizard anytime soon.
It was just me and Helga here, no father in sight. Since it was just us two, Agatha, another Amphail resident, came to help care for me while Helga worked on the farm throughout the day.
At first, the thought of working on a farm wasn't appealing, but it could be a way to gain some easy points.
I'm sure there is a farm achievement somewhere down the line.
...yap-filled Timeskip later...
950PP.
That's where I got to by the time my second birthday came around.
It was almost over after those "Baby Achievements", as I call them. By now, I was sitting pretty at 950 PP and this close to breaking into the big leagues.
The problem? I was running out of easy achievements.
Then Helga, like an angel from the heavens, handed me an opportunity.
"Fin, can you help me water the plants?"
Achievement: Help Water the Plants - 50PP
Haha, the plot moves forward!
Helga handed me a little wooden bucket that was clearly too big for me. I stared at her, then at the bucket, then back at her. It was practically half my size. I then took the bucket, almost dropping it when she let go. I wasn't about to let that stop me.
"Of course," I said—or at least, that's what I tried to say. It probably sounded more like "Offf gorf" because my toddler's mouth still wasn't cooperating with my brain.
Helga chuckled. "That's my boy."
I took the bucket, waddling over to the well. My arms shook as I filled it with water and nearly toppled over trying to lift it.
Step by wobbly step, I carried the bucket over to the garden. Water sloshed everywhere—on my feet, on the ground, on a very disgruntled chicken—but I managed to dump the remaining water onto the plants.
Helga clapped her hands. "You did it, Fin! Such a big helper!"
Yes! Praise me, woman!

The notification flashed before my eyes, and my PP counter ticked up.
PP: 1000
I froze.
I did it. I actually did it.
Helga kept clapping, oblivious to my actual celebration. "Such a clever boy! You're gonna be a big help around the farm, right?"
I grinned, water dripping from my clothes. "Yup!"
Or at least, I think that's what I said. It probably came out more like, "Yuh!"
...
After my triumphant milestone, I waddled to my room, closing the door behind me with a grunt. The small wooden door creaked as I pushed it, and I immediately flopped down onto the dusty floor. The moment the door clicked shut, I felt my heart race.
This was it.
I plopped onto my butt and opened the System window, the room turning grey.
I'd read the rules. I knew what was coming. Rare and Mythical rolls were no joke. The rewards could change my entire future. Hell, this could be the edge I needed to start speeding through this world, racking up more points, completing more achievements.
With a deep breath, I tapped the button.
The blue glow from the System window intensified.

[You have rolled - Observation (Kenbunshoku) Haki - Rare]
I blinked
''WOOOOO!" I yelped, jumping on my bed
When my feet hit the soft mattress, the momentum sent me soaring higher than expected, and I flailed like a ragdoll in mid-air. Before I could even register what was happening, my foot caught the edge of the bedframe.
*Thud*
