(JC: This chapter will show you what would happen if Mavis instead of meeting Zeref, met our favorite Ninja)

205 After the Devil Civil War

-"Well..."- Naruto smiled. -"It's time"-

Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze, the Yōsokage of Yōsogakure No Sato, was in the middle of starting a plan.

And what plan will it be?, you ask. Well, the plan to escape from work and the infamous paperwork; that no matter how many Clones he creates, it never ends. The good thing was that Naruto could rest while the Clones did the work.

Now Naruto will go to Avalon, the world of Celtic-Irish Mythology, with the excuse of negotiating an alliance. Although Naruto's true intention is to go and ask if he could stay there, and have a vacation with his wives. A perfect plan to escape from work; or at least that was Naruto's thoughts.

Naruto then activated his [Rinne-Sharingan], then began to open a portal to Avalon.

Naruto began to imagine Avalon; in short, a fantasy world with magic and wizards, with various fantastic creatures such as Dragons. Shortly after, a portal opened in front of him.

Naruto calmly passed through the portal which then closed.

Not knowing that he made a small mistake...

When Naruto came out of the portal, he was confused when he didn't find the typical view of medieval houses and castles that characterized Avalon. What he saw was a big blue sky all around him.

Then Naruto saw several birds flying next to him; and so he realized something important.

That when he arrived, he wasn't stepping on anything solid...

Naruto fearing the worst, began to look down slowly. He turned pale when he saw that he was high enough to be above the clouds.

-"Oh shit-AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH-!"-

Naruto screamed as he began to fall.

-"This is going to be exciting!"-

A girl on a boat in the middle of the sea shouted. The girl has very long, wavy, light blonde hair, dull green eyes, and a light build, like a child's. She is wearing a pink dress with white layered ruffles with red edges and blue figures. She also has a red bow on the neck of the dress and it looks like she has pink wings, simulating protuberances, around her ears.

-"I'm still not sure about this"-

Another girl on the boat spoke up, not as excited as her friend. The girl is in her teens. She has brown eyes and dark hair, which she kept tied in a pair of pigtails and a series of bangs that hung in a messy way over her forehead. She wears a kind of dress that is a little short and reaches to her hips and has a pair of straps, she wears dark colored tights on her legs and wears a pair of tall boots that contain a bow in front and reach to the bottom of her knees.

-"Mo~, where's your sense of adventure Zera?"-

The blonde girl asked with a pout to the now known Zera.

-"I'm just being realistic, Mavis"- Zera replied to the now familiar Mavis. -"After all, it's our first time leaving Tenrou Island"-

Mavis smiled. -"Come on, it'll be fun!"-

Before Zera could speak, the two heard a scream. -"Did you hear that?"-

-"Yes"- Mavis said, curious about the sudden scream. -"It was like a scream"-

And then something quickly fell into the water next to the boat, causing a small wave that wet the girls and shook the boat.

-"What's going on!?"-

A man who came out of the boat asked, upset. He is a young, tall man with an athletic build. He has spiky blond hair. He is wearing a black t-shirt under an open jacket with a light brown collar and two pockets in the front, one on each side of his chest. He wears long black pants and black boots as well as a belt.

With him came two other men.

One is a tall, strong young man with unruly black hair. His clothing consisted of a long dark green vest and black pants that were half covered with a green cloth. He also wore a bracelet on his left arm.

The other is a man with a muscular and well-defined figure, with ash-blond hair combed back and black eyes. He is wearing a dark fur-lined cloak, and what looked like a loose tunic underneath it.

The three quickly approached Mavis and Zera.

-"Something just fell into the water from the sky"-

Mavis answered while looking curiously at the place where she fell.

But before they could continue asking, something began to emerge from the water; then a person came out strongly. To the surprise of those present, said person landed above the water and walked on it.

-"Ah~"- Naruto sighed in relief. -"I thought I would die of fright"-

Then he noticed the presence of the ship and its passengers.

They stayed silent for several seconds, which Naruto then broke.

-"Hello..."-

Naruto greeted them with a blank face, and with a raised hand.

-"""Is that all you're going to say, and why are you making that face!?"""-

Everyone asked in shock; except Mavis, who was laughing and Zera, who was hiding behind her.

