Chapter 1327: Return to Resurrection Island
Arcanine only just realized that Yuga was back. Seeing Yuga, it hadn't even had time to express its surprise when it suddenly heard these words. For a moment, it didn't understand what Yuga meant.
"Arcanine~"
Go back home?
Its home was far from here, and besides, hadn't Yuga just returned from there? Go back again?
Seeing Arcanine frozen in confusion, Yuga chuckled and beckoned it over. Arcanine, still puzzled, walked up to Yuga.
Trailing behind Arcanine were its son and daughter-in-law. Seeing their father head toward Yuga, the two quickly followed suit.
"Watch closely now."
Yuga said, then opened the system interface to claim the additional task rewards from the system. Suddenly, in the main Ecopark, a shimmering blue portal appeared, looking almost identical to the gates leading to the Sub-Ecopark. The only difference was that while the Sub-Ecopark gates were white, this one was a vibrant blue.
Seeing this miraculous sight, Arcanine and its family of three gaped in astonishment.
Could it be that this portal could lead them back home? The clever Arcanine immediately grasped the crucial detail.
"So, how about it? Want to go back and take a look?" Yuga asked Arcanine with a smile.
Arcanine nodded eagerly. It would be nice to go back and visit. It had been a long time since it had last been home. Who knew what the place had turned into? Now that it thought about it, it felt nostalgic for the thrilling life it used to have.
"Then let's go!" Yuga said as he stepped through the portal, disappearing instantly, with Audino following close behind.
Without a second thought, Arcanine leaped in after them.
Arcanine's son and daughter-in-law exchanged a glance before quickly following their father into the portal.
Emerging from the portal, Yuga found himself by the dried-up lake in the territory of the Aggron clan. Shortly afterward, Audino and Arcanine's family appeared through the portal one after another.
Their sudden appearance startled the Aggron clan members who are gathered by the lake. However, the Aggron's elder brother, seeing Yuga, immediately felt a sense of relief.
Yuga had been gone for over half a month without a single word, leaving the Aggron elder unsure whether to uphold their agreement or not.
"Arcanine~"
Arcanine stepped out of the portal and looked around at its unfamiliar surroundings. This place was completely foreign. Didn't Yuga say they were going back to its home? What was this place? It barked up at Yuga in confusion.
Yuga laughed and explained, "This is the island where your home is located. But the place where you used to live is on the other side of the island, far from here. You probably haven't been to this side before."
Hearing this, Arcanine suddenly understood. Indeed, the island where its home was located was vast and perilous. With its strength back then, it couldn't traverse the entire island. There were indeed many areas it had never explored.
Arcanine's son listened intently to the conversation between Yuga and its father while curiously observing the surroundings. It hadn't expected Yuga to really bring them back to their home.
Although it had left its home a long time ago and was still young when it did, the memories of its life on the island—living primitively and surviving off the land—were still fresh in its mind.
Arcanine's daughter-in-law was even more curious. She had no knowledge of her husband and father-in-law's homeland and had seldom heard them talk about it, making her full of curiosity and a desire to explore.
Unlike Arcanine and its son, Arcanine's daughter-in-law was a Pokémon artificially bred by the Jenny family. Having always lived in the Ecopark, she had never experienced what real wilderness life was like.
While Yuga and Arcanine were talking, the Aggron's elder brother led a few high-ranking members of their group and slowly approached them. Arcanine, mistaking them for enemies, leaped in front of Yuga, lowered its body, and growled threateningly at the Aggron, warning them not to get closer.
Seeing this, Arcanine's son and daughter-in-law quickly joined their father, taking up defensive stances and issuing the same threats.
Yuga hurriedly intervened, saying, "They're not enemies, so don't worry."
Only then did Arcanine relax its guard, casting a curious glance at the Aggron before returning to Yuga with its son and daughter-in-law. Arcanine could sense that these Aggron were far stronger than itself.
Once the Aggron got closer, Yuga turned to the Aggron's elder brother and asked, "Are you still willing to honor the agreement between us?" If not, then more punishment would be in order.
