I’ll Live as a Villain Obsessed Over by a Magical Girl

Chapter 28 - This Villain Comes Free of Charge -4

Magical Girl Black Heart.
As her name suggests, she was a magical girl who handled black magic.

“Black Out.”

When Black Heart raised her hand to the sky, the surroundings changed. It was like a blackout curtain had been drawn over the entire world. Because of this, it became impossible to see even an inch ahead.

However, Kkomul-i and I weren’t particularly flustered.
We had already anticipated this level of attack.

As I spread both arms wide, tentacles crawled out. These were the same ones I had used to control Lee Taehwa before.

Small and elongated, but at the same time sensitive tentacles. They began to create long lines connecting wall to wall like a well-woven spider web.

“Ha!”
“…Hmm.”

Of course, Black Heart attacked during this time. She swung her sword at me while spreading darkness.

A purple flame carrying a curse drew an arc as it swept through. Its cutting power would be truly excellent.

I defended with one large tentacle. The tentacle disappeared, cut and burned like soft pudding.

Murderous power. If I hadn’t trained Iris, Black Heart would probably have been the strongest.
Of course, I had already intervened in the world, and the situation had changed significantly.

I had already planned how to deal with her.

“Haaah!!”

She continued to charge at me. As if not giving me a moment to rest.
Slash, slash, slash. Several tentacles were cut off and regenerated repeatedly.

“An opening!”
“…Kuk!”

Black Heart, aiming for a gap, slightly cut my shoulder blade. Feeling a burning pain, I asked Kkomul-i.

‘Kkomul-i. Is it ready?’
‘Just a moment… ah, it’s ready!’

As a test, I flicked the string right next to me, and a vibration transmitted to my body. A barrier of tentacles spread over a radius of 20 meters.

This was the method I came up with to counter Black Heart. A way to counter that Black Out.

In the game, it merely resulted in a significant decrease in Iris’s accuracy, but reality was different.

‘I really can’t see.’

This dark curtain allowed Black Heart to attack one-sidedly. Within this, Black Heart used ultrasonic waves like a bat to locate her opponent.

In other words, Black Out was a technique that created a kind of home ground.
And I.

Zing-

“So you’re there.”
“Kuk!?”
“Next is to the left.”
“Ugh!?”
“I can see. Your movements.”

Inside her home ground, I established my own home ground.

When Black Heart’s body touched a tentacle, a vibration rang out.

“Next.”

Bang!

A large tentacle moves in that direction. It strikes just as Black Heart tries to dodge, and she defends with the side of her sword.

But stopping movement was a mistake.

Bang! Bang!

A giant tentacle strikes repeatedly. It would be transmitting an impact greater than a rampaging elephant’s stomp.

Naturally, there is a limit to how much Black Heart can endure.

From beyond the darkness, a scream of “Uwaah!” was heard.

“Continue.”

When I snapped my fingers, more tentacles began attacking. Black Heart is quite sturdy. Sturdy enough to stand on the front lines with Iris if needed.

One or two hits won’t be enough.

“Ugh… uk!”

Black Heart seemed to have dodged for now, but another vibration rang out.
And once again, tentacles danced mercilessly towards her. They were just striking randomly because they couldn’t determine the exact location.

“Kyaa!?”

But when attacking like this, at least one hit will connect.

A loud noise was heard, followed by another vibration. This time was different. It wasn’t coming from one place, but from the entire front.

‘A frontal assault?’

She seemed to have decided to just charge. It seems she noticed that some sort of trap had been laid around her.

It’s remarkable that she noticed the strange threads in such a short time.

Swish!

With a sound of cutting through the wind, Black Heart’s body shot forward. A quick movement aiming for a vital point.

If it pierces properly, it would be a fatal wound. Yes, if it pierces properly.

Stab.
The sword plunged into thick flesh, and Black Heart looked up. A sensation of the blade piercing through.

But soon she uttered a puzzled voice.

“Huh…?”
“It would have been better if you had attacked together with others.”

Her cursed thrust is blocked by a giant tentacle.

“If you were with the others, it could have been quite dangerous.”

I lift up the tentacle with the sword embedded in it. Black Heart watches in dismay as her weapon leaves her hand.

I can see her expression.
Her red eyes are trembling. Her teeth made a chattering sound as they collided.

A frightened child who can only tremble.
A little kid who can only shake.

Black Heart, realizing her situation, tries to quickly distance herself, but.

“Where do you think you’re going?”
“Kuk…!”

Her body collapses after being kicked in the abdomen, and she spits out acidic gastric juice.

The scene of a beautiful young girl who had just become a middle school student crying and vomiting was, to put it bluntly, not a pleasant sight.

‘But what can I do? It’s karma.’

The tentacles writhe and grab Black Heart’s body.
Disgusting tentacles lick her face with a slurping sound.

Black Heart shudders at this.

I pulled her towards me and proposed a deal.

“Black Heart.”
“…”
“Call all your teammates here right now.”
“…”
“Then I’ll let you go. How about it?”