-"Hello!"- Mavis greeted her back with a smile. -"I'm Mavis Vermilion!"-

-"Mavis, don't say hello!"- Zera whispered in her ear. -"It could be dangerous!"-

Naruto smiled at Mavis. -"Nice to meet you Mavis-chan. I'm Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze. Would you mind letting me get on the boat?"-

Mavis nodded her head. -"Of course, get on!"-

-"Hey, you're not in charge here!"-

The spiky-haired man shouted angrily at Mavis; but it was too late, since Naruto had already jumped onto the boat.

Naruto smiled at everyone. -"Thanks for letting me get on."-

-"We won't let you."- Said the ash-blond-haired man, as he pulled a chain knife out of his sleeve. -"And who are you?"-

-"Didn't I just introduce myself?"-

Naruto asked him with a blank face, causing the ash-haired man to have a throbbing vein.

-"I'm not talking about that!"- He shouted angrily. -"I'm talking about how you walked on water!"-

-"Are you a Magician?"-

The spiky-blond-haired man asked this time.

-"Ah, well; technically I am a Magician."-

Naruto answered them; remembering all the knowledge he knows about Magic.

The spiky blond haired man nodded understandingly. -"Well, that explains it."-

-"Yeah, well, changing the subject. Can I know the name of the owners of the ship that let me on?"-

Naruto asked them politely.

The spiky blond smiled. -"I'm Yuri Dreyar."-

The black-haired man smiled kindly. -"I'm Warrod Sequen"-

-"Precht Gaebolg"- Precht stoically introduced himself. -"And we won't let you up"-

Naruto then turned to Zera, who was still hidden behind Mavis.

-"And are you pretty, young lady?"-

Naruto asked with a smile, while looking at Zera.

-"Huh!?"-

Zera screamed surprised that he saw her, while the three men looked confused at Naruto.

-"I'm sorry, this girl is super shy"- Mavis told him with a smile, then looked at Zera. -"Come on, introduce yourself!"-

Zera nervously introduced herself. -"I-I'm Ze-Zera"-

Naruto smiled at her when he noticed that she was very shy. -"It's a pleasure, Zera"-

Zera made a sound of surprise again, then hid behind a smiling Mavis again. The three men, meanwhile, continued to look at the scene in confusion.

-"Is it okay? Introductions aside"- Yuri looked at Naruto curiously. -"What brings you here, Naruto?"-

-"Eh, I was heading somewhere specific and suddenly"- Naruto smiled nervously. -"I got lost"-

-"And how did you end up in the sky?"-

Warrod asked him.

-"Hehehehehe"- Naruto laughed nervously, while scratching the back of his neck. -"It's hard to explain"-

He avoided saying that he wanted to teleport to another dimension; and failed miserably. Although it seemed that they were aware of magic; but it was still strange.

Yuri looked at Naruto confused, then shrugged. -"Well, we'll be about to reach a port city; maybe they'll help you there"-

-"Yeah, that would help me"- Naruto said with a smile. -"Thank you very much"-

He then started talking to Mavis.

-"Are you sure you want to let him stay?"-

Precht asked Yuri, not having much confidence in Naruto.

-"Yeah; he doesn't seem like a bad person"- Yuri answered with a smile, while looking at Mavis talking animatedly with Naruto about Magic. -"Besides, it seems that Mavis likes him"-

-"Hmph"- Precht snorted seriously, then looked seriously at Naruto. -"I'll keep an eye on him"-

And so Naruto began a new adventure...

-"Whoa!"- Mavis said impressed. -"Impressive!"-

Everyone had already arrived at Hargeon Port City.

And during the trip, Naruto was able to meet the group. Naruto discovered that both Yuri, Warrod and Precht are Treasure Hunters looking for a stolen rare Jade, while Mavis and Zera are the only inhabitants of the island where the Jade came from and, they went out with the intention of knowing the outside and recovering the Jade.

As well as finding and seeing fairies; although that was Mavis's goal.

Also during the trip, Naruto could find the company of Mavis and Zera very pleasant; although the latter was very shy. Naruto and Mavis talked about Magic; and there he discovered that she knew a lot about Magic.

And currently Mavis looked at the whole city being surprised.

