I’m Planning to be Killed by the Heroine

Chapter 1 - Sickly (1)

Rummaging around.
I wonder if this will do.
Gathering shallow magic, I drew a blue outline. It’s the Gothic Lolita dress I’m about to wear.
I neatly placed some clothes and dark accessories I had brought from outside.
After setting the main frame, I levitated a suitable size of fabric to serve as the base. I intertwined threads to change and puff up the shape.
Colors blended and forms were adorned. I attached small flower decorations and ribbons.
Red magic was sprinkled and refined.
Complete.
I lifted my foot, inserted my body into the center of the dress, and zipped up the back.
Standing demurely in front of the full-length mirror, I raised my face.
“……..”
I,
I really have become a woman.
Wavy silver-white long hair with large volume reaching down to my waist.
Eyebrows that look slightly slanted, and elegantly shining blue eyes.
Snow-white skin that might even be considered pale.
Lastly, a black Gothic Lolita dress that further accentuates this atmosphere. And silver flower accessories.
Somehow, I had severe pain last night, but I never thought I’d catch such a chronic illness.
[ Aureli. ]
The small life floating around me called my name.
It’s a cute spirit with a small cloak, just a tiny soft ball that could fit in one hand if grasped tightly, with only two pairs of eyes.
[ You’re pretty. ]
“Thank you.”
Not just me, who has lived as a man for 20 years.
But you, who’ve been watching me for years, are also indifferent.
Just saying I’m pretty is the extent of your appreciation.
It would be nice if we could both be normally happy about this.
As I carefully examine my reflection in the mirror, the girl reflected in the mirror gradually starts to fade.
Is it because it’s an ordinary mirror? It seems to have difficulty even recognizing me.
With thin and delicate fingers that I could never have had when I was a man, I pointed at the bottom of the mirror and gathered strength.
With a crackling sound, the glass shattered into a hexagonal spider web pattern, and once again the mirror reflected my image.
Satisfied with this phenomenon, I nodded my head, but only for a moment.
[ Aureli. ]
“What’s wrong?”
Bloody, the red orb that had been floating around my shoulders with its head bowed for a while now.
With eyes filled only with white light, in a somewhat worried tone.
It asked me thus.
[ Were you alright last night? ]
I was fine. Of course.
[ Are you hurting anywhere? ]
You’re always so worried, Bloody.

