Chapter 55: 55dragonborn(skyrim) in mha(mha)
(Synopsis draft:)
The last dragonborn finaly died.
What did him in? None of the god level beeings he sold his soul to remembered, as they were too ocupied fighting each other for it.
When he was alive, the last dragonborn would sell his soul as if it was candy to anyone and everyone who would take it! Regardless if they were either aedra, daedra or whatever! He acted as if he had an infinite amount of them to give away instead of just one, and that resulted in a fight amongst the godly beeings for the rights to his soul, said fight eventualy scaled up into a cosmic war.
Eventualy, the godly beeings all unanimously decided for an "if I can't have it, then NO ONE can" aproach during a conference. The last dragonborn's soul was just causing far FAR more trouble then it was worth it, so everyone just came toghether and yeeted to soul somewhere none of them could ever hope to reach.

(Mc's pov:)
My new name is "Izuku Mydoria", or i guess "Mydoria Izuku" as this world inverts first and last names for some reason...
Anyway, I was not expecting beeing reborn like this: everything that I am that is deeper then "body-deep" was kept mostly intact for some reason! I wasen't even expecting to get reincarnated at all with all the daedra and aedra i sold my soul to! And yet, here I am: my memories are all here. Including how to fight with all my weapons and armors and spells, how to craft potions and weapons and armors, how to enchant, how to do magic, everything!
Now, when I tryed magic in this new world, I discovered a few things: 1st and most pressing, beeing that my magika does not replanish on it's own.
It took years to discover the reason why: a science class at school tought me that the stars and the sun in this world are NOT holes in the fabric of reality that leak the energy of the aetherius dimension into the land, but they are instead absolutely massive fireballs that are billions of kilomiters away. HOW'S THAT BULLSHIT SUPPOSED TO MAKE ANY SENSE?!
Yeah, this world is WEIRD.
I thankfully was able to still make potions and replanish my magika that way. Altho it took me YEARS to get all the equipament I needed, and spending all that time with a completly empty magika pool was NOT fun.
I also discovered soon after I got some magika back in the tank that conjuration magic was not working at all. That was the second most glaring issue I had in this world.
I eventualy realized that this new world I am in is so completly separate from my original homeland, that I can not acess the planes of oblivion at all! I coulden't summon so much as a familiar! Daedra, atronochs, bound weapons... they were all off the table! Hell, even necromancy was not working (wich was weird, as i shoulden't need to reach oblivion for that!)!
At that point I was considering myself lucky to even have acess to magic at all, as I am disconected from aetherius as well, and aetherius is the source of all magic! It should be theoricaly impossible for me to be able to even use the weakest healing spell, yet I can. Me having magika at all here was a mistery that I wanted to researsh, but considering that no other forms of magic existed here, I would be forced to do it alone, from scratch, and with no equipament outside what I could recreate myself. If I had a couple milenia to spare, then maybe... but as it is, it would just be too much of a time sink.
I would miss everyone from my original homeland. I was hoping I could at least still summon Durnehviir, but even the thu'um coulden't reach oblivion from here. I could still use all other shouts like normal, so there was that I guess? Well, exept for "soul tear" anyway.
The "soul tear" shout still ripped souls out of a target's body like normal, but the target no longer become a zombie under my comand, nor do I have acess to soul gems to store the soul(rest in peace little squirrel, your unwilling sacrifice won't be in vain).
Speaking of soul gems, those don't exist here, so no enchanting for me(not like I could do it even IF I had acess to soul gems, as i would still be unable to acess the soul cairn in oblivion either way).
All other magic and shouts I tested worked fine thankfuly. The only headache I had there was keeping it a secret from my new mother.
A baby casting magic just after beeing born would be BEYOND weird in my homeland, and that went a thousandfold for using dragon language. After I learned that magic was just NOT A THING in this new world?! Yeah, I sure as heck made the right call there.
I thankfully diden't need to keep up the act forever, I quickly learned about the abilities this new world calls "quirks".
"Quirks" are abilities that manifest at arround age 4, people that DON'T have a quirk are quite rare, and quirks can become pretty much anything! From growing a tail to warping time, from breathing fire to making clones, my abilities can easily fall into the category of "an emmiter type quirk that gives acess to an energy that follow it's own set of rules instead of the laws of nature"(that is what I went for when I turned 4 by the way). Quirks vary between each pearson and even if they tend to pass down the family tree, a child's quirk not only not have to be necessarily the exact same as their parent and have slight diferences, but it could also mutate so much before birth that it is unrecognizable from the parent's quirk! So even if a bit uncommon, no one bat too hard an eye for me having "an emmiter type quirk that gives acess to an energy that follow it's own set of rules instead of the laws of nature" when my mom have a "weak teleknisis" quirk and my dad a "fire breath" quirk.