Unlike Zera, who looked at everything with nervousness and shyness. -"There are too many people..."-

-"Look! Look!"- Mavis said with excitement, while looking at a fisherman passing by nearby. -"He's a fisherman!"-

Zera looked at him too. -"I imagine he must be very good at catching fish..."-

-"So you two actually never left that island"- Yuri said surprised. -"I'm very surprised"-

Meanwhile, Naruto was looking around in confusion. -(Where am I?)-

At first he thought he was still in the Human World; but during the boat trip and arrival at the port city, he completely discarded it. Then he thought it was a hidden wizard country like Oz; but Naruto wasn't so sure.

-"I'm going to look for information in the town about Blue Skull"- Precht said, as he walked away from the group. -"You guys get an inn"-

-"If that's the case"- Mavis said with a smile. -"Allow me to accompany you!"-

-"Wait a second"- Zera said, trying to stop Mavis, failing completely. -"Mavis!"-

-"Since"- Naruto said with a smile. -"I'll go too"-

-"What..."-

Precht was surprised that he had to go with Mavis and Naruto.

-"Zera, wait for me at the inn!"-

Mavis shouted with a smile, as she followed Precht.

-"Look at that!"-

Yuri said with a laugh as she saw Mavis with Precht. Warrod just sighed with a smile.

Before Naruto followed Mavis and Precht, Zera spoke to him.

-"Na-Naruto, please take care of Mavis"- Zera said with shyness and concern. -"That guy... I don't like him very much"-

-"Who? Precht?"- Naruto smiled at her. -"He's not bad, I assure you; he's just grumpy"-

-"I'm not!"-

Precht shouted angrily; even though he was close enough to hear what Naruto said.

Naruto chuckled, then put his hand on Zera's head and shook her hair. Zera opened her eyes in shock at Naruto's touch; her cheeks turned red.

-"Relax, everything will be fine"-

Naruto told her with a smile, then followed Precht and Mavis's steps.

Unaware that both Yuri and Warrod, and the people around, were looking at him strangely.

The group was walking down the street. Precht walking seriously, Mavis looking at everything with excitement and Naruto looking curious.

Precht looked at the smiling Mavis for a second, then looked away. -"Hmph!"-

After a few minutes of walking, the group arrived at a bar to get information. They entered the bar and went straight to talk to the owner at the bar.

-"Blue Skull?"- The owner said reluctantly while cleaning a glass. -"Hmm... It's not a guild I've heard mentioned much around here."-

-"Do you have any information you can share with us?"-

Precht asked; in an attempt to get even the tiniest bit of information.

-"Try somewhere else."-

The owner answered turning his back.

-"I thought at least they would have been more noticeable but I think-"-

-"A lot of Magic Guilds have been appearing lately..."- The owner interrupted him. -"It's hard to keep track of them all."- Then he looked at the group mockingly. -"But, are you interested in some milk?"-

-"No, what we want is information."-

Mavis answered while standing on tiptoe to look over the bar.

-(How cute!)-

Naruto couldn't help but think how adorable Mavis was.

The owner looked back at the group. -"If that's it, then get out of here, babysitter"- He mocked, causing all the customers to start laughing. -"Obviously we don't sell dolls here"-

-"Tch!"- Precht clicked his tongue in annoyance, then turned around to leave. -"We'll go somewhere else"-

-"Wait a minute"- Mavis spoke, stopping Precht in his tracks. She looked intently at the owner. -"How do you know that Blue Skull is a Magic Guild?"-

-"Huh?"-

The owner just muttered dumbly.

Precht upon hearing that, glanced at the owner out of the corner of his eye.

Naruto looked at the owner with a raised eyebrow.

-"Countless Combat, Merchant, and Industrial Guilds stop here and yet... you refer to Blue Skull as a Magic Guild?"- Mavis said, causing the owner to start sweating. -"Which means that at least you know them."-

Meanwhile, Naruto and Precht stood on either side of her, looking at the owner with their arms crossed.

The owner made a sign with his head, which Precht and Naruto noticed.

-"No. Er, the thing is..."-

The owner muttered dumbly as he watched as two men stood behind Precht and Naruto with the intentions of attacking them; but the two saw the intentions of both.

Before a tragedy began, Precht grabbed Mavis and then landed a paw on his attacker, while Naruto hit his attacker hard in the face.

-"Would you mind explaining?"-

Precht asked the owner seriously.

