I’m Already A Great Emperor, And The System Wants Me To Be The Heroine’s Lackey?

Chapter 15 - Dominant Suppression

Jun Jiuxiao did not speak to anyone and silently enjoyed Ji Lanqing’s service.

Ji Lanqing’s hands were sore from kneading his shoulders, but she dared not stop as long as Jun Jiuxiao did not speak.

“You stay here for a while. I’m going outside to take a stroll,” Jun Jiuxiao dropped these words, got up and walked out.

Jun Jiuxiao had left intentionally. If he stayed, these people wouldn’t dare to act.

Ji Lanqing quietly remained seated in the main seat.

It wasn’t until Jun Jiuxiao had been gone for a while that the guests dared to cast unfriendly glances at Ji Lanqing.

Yet, Ji Lanqing remained serene and unaffected by their looks.

Ji Lanqing understood that Jun Jiuxiao had asked her to sit here with a purpose. She just needed to sit quietly.

Once Zhu Guangyuan was sure Jun Jiuxiao had completely left, he signaled to Li Xian to test Jun Jiuxiao’s maid.

Li Xian stood up, glaring at Ji Lanqing, and harshly demanded, “Who are you to sit in the main seat?” as if he didn’t know Ji Lanqing was Jun Jiuxiao’s maid.

The crowd fell silent, halting their actions and watching with interest.

Ji Lanqing responded calmly, “I am the maid of the Holy Son Jiuxiao.”

“What audacity! Even a maid dares to sit in the main seat. Hasn’t the Holy Son taught you any manners? Today, I’ll teach you some.” Li Xian said, gathering spiritual energy to strike Ji Lanqing with a casual blow.

Li Xian was an inner disciple under the Grand Elder of Qianyuan Peak, with strength at the early stage of the Spirit Transformation Realm.

Ji Lanqing, only at the Qi Gathering Realm, was struck by Li Xian’s casual blow, causing her to spurt blood and fall to the ground, even though she was wearing a robe that could withstand an attack from a Nascent Soul cultivator.

“Kneel and beg for mercy now, and I might spare your life,” Li Xian taunted, his face full of triumph, as if he had defeated Jun Jiuxiao himself.

Ji Lanqing looked directly at Li Xian and slowly stood up. Just as she was about to fully rise, a blast of spiritual energy struck her again, causing her to vomit blood and collapse.

Ji Lanqing attempted to rise once more.

“This ugly wretch is truly stubborn.” Li Xian said, slowly approaching Ji Lanqing. With each step, he struck her again, and she could only bleed.

Ji Lanqing gritted her teeth and refused to beg for mercy. Blood seeped from her teeth as she repeatedly tried to stand, only to be knocked down again by Li Xian.

After being knocked down once more, Ji Lanqing no longer had the strength to get up. She finally realized that Jun Jiuxiao had been so kind to her for this day.

If she gave her life for him, she would no longer owe him anything. However, she was still unwilling to die without taking revenge on the Ji family.

“This stubborn, ugly creature, since you refuse to beg for mercy, I’ll send you to the underworld. Don’t follow the wrong person in your next life,” Li Xian said, preparing to deliver a final blow.

Before he could strike, a surge of spiritual power struck him, sending him flying.

“You dare lay a hand on my people?” Jun Jiuxiao’s voice, cold and oppressive, echoed through the room.

Jun Jiuxiao walked past the crowd and directly to Ji Lanqing’s side, giving her a healing pill. After administering the pill, he realized he had forgotten to accept the related mission from 2233, which was a loss.

He couldn’t afford to suffer a loss himself, so he would settle this score with others.

After Ji Lanqing took the healing pill from Jun Jiuxiao, she regained consciousness and saw that she was still alive, with Jun Jiuxiao standing in front of her.

Seeing that Ji Lanqing was now fine, Jun Jiuxiao turned his gaze to Li Xian’s left arm and said, “You used this hand to hurt her, right?”

Li Xian had just gotten to his feet, but before he could say a word, Jun Jiuxiao sliced off his left arm, causing blood to spurt out.

Li Xian couldn’t believe it. Jun Jiuxiao dared to strike him directly for the sake of a mere servant.

In his rage, Li Xian shouted, “Jun Jiuxiao, I’m going to kill you,” and charged at him.

Jun Jiuxiao slapped Li Xian, sending him flying, and said coldly, “Noisy.”

He then took out a handkerchief to wipe his hand and tossed it to the ground once he was done.

Li Xian was knocked out and lay on the ground.

Zhu Guangyuan watched as his subordinate, Li Xian, had his arm severed and was knocked out by Jun Jiuxiao. Fearful but compelled to speak, he said, “Holy Son, is it not excessive to sever the arm of an inner disciple, Li Xian, just for a maid? This also goes against the courtesy of the sect.”

“I only severed his arm out of consideration for the sect.”

“Daring to harm my people comes with consequences.” Jun Jiuxiao showed no consideration for Zhu Guangyuan.

Ji Lanqing, looking at Jun Jiuxiao’s back, felt an indescribable emotion, something she had never experienced in her life.

Zhu Guangyuan could only clench his fists and suppress his anger, saying, “How can the Holy Son’s actions win over the crowd?”

Jun Jiuxiao sneered, “You’re not satisfied? Then come and fight me.”

Zhu Guangyuan was left seething with rage but restrained himself from speaking further. If he could defeat Jun Jiuxiao, he would have done so already without hesitation.

He continued, “The Holy Son has severed Li Xian’s arm for the sake of a mere maid. Li Xian’s master will not let this pass. I hope the Holy Son can provide an explanation.”

Jun Jiuxiao’s expression did not change, and he was still unruly, “Then let his master come and find me.”

He then struck Zhu Guangyuan with a palm and said, “My maid was injured at your banquet. This palm strike is your apology to her.”

After speaking, Jun Jiuxiao left with Ji Lanqing, and no one dared to stop them.

Zhu Guangyuan, knocked to the ground, didn’t dare retaliate. He knew he couldn’t win against Jun Jiuxiao. If he dared to attack, Jun Jiuxiao could kill him outright.

Just as Jun Jiuxiao was about to step out the door, he paused and, facing away from the crowd, said, “Zhu Guangyuan, if you are not satisfied, you can also have your master come find me and seek justice.”

The crowd was even more shocked. Was the Holy Son openly challenging the Grand Elder? Did this mean the discord between the Holy Lord and the Grand Elder would be laid bare?

Zhu Guangyuan, unable to contain his anger, spat out a mouthful of blood.