Tick, tick.
Tick.
I’m perfectly fine.
[ ······Aureli. ]
“Today, we’re going out after a long time.”
Ignoring the cute spirit that sighed after trying to say something more, I turned my body and gracefully walked through the living room.
This dreadful house, no, perhaps it’s more correct to call it an underground base.
It’s been over a year since I properly went out from this place.
It’s about time I got some fresh air.
Above all.
I need blood.
The amount I’ve been comfortably drinking for a while has hit rock bottom.
I walked out of the spacious living room, through a long corridor, and into the entrance hall. I got on the elevator with iron doors right in front of me.
Even though I’m the only one living here, I tried to make it look luxurious with soft bulb lighting and purple leather design.
Standing still in the elevator humming as it rises to the ground, I suddenly wondered if my oral structure had changed along with my body transformation.
“Mmph.”
Forcibly parting my trembling lips, I stuck my index finger into my mouth and felt my fangs, which I hadn’t checked in front of the mirror.
With a popping sound, I felt the sharp sensation through my hand.
That’s a relief.
I can’t do without these.
They’re my identity.
[ It’s not like you use those teeth to suck blood though. ]
“You’re right, Bloody.”
But they look cool.
Now that I’ve transformed into the image of a girl with an atmosphere, isn’t it good to have some small stylish elements?
Even though I know what I’m about to do isn’t cool at all.
The elevator reached the ground floor and I emerged from what looked like an ordinary small house.
Away from the bustling city center, in a quiet outskirt, and in one corner of that, a house quietly standing its ground.
There couldn’t have been a better place to lie low for a year after being active and spreading my wings.
I’ve occasionally gone quietly to the city to quickly obtain blood and handle business, but now that even the last reserves of the blood pouches I had saved up have run out, I’ve reached a point where I can’t help but resume activities.
I need to move my body a bit, if only to get used to the strength and agility of this girlish body.
“Please.”
At my words, Bloody silently nodded its head and fluttered its cloak, emitting a faint light.
The air rippled and red viscous dots appeared in the air, then connected to each other to create an oval-shaped magic circle.
This is the process of searching for awakened ones nearby.
Their blood is of good quality.
I half-rolled up the sleeve of my right arm that covered up to my wrist and took out a small knife from my pocket.
───Puk, skak –
Blood splattered from the wound on my arm, drawn with restrained skill. The droplets of blood coalesced to form a single red orb. As soon as the orb was fitted into the hole at the center of the magic circle, with a slight noise, a faint energy spread out like lightning.
“What’s the range?”
[ About 1km radius. ]
I nodded at Bloody’s words. Using more blood could widen the measurement range, but there’s no need for that when I’m just starting activities again. Moreover, my precious blood is too valuable.
By the way, what’s this foreign sensation in my hand?
Oh.
The knife was in my hand.
This isn’t right, already.
I hastily put away the knife and squared my shoulders.
[ Two····, no, three. They’re quite close. ]
I know, Bloody.
But it doesn’t matter.
For a hunter slaughtering prey, the only concern is taste.
The fragments and pieces of emotion they emit.
Sadness, despair, fear, self-pity.
And,
Resignation.
Right?
“It’s a young one?”
“Wow, what’s this. Pretty? We could kidnap her and use her as a cum dumpster.”
How thrilling would the screams of weak life begging for mercy be?
How addictive would the hot and stimulating pleasure that soaks the entire body be?
I observe all of them, further solidifying my existence.
By killing them.
“Ah, ugh. Stop, stop.”
My name is Seo Han-gyeol.
My name is Seo Han-gyeol.
I repeat again. If it’s not enough, let’s recite it out loud.
I absolutely don’t want to kill.
It’s just that I’m sacrificing my sane mind to suppress my body that’s boiling over uncontrollably.
That’s what it is, right? Tell me it is.
“The association will be barging in soon, let’s get out of here.”
“Who cares~ How long does it take to catch one kid.”
Voices.
Tinnitus pierces and presses on my ears. A dizziness that could make me lose consciousness pricks my cerebrum.
My body craves pleasure and feels ecstasy at altering the fate of this wretched life right in front of me.
My sickly mind is trampled and repeats ordinary actions.
My vision turns red and my whole body craves blood. The trembling knife was somehow in my hand.
Let’s butcher their skin and soak my entire body in their blood.
Hurry.
“Little one, just pass out for a bit~ When you wake up, I’ll show you something good~”
I caught sight of a black club being swung in my vision.
Gripping the knife, I raised my arm.
───Slash.
With a moment of silence.
Uproar floods in.
“Aaaarghhhh!!!”
“F-fuck, what the hell?!”
“My arm!! My arm!!”
Brilliantly shining red liquid filled the air hazily. The nostalgic scent made my whole body heat up.
My reddened vision cleared and became vivid.
“Haah····.”
I feel like I could.
I feel like I could fly away at any moment.
[ Sigh····. ]
What’s wrong, Bloody?
You like it too, don’t you?
You can’t live without these thrilling screams either.
“It hurts!!! It hurts!!! I said it hurts!!”
“F-fuck!”
The pitiful flesh rolling on the ground, wailing with one arm cut off.
And in an instant, the second man, riddled with all sorts of dark emotions.
Bewilderment. Sadness. Denial. Resentment.
All of these combined make me feel elated.
I feel like I’m going to go crazy.
“H-How could an arm with just one knife·····.”
“Fuck!! Fuck!! It hurts!! I said it hurts!!”
Amidst the blood gushing like a fountain, I saw trembling eyes.
What are you going to do?
Will you abandon your companion who committed a foolish act and run away, calling it his fate?
Or,
Will you face the same fate in the name of misplaced comradeship?
“D-Damn it!”
Blue lightning flashed, aiming for my body.
Smiling slightly, I swung my arm.
As I slashed my chest with the knife, the blood clots that spurted out like exhaled breath coalesced into sharp red sickles.
I spun my body once and swung the sickle.
The lightning bolts were torn and split.
The man faltered.
The sickle shattered and filled the air with viscous droplets.
I stretched my hand forward and twisted my wrist. The blood scattered in the air gathered again to form the mouth and teeth of a giant monster. Roots emerging from it wrapped around and fixed to my wrist.
I clenched my hand slightly.
The mouth lunged forward, swallowing numerous magic circles in the air.
“Fuck!! What, what is that!!”
Are you running away?
Everyone.
Everyone’s the same.
This person, that person.
They’re all so quick to run away when they see me.
───Kwadeuk! Kkwak! Kwak!
“Aaaaargh!!”
Weak.
Without even thinking of resisting, they’re just dragged along by the pain.
A daily life no different from a year ago.
They and I, we’re all the same.
───Kwak! Chew chew, keok!
The sound of bones being crushed, the pungent appearance and scent, the red fountain gushing out.
[ Aureli. I’ll say it again, but it’s three people a day. ]
I know.
You don’t have to emphasize it so much, I’ll keep to it.
Three people a day, what you and I decided.
It’s the standard that shows I haven’t given up on being human.
“Heheh····. Hihi····.”
So I’m fine.
I haven’t lost my sanity.
Really.
“Eck, urgh, ugh.”
The one-armed man who had been half-unconscious on the ground was also devoured, and silence returned once again.
I had held back well for a long time, but with just the voices of a few people, I’ve become a crazy bitch.
Look at this, this garbage-like mind.
Becoming extremely calm right after killing people, making me afraid that something might be going wrong.
How will you ever let me go?
My mind, already eroded by desires beyond my will, was gnawed away and didn’t answer.
Separately from that, to maintain my sanity for a while, I had to collect my precious blood.
I lightly waved my hand to scrape up the blood scattered on the floor. I compressed the large red orb that formed into an ultra-high-density sphere.
I took out a small beaker from my bosom, put it in, and turned my head again.
“P-Please spare me····. Please spare me····.”
A man spitting blood after being hit a couple of times on the head with a club.
I was worried you might have run away, but fortunately, you didn’t have the strength to.
You wouldn’t have gotten far in that state anyway.
I’ll make you comfortable soon.
With you, it’ll be three.
“Hee, heek!”
I raised the knife, now bright red with blood.
───Shweek!
“───Stop!!”
At the sudden voice, I unconsciously stopped my arm and turned my head.
A girl, gray short hair, a sword, a cold aura.
And.
The memory of the past reeking of rot.
“I’m a hunter from the association. Drop your weapon immediately and step back.”
The girl’s sharp voice resonated in my brain.
Along with her eyes quickly scanning the surroundings, her black uniform bore the nauseating mark of the association.
A long sword was pointed at me.
“As of this moment, you’re under arrest on charges of murder and attempted murder. If you resist, you will be shot immediately.”