The owner just complained, then yelled at the customers, who also stood up to fight.

-"There are only two of them!"- The owner yelled at them. -"Kick your asses!"-

Precht seeing the customers' intentions, took out his blades with chains and began to attack his opponents with skill. Naruto did nothing when he saw that Precht could handle it alone.

-"I'm the one who dances with swords..."- Precht said, as he finished defeating his opponents. -"And I also do it as a hobby"-

The owner began to sweat more when he saw everyone defeated.

Mavis was impressed. -"Whoa!"-

Naruto was also impressed. -"Not bad"-

-"Damn treasure hunter"-

The owner complained. Now seeing himself cornered, he pulled a rope, activating a trap. When the trap was activated, both Mavis, Naruto and Precht were surrounded by a circle of Runes.

-"You don't have what it takes to defeat a real Magician..."-

The owner told them with a smile. Then the circle of Runes began to glow.

-"A Magic Circle!?"- Mavis screamed in surprise. Then she noticed a skull-shaped mark on the chest of the bar owner. -"That's the Blue Skull crest!"-

-"That man... He's the member of Blue Skull"- Precht said angrily. -"You're scum!"-

-"Hey you! If I were you I'd be more careful"- The owner told him with a smile. -"Dare to step a foot outside that Magic Circle and every part of your body will adorn the floor of this establishment"-

Precht complained. -"Kuh!"-

Meanwhile, Naruto and Mavis looked at the Magic Circle carefully.

-(Wait a minute...)-

Naruto then saw a mistake in the Magic Circle.

-"Blue Skull is a Dark Guild, which means that legal work is not our thing. That's why we need someone to keep the ears of strangers away from our information"- The bar owner explained to them, while pouring himself a glass of beer. -"That person? You guessed it, it's me"-

-"You're basically just a simple subordinate."-

-"Yes, exactly!"- The owner accepted Precht's words, then noticed his mistake. -"Er... I mean... Shut up, bastard!"-

Then Precht noticed that Mavis was lying on the floor, looking at the Magic Circle. -"What are you doing down there?"-

-"Hmm, this Rune is incorrect..."-

Mavis said, surprising Precht and the bar owner.

-"That's true."- Naruto agreed. -"This Magic Circle is more like a type of barrier that is made up of Rezon Runes, but-"-

-"Here, it seems that they have used a Logo Rune."- Mavis continued the explanation. -"They look very similar, so the confusion is understandable."- Then she began to walk out of the Magic Circle. -"Which meant that..."-

Precht was surprised by her action. -"Oi, stop!"-

-"This magic circle won't work properly"-

Naruto said, also walking out of the Magic Circle.

-"So even if you step outside the circle, there won't be any repercussions"-

Mavis finished as she walked out of the Magic Circle with Naruto, surprising Precht.

She then looked at the bar owner with a smile. -"By the way, I can use magic too"-

That information surprised the owner.

Precht was also surprised. -"Did you say Magic!?"-

-"I've studied it for seven years! So it's only natural that at this level I can already use magic"- Mavis said with a smile, then she raised both arms and her body began to shine -"Emerge. From the stairs of heaven, descend, sacred guardian beast..."- The glow on her body began to take shape. -"[Heavenly Wolf]!"-

Mavis shouted, then a large ferocious wolf with black marks on its arms and head formed; as well as small trees growing on its legs.

-"AAAAHHHHHH!"-

The owner screamed in terror.

Precht was shocked. -"What!?"-

-"Oh!"- Naruto was shocked; but then he looked carefully at the wolf, then noticed something. -(It's an illusion!)-

-"Where is the Blue Skull base?"- Mavis asked the owner seriously. -"Speak now"-

-"Of course..."-

The owner nodded; terrified by the gigantic wolf in front of him.

-"An illusion?"-

Precht was surprised by the information.

Mavis smiled at him. -"That's right"-

Currently the group was walking down the street towards the inn after having gotten the information they wanted.

-"So the giant wolf was fake?"-

Mavis nodded at Precht's question. -"That's my Magic"-

Then Precht looked at Naruto, who was walking next to Mavis and didn't seem surprised. -"Did you know that?"-

-"Yes. A few seconds after it appeared I realized it was an illusion"- Naruto answered with a smile, then put his hand on Mavis' head and shook her hair. -"You're amazing Mavis-chan! You surprised me with that illusion!"-

-"Hehehehe~"-

Mavis laughed at Naruto's caresses while her cheeks turned red.