Black Heart’s eyes turn to me. Blood-red eyes. Their owner continues to stare at me without wavering.

“What happens if you don’t let me go?”
“Hmm?”
“What happens if I refuse?”

I spoke, making my voice as dark as possible.

“Perhaps you’ll have to spend some pleasant time with my tentacles.”

Though young in age, Black Heart seemed to understand the meaning of “pleasant time.”

“…Alright.”

Soon, she slowly nods.
She took a phone out of her pocket.

Although the screen is broken, it seems to work fine as she called someone.

“…Ah, Iris.”
“Put it on speaker.”
“…”

Squeeze.

[What is it? Why are you calling me?]
“…Um…”
[You have to speak for me to understand. Should I just hang up?]
“W-wait a minute!”
Black Heart held the phone and mumbled for a while. It wouldn’t be easy. After all, she would be betraying her teammates.

Black Heart’s eyes roll.
She stares at the phone, then at my mask.

Finally, as if she had made up her mind, she spoke.

“Hey, Iris.”
[What? ‘Hey’? You little-]
“Near the alley by Giwon Shopping Mall, if you go straight in, there’s a large open space. Don’t come this way. Kraken has set a trap and is waiting.”
[Wait, what did you say? Kraken? Where are you-]
“I’m hanging up.”

After ending the call, Black Heart threw away her phone.

“What to do now. They’ll come rushing in force.”

Tentacles crawl sinuously and grab Black Heart’s body. She seems resigned and allows herself to be captured.

I felt suspicious.

“Why did you do that? I was under the impression there wasn’t that kind of loyalty between you and them.”
“…It’s just unpleasant.”
“Unpleasant?”
“Listening to someone like you, I mean. It’s really the worst.”

Bang!
Black Heart is slammed to the ground.
Yet her eyes remain defiant.

“Go ahead, continue. You pervert who can’t even have a conversation with a young girl without hitting her.”

It was unexpected.
I thought she would definitely sell out her teammates while sobbing.

“So you’re still a magical girl after all.”

A power that doesn’t manifest without a sense of justice.
That’s the power of a magical girl.

“I just don’t like doing what you tell me to.”

Even while drooping limply, she didn’t stop talking.

…Well, still.

“So you’re not a piece of trash after all.”

I grabbed her body and climbed up the outer wall of the building.

“…Where are we going?”
“Well… to the highest place possible?”

+++++

Noah’s expression became serious.

“…Taehwa, unnie. Did you hear that?”
“…”
“…”

Silence fell as they looked at each other.
The first to speak was Lee Taehwa.

“So that villain called Kraken is fighting with Yu Yul?”
“Yes. That’s what it sounded like on the phone.”
“Suddenly? How did he know? Or was it just coincidence?”
“I don’t know. He’s always so unpredictable. Maybe he was chasing me again and came up with some strange scheme.”

Noah thought. This wasn’t a time to just talk. They needed to find Kraken immediately.

Before he caused more damage.

After completing their thoughts, they entered the bathroom and transformed. Magical girls jumping out of a bathroom.

It wasn’t a good look, but there was no choice in an emergency.

Thus, three magical girls burst out of the building.

They could see it not far away.
It was easier to find because people’s attention was drawn there.

Someone said.

“It’s Kraken! Kraken is carrying a girl!”

As he said, Kraken was heading towards the roof of a tall building with a black-haired girl.

“Let’s chase after him!”
“Yes!”

The three, including Noah, flew up. Their destination was, of course, the rooftop of the building.

Arriving there, they could see more clearly.
The unconscious Yu Yul and the villain Kraken holding her.

Kraken, seeing Iris, greeted her with a friendly voice as if pleased.

“Well, it’s been a long time.”
“…Kraken.”
“This little one. She interfered with my plans quite a bit. You have a good teammate.”
“…”
“Sell you out in exchange for her freedom… I didn’t expect her to refuse such an offer. Indeed, human hearts are difficult to understand.”

Noah had no way of knowing why Kraken would specifically mention such a thing.
But knowing that wouldn’t change what needed to be done.

Iris clenched her fist tightly.
Stella’s star arrows were tautly loaded.
Natalia’s small magic circle wrapped around the other two.

“We have the advantage, Kraken.”
“I am not a fool, Iris.”

Despite being in a situation where any ordinary villain would surrender immediately, his voice was extremely calm.

Seeing this, Natalia said.

“It’s 3 against 1! You’d better surrender now!”
“Enough. I don’t want to hear from anyone else. And above all…”

Kraken’s words trailed off.
At the same time, several tentacles swelled up, then burst into pieces with a “pung!”

Sticky flesh pieces falling to the floor.
They wriggled and pulsated a few times, then.

They inflated themselves and began to rampage like monsters with their own consciousness.

“It’s 3 against 100, young ladies.”

Taehwa’s surprised voice, and Natalia’s worried sigh.

Using those sounds as background music, Kraken declared.

“Now, shall we begin the show? My magical girl friends. And…”
“…”
“My archenemy, Iris.”