The Aggron's elder brother nodded; they were committed to keeping their word.
Seeing this, Yuga said happily, "That's good." Then, he whispered a few instructions to Audino, who promptly stepped through the light gate and disappeared.
The Aggron watched the mysterious light gate, their awe for Yuga deepening. This human was extraordinary!
When Audino returned, it brought with it ten Blissey, ten Audino, and ten Wigglytuff, each carrying items in their hands. These thirty assistant Pokémon were the reward Yuga had received from the Joy family, and he intended to station them on the island to contribute to its development. The Aggron would be placed under their management in the future.
After confirming that Audino had carried out the task, Yuga addressed the Aggron: "I promised to ensure you'd be well-fed, and this is the first step in fulfilling that promise." He signaled to Audino with a glance.
Understanding the cue, Audino led the assistant Pokémon to open their spatial backpacks, unloading a massive supply of Pokeblock and precious minerals. The Aggron's elder brother's eyes widened in astonishment.
With a sweeping gesture, Yuga instructed the Aggron's elder brother, "Go and gather all your clan members. Let them have a proper meal." This was also an opportunity for the members to recognize their future managers.
Under the Aggron's elder brother's summons, all members of the Aggron clan gathered. Audino and the assistant Pokémon distributed the Pokeblock and minerals among them.
Many of the clan members had never seen Pokeblock before, and Audino had to explain for some time before they understood it was food. Once they tried it, they were completely hooked.
While the Aggron were eating, Yuga conducted a census of the clan, discovering there were 188 members in total.
Among them, there were 91 Aggron, including one at the Master level, one at the Champion level, and four at the Elite level. The Master level Aggron's elder brother had indigo aptitude, while the Champion and Elite Four levels had blue aptitude. Additionally, there were twelve other Aggron with blue aptitude.
There were 72 Lairon, including two with green aptitude and eight with blue aptitude.
The rest were Aron, numbering 25. None had blue aptitude, and only three had green aptitude.
The probability of these high potential Pokémon being born was quite high. Yuga believed that the reason was likely that they lived very close to the remains of the Ho-oh.
However, the difficulty of giving birth to newborns in the Aggron clan was greater. The mines where they resided were quite barren and could not sustain the expansion of their population, so the number of newly born Aron was small.
After finishing the census of the Aggron clan, Yuga turned to Arcanine and its family of three and said, "You can wander around for a bit, but remember to return on time and don't get too carried away!"
"Arcanine~"
Upon hearing this, Arcanine barked happily and quickly whisked its son and daughter-in-law away.
Once the Aggron finished eating, Yuga gathered them together and, following the system's instructions, cleared the area as much as possible. He was about to claim the reward for Task ②.
As the reward was claimed, a vast white light appeared before Yuga and the Aggron, blinding them so they could see nothing.
When the white light finally faded, a giant Ecopark appeared in front of Yuga. It looked like a massive structure, occupying the entire valley and extending outward into the meadow, stretching endlessly without an end in sight.
Yuga stared in shock, mouth agape. He never expected the Ecopark granted by the system to be this enormous.
Even more astonished were the Aggron. They hadn't imagined that with just a casual wave from Yuga, such a magical structure would appear.
Could this human be a god? At that moment, all the Aggron couldn't help but think to themselves.
Yuga slowly approached the Ecopark and reached out to touch it. The texture felt similar to his main Ecopark in the Verdanturf Town. According to the system, this Ecopark had strong defensive capabilities, and even Champion level Pokémon couldn't break through it.
The Ecopark was so vast that it had more than one entrance. Entering or exiting required a password, which Yuga needed to set himself, just like the one in Verdanturf Town.
However, simply having the password wasn't enough to open the door. He also needed the permission granted by the system; otherwise, access was impossible.
On Yuga's right was an entrance. He skillfully set the password and opened the door to enter.
Once inside, the first thing Yuga saw was a lush green meadow, with a climate tree standing tall at its center. It was even larger than the one in the main Ecopark in Verdanturf Town, towering with such height that its vast canopy nearly obscured the entire sky.