And with the way I worded how my "quirk" works, I could do anything abnormal and just blame it on it! Sure, "an energy that follow it's own set of rules instead of the laws of nature" was a literal truth for the normal spells i usualy cast, but what about shouts? What if I am completly out of magika and can't cast spells anymore but I still use a shout anyway? Well, I could just say "Oh, I can still do this spell even if I have not a speak of the energy I use to power my quirk left because just having the energy once unlocked this branch of spells forever and they go on a cooldown instead of using up my reserves. Why is it so diferent from my usual spells? Oh, my energy just follow it's own set of rules, and that includes its exeptions, I don't understand the logic behind it either, but it is what it is. *shrugs* don't look at me, my quirk is weird!" and be on the clear! Even my knowlage of fighting or crafting(or anything realy!) can be explained by my quirk just playing by it's own rules and giving me knowlage from thin air! Absurdly enought, my "quirk" is not even the wackiest one on record! That is how absurd these abilities can get!
Annoyingly enought however, is the fact that using quirks in public spaces is against the law! If I want to use my "quirk" freely, then I need a hero licence, considering that fighting criminals was a major part of what I am used to do for a living... yeah, it was not exactly a big sacrifice to decide on this carrer path. I could just be rich selling healing potions(as healing quirks are absurdly rare and without acess to those, even the best of tratmants would take days to heal even a small cut!), but that is realy not for me! I was already going bananas by going nearly a decade and a half without geting into so much as a fistfight! The hero carrer was my best bet at getting my dosage of combat, so I would bloody take it(even if heros just capture criminals instead of killing them)!
This new world is FAR less violent then my old one! Here, over half the population never had to so much as trow a punch in their entire lifes! While it may seem like a good thing on the surface to not have to fight for survival every day, these guys are just HELPLESS if they DO get in danger one day! If a criminal tries to attack them, the can only run, hide and pray that a hero would come to their rescue. No one carries weapons arround(even most heros and criminals), no one wears armor(bar most heros and some criminals), even training your quirk for combat is something people just DON'T DO unless they are a hero(or a criminal). It is just maddening for me to see these people trusting complete strangers that won't always be there with their freaking lives! Sure, guards were a thing back in my homeland, but everyone still carried arround at least a dagger in case something got past the guards... people are not omnipotent, there will always be a chance for something to go wrong, so we do our best to minimize those ods, and when the ods are against us, we still fight to not let go of control of our own destiny.
I have saved people before, true, i have been the stranger someone trusted their lifes with before, true, but people in nirn where not THIS helpless! If I had fallen protecting someone, they could have continued the fight themselves and perhaps beaten the oponent that did me in and surviving to see another day themselves, not letting my death be in vain! They could also fail and die in said fight, yes, but it would actualy be far less likely for them to die this way then, hum... lets say...? just stand there and hope for a SECOND SAVIOR LIKE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD DO?! Yeah, I have seen it happen in the news before, MULTIPLE TIMES at that! people in this world will just hope for a SECOND SAVIOR if the first one diden't cut it! And another one if the second fails! And another one, and another one... until either a hero suceeds or the criminal kills all the civilian dead-weight. Worse of it, is that as soon as a hero shows up, people here stop runing, hiding and praying, and instead STAND ARROUND TO WATCH!!! Instead of helping, instead of even getting to safety, they stand arround the fight and risk getting hit by stray attacks, making the hero's job far harder. I swear, it looks as if they don't actualy care about wheter they live or die, it is so very odd that civilians value their lives so little, but culture values people's lives so much that law enforcement is not allowed to kill criminals no matter how dangerous they are.
Also, i still find weird to call criminals "vilans", it feels like you are saying that they are just characters in a book instead of real threats.
Another thing I find weird in this new society, is the fact that racism and discrimination still exist, but everyone is the exact same race.
Yeah, no "mer" races here, and there is no subdivision that creates more then one race of "man". No nords, imperials, redguards, etc, and intead, everyone is just human and have the same racial traits. Sure, some look more like nords and others more like redguards and etc, but they are geneticaly all the exact same species.
Now, to be fair, the discrimination now-a-days is mostly due to diferences in quirks, and I too would take a guy capable of creating tornados more seriously in a fight then one that can only make small breezes, however, that is in a fight! Civilians here don't fight! And they still discriminate! And also, the existence of quirks are an absurdly recent event dating just 200 years ago! Was there no discrimination before quirks? Nope, people would discriminate against GENDER of all things! It is just sad!