Precht looked at the two in shock.

Mavis stepped forward and then looked at Precht and Naruto with a smile. -"With this Magic, your swords, and your knowledge, we will definitely... get the Blue Skull Tenrou Jade back."-

Naruto just smiled as Precht continued to sweat.

Mavis then struck a pose. -"We've located the enemy! A village west of here! Magnolia!"- She then started to walk around hopping with a smile. -"We must inform the others immediately!"-

-"Keep jumping around like that and you'll be done for-"-

Precht tried to warn her, but Mavis had already tripped.

-"Oww!"-

Mavis screamed as she fell to the ground, while Precht shook his head.

Naruto laughed; which caused him to not notice his surroundings, causing him to accidentally bump into a black-haired and black-eyed boy who was walking by.

What Naruto didn't notice either, was that the boy opened his eyes in horror when he collided with him.

Naruto looked at him sadly. -"Oh, I'm sorry"-

The boy looked at Naruto in shock. -"You..."-

Naruto was confused. -"Uh?"-

-"Nothing. Excuse me"-

The boy said, then continued walking.

Naruto looked at the boy and narrowed his eyes when he felt his aura surrounding him.

An aura of death...

But what confused Naruto was that he had no bad intentions; rather he saw sadness and loneliness inside him.

-(Interesting...)-

Naruto thought, then started walking.

-"Man"- Yuri said impatiently. -"How far is Magnolia!?"-

-"We still have to walk three days before we get there"-

Precht answered calmly.

Currently the group was in the middle of a forest, walking to reach Magnolia.

Warrod looked at his two companions. -"Why don't we camp here for tonight?"-

-"Whaaat!?"- Zera complained. -"Camp!?"-

Mavis smiled at him. -"Don't you think it will be something full of a lot of fun, Zera?"-

-"This isn't Tenrou Island!"- Zera said. -"There are all these weird bugs and they could even be poisonous snakes!"-

-"Psht Who cares!"- Mavis snorted with a smile. -"We camp together!"-

-"Very well!"- Yuri said excitedly, then walked away. -"I'll go look for some things we can use as firewood!"-

Precht walked away calmly. -"I'll go hunt some animals"-

Warrod also walked away. -"I'm going to go look for some edible plants"-

Mavis smiled. -"I'm going to keep watch over the camp"-

-"Uh... Uh... Well then I'm going fishing!"-

Zera said excitedly as she walked away.

Naruto approached her with a smile. -"And I'll go with you"-

-"Huh!?"- Zera got nervous. -"Ah, ok-okay!"-

The two then went fishing.

While everyone else was doing their jobs, Naruto and Zera were at a lake fishing.

Naruto had already caught a lot of fish, while Zera hadn't caught any.

Naruto seeing that it was starting to get dark and that there was no one around, he thought it was the best time to talk to Zera about a topic that's bothering him.

-"Zera?"-

-"Uh?"-

Zera asked, being more focused on catching a fish.

-"What are you really?"-

Zera froze upon hearing that, then answered nervously. -"I-I don't know w-what you're talking about"-

-"Do you really think I didn't notice?"- Naruto looked at her seriously. -"I know that only Mavis and I are the only ones who can see you"-

Naruto didn't believe it at first; but seeing the signs, like the way the boys looked at him when he talked to Zera or that they never talked to her.

Zera, hearing what Naruto said, walked over to the lakeside and sat down. Naruto also walked over and sat down next to her.

The two remained in awkward silence, which was later broken by Zera.

She lowered her head sadly. -"I'm an illusion..."-

Naruto opened his eyes upon hearing that. -"Wh-What?"-

-"As you heard; I'm an illusion"- Zera said sadly. -"A product of Mavis' magic"-

-"But how?"- Naruto asked confused. -"Mavis seems to see you as if you were real"-

-"Years ago, the real Zera died on Tenrou Island. She was Mavis' only friend"- Zera explained sadly. -"And by losing her, it caused her to unconsciously create me with her [Illusion Magic]"-

Naruto remained silent, then looked into nothingness and spoke.