The roof of the Ecopark was exceptionally high, which was why it appeared to be such a massive structure from the outside. With the enormous climate tree standing there, it didn't feel crowded at all.
Thanks to the presence of this climate tree, the temperature and humidity inside the Ecopark were completely different from the outside, much more comfortable than the external environment.
Resurrection Island, being surrounded by the sea on all sides, had a high level of humidity, with the wind carrying the salty moisture of the sea, which was not suitable for some Pokémon to live in.
The area Yuga entered was located in the middle section of the entire Ecopark. After taking in the sights, he walked to his left and passed through a door into another space.
This was a lake, the very same one from the valley earlier, now incorporated into the Ecopark. The collapsed portion had been filled in by the system, and even the lake water had been replenished.
Most importantly, the Ho-oh's remains that had been beneath the ground were moved by the system and were now lying above the lake, as if they could spread their wings and fly at any moment.
The lake water was a vibrant blue, and Yuga suspected it was the same healing water from beneath the ground.
He cupped his hands to gather some water and, upon closer inspection, confirmed his suspicion.
Long live the system!
Scattered across the center of the lake were a few small islands, each with some low trees and unidentified flowers. From a distance, they looked quite picturesque.
Leaving this place, Yuga returned to the previous space with the meadow and walked to the right. This time, he entered a room filled with machinery.
This was the incubator and breeding room. Pregnant Pokémon could come here to give birth, and the eggs they laid would be placed in the incubators to speed up their hatching process.
At the same time, this room served as the monitoring center for the entire Ecopark. The computers here allowed Yuga to view every corner of the Ecopark, and even much of the area outside the Exopark was under surveillance.
In addition, there were complete and advanced medical facilities here. If a Pokémon fell ill, the assistant Pokémon could use the equipment to treat them.
Of course, the necessary medicines weren't available here, so Yuga would need to prepare them separately.
After touring this room, Yuga was internally amazed. The facilities here were far more advanced than those in the Ecopark in Verdanturf Town. No wonder it was from the system—it was truly extravagant!
Continuing to walk to the right from the main control room, Yuga entered an even larger space, at least twice the size of the previous meadow and lake spaces.
At the center of this space was a large hill with a gentle slope, covered with fruit trees of varying heights. Some were bearing fruit, while others were still in bloom.
A small path encircled the hill, leading up to the top.
Scattered around the hill at various heights were several caves, making this area perfect for Pokémon to reside in.
This small hill area was the last section of the Ecopark. After exploring it, Yuga exited.
Outside, the Aggron were still looking around. This sudden appearance of a building had occupied the entire valley, and they wondered where they would live now.
As soon as Yuga stepped out, they eagerly surrounded him.
With a wave of his hand, Yuga said, "Come on, I'll show you your new home!"
Just as they were about to enter the Ecopark, a large group of HootHoot and Noctowl suddenly flew toward them from a distance. They were the same ones that had once been attached to the Aggron clan.
It turned out that the sudden appearance of the Ecopark had taken over their homeland as well. They were here to ask the Aggron clan about the situation.
After a moment of thought, Yuga turned to the Aggron's elder brother and said, "Ask them if they're willing to work for me. I'll cover their food and lodging."
He figured that Resurrection Island would need some eyes and ears, and these clever HootHoot and Noctowl would be perfect. With them around, he'd be able to stay informed about any happenings on the island.
The Aggron's elder brother nodded, muttering something to the Noctowl leader in its own language, then turned to tell Yuga that the HootHoot and Noctowl had agreed.
In truth, this didn't even require negotiation. HootHoot and Noctowl were already under the command of the Aggron clan. With just a word from the Aggron's elder brother, how could they possibly refuse?
Moreover, Yuga was offering food and lodging—there was nothing better than that.
Since consuming the Pokeblock and minerals Yuga brought, Aggron's elder brother had firmly decided to follow Yuga without turning back, especially after witnessing a series of divine feats by Yuga.
It was about to reach the peak of its life, and of course, it wouldn't forget its past subordinates.
