Immortal of the Ages

Chapter 840: Young Dragon Lord and Shen Nanyin

"Come on, let's go." Yun Xiao glanced over and saw two giant beast-like figures coming over from the Field of Shattered Starlight.

He and Feng Yao shared a smile. Slipping away to the left and right, they exited the brilliance and merged into the bustling crowds of Heavenly Deity Star Street, vanishing with a casual wave.

It was similar to a wandering Immortal, vanquishing evil every step with wine in hand, hiding both glory and name.

No sooner had Yun Xiao and Feng Yao disappeared than two figures suddenly emerged from the blinding radiance.

They were human shapes, yet they felt towering and immense, particularly the figure on the left.

He was a man clad in a black and gold dragon robe, the black fabric embroidered with golden dragons. His imperial presence dominated the entire scene.

He stood a full ten feet tall—a height equal to a one-story building. An ordinary man's head would only reach his waist, appearing as a child in his eyes.

Most striking was his mane of pure golden curls, crowned by a pair of golden dragon horns that soared upward, seeming to prop up the sky.

His nose was straight as a blade, and his cold, steely eyes bore down with immense pressure.

Compared to him, Long Qinyang—though extraordinary among the black dragon youths—was but a foot soldier, his aura crushed to dust under this man's divine might.

Beside the golden dragon man stood a woman of the Dragon Devil Clan.

Amazingly, she was nine feet tall, surpassing even the Great Mother in height. She too had golden hair and dragon horns. Her platinum celestial armor accentuated her fiery figure; her breastplate pushed up high, nearly bursting.

Though towering, her face was delicate and beautiful, radiating a noble and sacred aura—a goddess riding into battle.

Her vital energy surged like a giant beast standing upright.

The pair—one ten feet, the other nine—made a striking couple. The man was burly, and the woman was all curves. Yet their expressions were icy cold as they arrived, especially the golden ten-foot dragon man.

He cast his cold gaze around, sniffed the air, and in a deep voice that rumbled like a dragon, said, "I smell a burnt corpse. Long Qinyang has been killed."

"Young Dragon Lord, who would dare commit murder so brazenly on Heavenly Deity Star Street?" The nine-foot golden goddess' voice didn't match her heroic bearing—it was soft and sweet, like a little girl's, a stark contrast.

She lowered her head when she spoke to him, her voice tinged with submission and fear, a hint of insecurity.

The young man known as the Young Dragon Lord gave a cold smile. In his hand appeared a complex flying talisman, capable of projecting clear images. Within its light, Yun Xiao and the War Princess were clearly seen strolling through the Southern Divine Dragon Cellar.

"Killing to silence witnesses… they're anxious and flustered." The Young Dragon Lord smirked, his eyes gazing into the distance like a hunter watching panicked prey flee. "I'm going to see Father. You return to the Sun-Moon Star Tower."

Hearing this, the nine-foot-tall woman bit her lip and meekly said, "Young Dragon Lord, the genius disciples from the top ten of the Heavenly Deity Alliance are preparing to congratulate you. Perhaps I should go find Father..."

Before she could finish, a massive slap landed fiercely on her face.

SMACK! A crimson handprint appeared on her cheek—the one who struck her was none other than the Young Dragon Lord.

He glanced at her coldly and said, "Shen Nanyin, how many times have I told you? When I speak, you just wag your tail. Don't offer so many opinions."

"Yes... yes..." The golden-horned woman named Shen Nanyin was terrified, hastily covering her face as tears streamed down. Yet, she was clearly accustomed to such abuse. Wiping away her tears, she stopped crying, applied medicine to herself, and bowed before heading toward the Sun-Moon Star Tower.

She hailed from a noble lineage, with pure blood and considerable talent, even the rightful wife of the Young Dragon Lord. But it was of no use; the Southern Divine Dragon Realm belonged to the male Dragon Devil Clan. Men held supreme status, and women, regardless of their background, were often treated as private possessions, subject to the whims and abuses of their husbands.

Of course, other men couldn't behave this way toward her—that was a taboo in the Southern Divine Dragon Realm. Of course, that was unless the difference in status between two men was immense.

"Supreme Yin Cauldron..." As Shen Nanyin departed, the Young Dragon Lord gazed at the image of the blood-horned devil girl in the flying talisman. His eyes shone like blazing suns, consumed by greed, utterly unmasked and needing no concealment.

Within the Dragon Devil Clan's bloodline lay an instinctive craving for such a Supreme Yin Cauldron. Like a famished beast encountering fresh meat, they could smell that maddening scent from afar.

He had already caught the scent in the air. His eyes were bloodshot; even though she was no longer present, the aroma that stirred his very blood made his wicked desires rise. He glared around, searching for her presence.

"From tonight onward, every man in my Southern Divine Dragon Realm will go mad!" The Young Dragon Lord laughed wildly, clutching the flying talisman, and vanished into the starlight.

Even though the message had been sent to the elders, as the bearer of such news, he had to personally claim credit and witness this moment that would drive the entire clan insane.

"Damn, I bet those old geezers with one foot in the grave will spring up to relive their glory days when they hear this good news!" The Young Dragon Lord was flushed all over, less like a dragon and more like an excited hyena, howling madly.

Even though the scent had faded, he knew how powerful the Southern Divine Dragon Realm was. If their clan was willing to give everything to hunt down a young Yin Devil girl, where on earth could she hide?

First and foremost, they'd lock down the Heavenly Deity Stellar Formation.

"Disgusting. Truly disgusting. How can a clan be so revolting?" Feng Yao muttered.

She recalled the moment they had forced information out of that Dragon Devil clansman sent to shadow them. She was still fuming. Though nothing had happened yet, just the thought of being chased by a pack of rabid dogs trying to pin her down was sickening enough.

"Maybe it's destiny," Yun Xiao said. "Because of your special physique, you met me. And by sheer chance, you cultivated the Mortal Dust Blood Calamity, which awakened this aspect of your nature."

"Stop analyzing! I don't want to hear it," Feng Yao huffed.

"Then what do you want, ma'am?" Yun Xiao asked.

"I want you to kill them all!" she growled through clenched teeth.

"Ahem, heaven cherishes all life..."

"Kill!"

Seeing her flushed with anger, barely able to breathe, Yun Xiao could only hold his forehead. "Don't worry. Those who covet my woman will never meet a good end."

"Aren't I just your maid? Have I been promoted?" Feng Yao suddenly lightened up, stealing a sly glance at him.

"A maid is still a woman," Yun Xiao replied.

"Humph." With his assurance, Feng Yao felt at ease. She knew this domineering guy would never abandon her.

But she also understood that the Southern Divine Dragon Realm—a force as formidable as the entire Extreme Yin Celestial Realm—wouldn't be easy to deal with.

She frowned and asked, "We acted too late. Now this has probably spread to the Southern Divine Dragon Realm. What should we do?"