-"You are not an illusion..."-

Zera raised her head in surprise.

-"I can see that. If you were an illusion, you would be nothing and feel nothing. But you have emotions; you feel sadness, happiness, worry, and that wouldn't make an illusion."-

When Zera looked at Naruto, she could see that he was smiling at her. -"You're not fake, Zera; you're completely real, or at least you are to me and Mavis."-

Upon hearing that, Zera began to cry; but her tears were quickly wiped away by Naruto.

-"Zera, Naruto."- Mavis spoke, appearing on the spot. -"There they are!"-

-"I'll leave them alone."- Naruto whispered to Zera, then stood up and grabbed the fish he caught. Then he smiled at Mavis. -"I'll take this to camp."-

And so Naruto left them alone and headed to camp.

After three days of walking, the group finally reached their destination.

-"We can finally see it"- Warrod said, as he looked at the city. -"That's Magnolia"-

Yuri was surprised. -"Whoa!"-

Mavis became serious. -"We've arrived!"-

-"So this is where the guild that stole Tenrou's Jade is"- Zera said. -"Blue Skull, huh?"-

Precht looked at the city seriously. -"Our first priority is information gathering"-

-(I have a bad feeling)-

Naruto thought with a frown, as they reached the city gates.

Mavis became excited as she entered the city. -"I want to see the Kardia Cathedral!"-

Zera smiled. -"I've heard it's like a big church, right?"-

-"The Kardi Cathedral is one of the three great churches,"- Precht began to explain. -"A long time ago, the Holy Angel Mikardi-"-

-"H-Hey,"- Yuri interrupted him, surprised. -"Over there..."-

As they entered the city, the group gasped as they entered the destroyed city and the giant skeleton of a Dragon on top of the Kardia Cathedral.

-"What the hell is that...?"-

Yuri asked in shock at seeing the giant skeleton of a Dragon.

Mavis was shocked. -"Blue Skulles is a Dragon."-

Warrod was also surprised. -"A blue skeleton Dragon on top of the Church..."-

-"And the city..."- Precht looked at the destroyed city seriously. -"This wasn't done recently."-

Yuri looked around. -"Why do people still live here?"-

-"Blue bones..."- Mavis muttered. -"'Blue Skull'"-

-"Travelers!"-

Then someone screamed. When the group looked where the voice came from, they could see another old man approaching them.

-"There's nothing in this city..."- The old man told them seriously. -"Leave while you can"-

-"We can tell you that yes"- Yuri told him. -"But this is where we're supposed to be"-

-"Old man..."- Precht looked at him seriously. -"What happened to this place...?"-

The old man put on a gloomy look. -"The city is dying..."-

As the old man spoke, Naruto realized something.

-(We're not alone...)-

Naruto thought seriously, as he prepared himself for any catastrophe that could happen.

Mavis was shocked by what the old man said. -"Is the city dying?"-

-"No..."- The old man denied it. -"I guess it's already dead, huh...?"-

Naruto suddenly had a vision of the future thanks to [Kenbunshoku Haki].

As the old man was speaking, suddenly a bullet of light pierces his body and he falls to the ground lifeless.

Naruto opened his eyes in shock, then quickly acted.

As the old man continued to speak, Naruto appeared behind him and received the bullet of light with his hands wrapped in [Busoshoku Haki].

The group was surprised to witness the scene.

Naruto became serious. -"Looks like we have company."-

-"Oi, why are you butting in!"-

A Blue Skull mage shouted standing on the roof of a house with three other mages.

Naruto looked at the old man. -"If I were you, I would run."-

The old man didn't waste any time; he ran and hid inside a house.

Then the wizards rushed at the group. One tried to attack Mavis with another bullet of light; but Yuri was faster and managed to save her.

The treasure hunters decided to fight, while Zera was paralyzed by fear.

Yuri quickly defeated her opponent by throwing a Crystal Bomb at him. Precht quickly defeated his opponent with his chain blades. And Warrod defeated another with sheer brute force.

-"Heh"- Yuri mocked. -"You still call yourselves wizards?"-

But then they noticed an even larger group of them coming to the place as reinforcement.

-"Leave this to me!"-

Mavis spoke seriously as she stood in front of everything. She then raised her arms above her head as a glow covered her, then created an illusion of an entire army of knights armed with swords and shields with an insignia formed by wings.

