I'm Not Interested in Devil Fruits

Chapter 22: INIIDF-Chapter 22 Mystical Beings

"Are you planning to go out?" Robin finished washing and tidying up the dishes, intending to read for a while when she saw Liam approaching.

"Yeah, found something interesting." Liam nodded. "Come along. But..."

He winked at the air behind him.

"Appear!" Robin saw the door of a nearby room open, and a few items floated in the air towards them – a set of hair dye and a comb, landing in Liam's hands.

It was Liam's Knight Stand. Robin remained calm; her resistance to supernatural scenes had strengthened considerably by this point.

"It seems to belong to the original owner of this house. Not sure if it's still usable." Liam weighed a few slightly outdated hair dyes and suggested, "Come on, want to give it a try?"

A question mark appeared above Robin's head.

She touched her head; although her hair had grown a bit, it was far from long enough to dye.

Unexpectedly, in the next moment, Liam waved his hand, and immediately above Robin's short hair, lush black hair sprouted out with a faint familiar floral fragrance, making Robin realize what had happened.

"Hair too?" She was startled. This boy seemed to be refining the operations of the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) to a more sophisticated level.

"Why not?" Liam replied.

In the manga, after 3D2Y, Robin could use the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) to bloom her upper body on others or on the ground – even a fully functional clone that could move, talk, and gather or extract information!

A complete clone included more than just hair – it even included clothes!

Post- 3D2Y Robin likely had already touched upon the Awakening aspect of the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi)...

Excited to try, Liam pressed Robin in front of the mirror, enthusiastically applying strands of silver-white hair dye that sprouted from his own head using the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi).

The dye spread, enveloping the not-so-long mid-length hair. Liam laughed, "Haha, Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) generated 'appendages,' the senses are shared between them and the Ability user.

If a hand created by the ability is cut off, the user will feel the pain! However, hair, after all, doesn't have a sense of touch! In the future, you might be able to use the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) to grow a massive amount of hair for battle. If it's cut or burned, there won't be any loss."

He continued, kneading the hair dye on Robin's head, unafraid of messing with it, knowing it was hair created by the ability.

"By then, will people call you the magician with white hair?"

"..." Robin sat quietly while letting him fiddle.

She looked at herself in the mirror, feeling a bit strange. What about the future?

After tinkering for more than half an hour, creating a simple hairstyle, and changing into an outfit for going out, Liam and Robin both looked at the girl in the mirror.

Silver hair, a charmingly cute face with a hint of coolness and silence.

Wearing a men's style shirt, long pants, and sneakers, with an outer short jacket over a long-sleeved denim shirt.

Liam commented, "Pirate King: Transformation."

Robin:?

"A bit of that Haibara Ai flavor, actually more like Nico Robin." Liam laughed, then sighed, "It's a pity you can't see Hei Xiao. Otherwise, I might let you watch 'Detroit: Become Human' and 'Detective Conan.'"

'B.I.B.' perfectly "copied" the original, so it could replay memories, game strategies, videos, and any manga the original had seen.

Robin didn't know what to say; this boy sometimes said things she couldn't understand at all.

Unfortunately, Robin couldn't see 'B.I.B.'; she couldn't even see the green Den Den Mushi...

Thinking this, Liam casually gave Robin a facial disguise, blooming chunks of "flesh"... He reached out, and the ghostly black armor handed him a large windbreaker.

"Let's go!"

With a rustling sound, Liam put on the windbreaker, and a tide-like sea of flowers surged from his feet, enveloping his entire body, and making him appear more than twice his size. After putting on the windbreaker, he looked like an ordinary adult man.

Robin thought to herself, "He's become even more proficient with the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi)! But..."

Even though he exercises every day, Robin has never seen him practice his Devil Fruit ability.

Moreover, unlike when he snatched the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) back then, Liam seemed not to care much about it. All along, whether it was giving her disguises or the recent hair dyeing, it all seemed like a ridiculous misconception... intentionally demonstrated to her?

Robin didn't have time to think about it, quickly following along.

The pitch-black armor had been accompanying Liam since long ago, hovering around him.

...

Instead of heading directly to the forest outside the city, Liam first went to Business Street in the city and checked the shops but found none selling Den Den Mushi feed.

After inquiring, Liam found out that Den Den Mushi, these creatures, were not picky eaters; they could eat almost anything, but specialized feed provided more comprehensive nutrition.

Moreover, Den Den Mushi had a very gentle temperament; they didn't mind being captured by humans because it meant a stable source of food.

Liam casually picked two types of feed and also purchased a Den Den Mushi receiver device, stuffing them into the pockets of his windbreaker. He then took Robin directly outside the city.

On the way, they encountered Marines.

Robin couldn't help but feel nervous, walking closely by Liam's windbreaker.

Liam remained calm. Even after Robin transformed like this, she could still be recognized. If she were recognized, he would eat 'B.I.B.' on the spot!

He himself had transformed as if he had undergone a rebirth, appearing at least ten years older. At a glance, transforming from a ten-year-old to a thirty-year-old was not a problem.

Calmly passing by Marine soldiers, Liam, with Robin in tow, headed towards the forest where the green Den Den Mushi had been spotted by 'B.I.B.'

Liam was very curious about the creature his Stand 'B.I.B.' had detected.

Robin had no idea what he was up to when leaving the city.

Upon entering the woods, Liam communicated with the invisible knight Stand next to him— Robin couldn't see it. After that, he led her around the forest.

"It seems like he's looking for something," Robin speculated.

Was he looking for a specific flower?

In recent days, Liam's various actions had opened up Robin's thinking. She wondered if Liam intended to further develop the Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi), perhaps growing different varieties of flowers.

Did he want to grow flowers with poisonous pollen? In that case, using an arm made up of toxic flowers on an enemy, with a gentle sweep, could release lethal pollen and neutralize the enemy...

While Robin let her imagination run wild, she suddenly bumped her head into Liam, who had stopped.

"So, it's here!"

Turning her head, Robin noticed that Liam was staring at a branch of a certain tree.

Upon closer inspection, there seemed to be something green on the branch.

Oh, it was a wild Den Den Mushi.

That made sense, considering Liam had bought the feed and the receiver device earlier.

Liam looked up at the green Den Den Mushi on the branch and chuckled, "No need to hide, little thing. I'm watching you."

The green Den Den Mushi on the branch stiffened for a moment. Suddenly, under Liam's gaze, its green body changed color, slowly revealing a layer of brown that seamlessly merged with the tree branch beneath it.

Darn it! Liam was astonished. Was this a Den Den Mushi or a color-changing dragon?
