I'm living like a cockroach in the doomsday

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: D2-Type Zombies

Zhang Xiaoqiang was cursing the backpack while desperately kicking the body of the bus. The S-type zombies were almost upon him. In a fit of desperation, he kicked hard on the window edge of the bus and managed to flip onto the roof with that bit of force. Just as he pulled his legs back, he heard a loud bang and the bus shook.

Zhang Xiaoqiang turned his head and looked down. An S-type zombie was lying on the ground. It seemed that it was this zombie that had just crashed into the bus.

The zombies under the bus were packed tightly, just like sardines in a can. Zhang Xiaoqiang was eating instant noodles while looking through his binoculars at the place where the D-type zombie had come out just now. He saw that on the central electronic screen, a piece of information was still scrolling.

"Grand Opening Promotion of 'Blue Sky Internet Cafe'. From now on, everything is half price. Welcome everyone!"

Damn it! So this was a large internet cafe with a usable area covering three floors. On the second floor, facing the street, all the glass had been smashed, leaving only pitch-black windows.

Zhang Xiaoqiang cursed. Why did it have to open at that time? It opened right when the virus broke out. No wonder hundreds of zombies had come out.

The D-type zombie was walking around the bus, allowing Zhang Xiaoqiang to take a closer look at its appearance. It was over two meters tall, much taller than other D-type zombies. Other zombies didn't dare to get close to it. Its skin was like newly unearthed bronze ware, slightly black and thick, with a faint metallic texture. Its muscles were almost as big as those of the Terminator. The blue veins on its muscles were intertwined like branches. When it walked, one could even feel the bus shaking slightly.

"Could it be the so-called D2-type zombie? I just don't know how many people it had eaten to evolve like this."

Zhang Xiaoqiang raised his sniper crossbow and aimed at the D2-type zombie. It was too much of a threat and had to be eliminated first.

This time he used a crossbow bolt. There were only six in total to begin with, and one of the arrowheads was a bit worn. This time, the crossbow bolt was very likely not to be retrieved.

"Use your best resources where they're needed most. You can't catch a wolf without risking a lamb..."

Zhang Xiaoqiang thought to himself, calmed his mind, and put the crosshairs of the scope on the D2's head. With a pull of his finger, there was a "twang" sound and the crossbow bolt disappeared.

"Roar..."

The D2-type zombie roared wildly. There was a small cut on its forehead, and it seemed to be mocking Zhang Xiaoqiang with its gaping mouth.

"Where's the crossbow bolt?" Zhang Xiaoqiang looked around the D2 to search for it. Then he heard a thud. An ordinary D-type zombie fell to the ground. A crossbow bolt had stabbed into it from below its right ear and out through its left temple. In an instant, the dead D-type zombie was submerged by the group of zombies.

Zhang Xiaoqiang looked at the enraged D2 zombie and felt like crying but had no tears. "This is so unfair! Is its head made of armor plate that it can even send the crossbow bolt flying?!"

The sound of the crossbow bolt being shot exposed his position. The D2 rushed towards the bus. The zombies in front of it were knocked down one after another. With a clang, the bus let out a painful groan. A huge dent was smashed into the body of the bus, and the window glass shattered and fell to the ground. Zhang Xiaoqiang on the roof of the bus couldn't stand steadily due to the vibration, and the woman screamed in fright!

"Try to gain an advantage only to end up worse off!" The bus was being hit again and again, making a broken and fragmented sound. Zhang Xiaoqiang was on tenterhooks because of the vibration of the bus on the roof.

He looked around for a way to get off the roof. The bus was constantly being knocked off the ground by the D2 and then slamming back down. He clasped his hands on the air vents of the bus, going up and down with the body of the bus, just like riding on a mad bull.

The bus kept moving and gradually moved away from its original position. Many zombies were caught under the moving bus and were ground until their bones and flesh were separated.

Zhang Xiaoqiang was already desperate. "Is there still a heaven in this world?"

He looked up at the sky, wanting to see the sky one last time before dying. Unfortunately, the sky was blocked by the protective railing upstairs. "It's the end of the world. What is there to be afraid of being stolen?"

"Wait... Protective railing?" Zhang Xiaoqiang had an idea in his mind. "Maybe it'll work!"

The next moment, he untied the thin hemp rope on his backpack, threw the blanket tied to the backpack off the roof of the bus, and then tied the hemp rope to the handle of the iron hammer. The bus was constantly vibrating, and the woman was hugging him tightly. They were almost shaken off the roof several times.

"Is this what's called 'car vibration'?" He was busy with his hands while random thoughts filled his mind. "All right..."

Zhang Xiaoqiang swung the hemp rope with the hammer tied to it in circles and threw it towards the protective railing above his head.

Another tremor came from the bus. The flying iron hammer took a turn in the air and hit the S-type zombie beside the bus on the head, knocking it to the ground.

"Don't rush. There are still a few minutes before the bus falls apart." Zhang Xiaoqiang encouraged himself and threw the hammer out again.

"Clang..." The hammer hit the steel railing and then flew back towards him at a faster speed, hitting him right between his legs. Zhang Xiaoqiang reached his trembling left hand towards his crotch. After a while, he let out a long sigh.

Almost, his little guy would have been in big trouble!