-"What is that!?"-

A wizard shouted in shock.

The army provoked fear in their rivals and surprised their companions.

-"I need to talk to your master"- Mavis told them seriously. -"Could you please call him out?"-

-"There's no need for that"-

A voice spoke from behind the wizards, and then a man appeared in front of the group of wizards and in front of Mavis. He is an old man, with a long pointed nose and a blue skull painted on his face. He has dark blue glasses that cover his eyes and his hair is purple. He wears a kind of cape decorated with skulls, revealing a purple shirt, and carries a staff in his hand.

A wizard was surprised by the man's presence. -"Master Geoffrey!"-

-"What's all this fuss about?"-

Geoffrey asked as he looked at Mavis and the army in front of him.

Mavis looked at Geoffrey seriously. -"You stole something precious from Tenrou Island seven years ago... And now we have come to ask you to return it, the Tenrou Jade"-

Geoffrey just listened to everything in silence.

Naruto, who was behind, had a vision of the future again.

With a wave of his hand, Geoffrey makes Mavis' army disappear, causing the Blue Skull mages to attack again, severely injuring Yuri and Precht. Meanwhile, Mavis watches the scene with tears in her eyes.

....

Naruto looked down somberly. For some reason, seeing Mavis cry made him angry.

Then, in a burst of smoke, a brush appeared in his right hand. Then, while no one was looking, he began to quickly paint on the ground; with the ink produced with the [Fude Fude No Mi].

-"What happens if I refuse?"-

Geoffrey calmly asked in the face of Mavis' threat.

-"I will send these troops to you..."-

-"Those troops?"- Geoffrey asked calmly. -"Hmm?"-

Mavis was silent as she began to sweat.

-"Do it"-

Geoffrey said disinterestedly to Mavis.

A Blue Skull Wizard was surprised. -"But... But, that number..."-

-"Those are fake"-

Geoffrey told him with a smile.

Mavis' eyes widened in shock upon hearing that.

Then, with a wave of his hand, Geoffrey made Mavis' army disappear.

The Magi, seeing that, became much more encouraged and attacked again.

Yuri became nervous. -"This is bad"-

-"Stay back!"-

Precht shouted at everyone; but suddenly, came Naruto's sudden shout.

-"[Paramecia: Inku-Gun]!"-

From the ground, in front of Naruto, a large army of medieval knights with swords and shields rose. To everyone's surprise, the knights charged towards the Blue Skull Magi.

-"Calm down"- Geoffrey told him calmly. -"They must also be fake"-

Then he tried to make the army disappear again; but to his surprise it didn't happen, and he quickly covered himself with his staff to protect himself from a knight's sword.

-"Hurry, we have to go!"-

Naruto shouted, then started running with Yuri, Precht and Warrod. He could easily defeat the Mages; but he couldn't risk the others getting hurt.

-"Mavis!"- Zera shouted, while dragging the surprised Mavis. -"Don't just stand there, we have to run away!"-

The group managed to escape the city while the knights distracted the Mages.

In the Western Magnolia Forest, the group was sitting on the ground with a defeated expression.

Warrod looked at his companions. -"Let's rest here for the night."-

-"Okay."-

Yuri accepted, while Precht just nodded.

-"I'm going to... I'm going to get some water."-

Mavis told them, as she stood up and walked away from the group.

Zera looked at her with concern. -"Mavis..."-

Naruto quickly stood up and followed Mavis.

Mavis was only halfway to the lake.

-"It's not your fault what happened there"-

She then stopped when she heard Naruto's voice behind her.

-"How are you so sure?"-

Mavis asked him, then looked at him with tears in her eyes and without that beautiful smile that characterized her.

-"Our enemy was an entire guild of Mages"- Naruto said seriously. -"Anything would have happened"-

-"B-But it's all my fault"- Mavis said with tears threatening to come out as she tightly squeezed the hem of her dress. -"Due to my miscalculations, we almost died there"-

-"You're right; we almost died there"- Naruto said. -"But not because of you; you just wanted to help"-

-"B-But I failed"- Mavis said crying. -"I-I used magic; but it was completely useless"-

But then she was surprised to be hugged by Naruto. -"Yes, you failed; but you tried and almost risked your life, and that's what counts"- He smiled at her. -"And I'm sure the others think the same"-

Mavis just cried into Naruto's chest, releasing all her sadness into him.

She cried for a few minutes, without moving away from Naruto's embrace; then she calmed down.

Naruto smiled at her. -"Better?"-

Mavis pulled her face out of Naruto's chest, to look directly at him with her beautiful smile and a little blush.

-"Yes. Thank you, Naruto"-

-"Good, because I already have an idea to solve our problem"- Naruto said with a smile, causing Mavis to look at him confused. -"Let's go"-

The two quickly went with the others.

....

-"I know what we have to do"-

Naruto told everyone, when he and Mavis arrived.

Warrod looked at him confused. -"What do you mean?"-

The others were also curious.

-"Well, let's be honest"- Naruto said. -"We can't beat them..."-

Yuri looked at him expressionlessly. -"Thanks for reminding us"-

-"Let me finish"- Naruto told him with a smile. -"We won't be able to; not until I teach them Magic"-

Everyone was surprised to hear that.

-"Wait!"- Precht suddenly shouted. -"Are you saying that you will teach us how to use Magic?"-

-"Yes"- Naruto nodded with a smile. -"It won't be easy; but it will be possible"-

-"And what exactly will you teach us?"-

Warrod couldn't help but ask.

Naruto just smiled, then made a scroll appear in a smoke bomb; which he then opened, so that hundreds and hundreds of books appeared in the surroundings.

Everyone was surprised by the sudden appearance of the books; except Mavis, who looked at the books with stars in her eyes.

Naruto smiled at them. -"Choose one and I will teach you"-

They didn't waste time and quickly chose a book each.

Yuri chose [Lightning Magic], Warrod chose [Green Magic], Precht chose [Magic Bullet Magic], and Zera chose [Fire Magic].

While Mavis chose one that worried Naruto greatly.

The [Black Arts]…

Spells that come with equally risky effects if performed incorrectly or in their incomplete state. Naruto had no problem using those kinds of spells; but Mavis was another story.

But in the end Naruto decided to teach Mavis a spell and help her improve her [Illusion Magic].

After a few days of training, everyone was able to use the Magics they chose. And now they were preparing to return to Magnolia.

But Naruto had other plans…

-"Guys, I won't be able to participate this time."-

Everyone was shocked to hear that.

-"What!?"- Warrod was shocked. -"Are you leaving!?"-

Yuri got angry. -"Are you leaving us alone!?"-

-"I'm sorry; but I also have important work to do and people to take care of"-

Naruto told him seriously, while remembering Yōsogakure No Sato. He had been away for many days already, and he couldn't risk anything happening.

-"I see"- Precht said. -"I understand"-

He was very grateful to Naruto; after all, thanks to him he learned Magic and became stronger.

-"I understand too"- Warrod said, also very grateful to Naruto for teaching him Magic. -"Maybe this was never your problem from the beginning"-

-"Fine, whatever!"-

Yuri said angrily; although he was also very grateful to Naruto, although he didn't show it now.

Naruto laughed nervously at Yuri's reaction, then watched as Mavis approached him wearing a beautiful black and white dress and with her hair styled in two twin pigtails.

Mavis just smiled at Naruto, then stood on her tiptoes and did something that surprised everyone.

Kissing Naruto awkwardly on the lips…

The kiss only lasted a few seconds, leaving a smiling and blushing Mavis, and a surprised Naruto.

The others were with their mouths open in shock.

-"That was to thank you for teaching me that spell"- Mavis told him with a smile. -"And maybe there will be more in the future"-

She gave him a wink, then walked away.

Naruto remained paralyzed, then was woken up by someone pulling at his clothes; to see a very blushing Zera.

And Naruto was surprised again. Zera stood on her tiptoes and kissed him awkwardly on the mouth, then ran away embarrassed.

Naruto just stood there with his eyes open, then turned around and headed towards the forest with only one thought.

-(What just happened…?)-

After walking for a while and not seeing anyone around him, he stopped and activated his [Rinne-Sharingan] to create a portal, to return to his office in Yōsogakure No Sato. Without ever finding out that all this time he was in another world.

Although he would find out years later, causing him to travel to that world again.

Only to learn that something bad had happened to his cute Fairy Strategist…
