Chapter 47: Will he accept us? [Part - 6]
There was a young man standing in front of the hut with a small yet cold smile.
Ethan stood there like he was paralyzed, while staring blankly at Harry.
Maxine saw who it was and was about to attack Harry with his dagger, when Arnold, who was considerably close to him, forcefully restrained him.
If Arnold did not have a brain, then maybe his reaction too would be like his brother's, but as he was a cold and calculating person, he knew that the worst thing they can do was to attack him.
So, Arnold stopped Maxine, grabbed his dagger and hid it with his other daggers, as he went outside and said with a warm smile, "Your Majesty! How do you do? May I know what good deeds we have done to gain your presence?"
Frankly speaking, his words on their own sounded like he was making fun of Harry, but with his sincere expression and passionate voice, they had a whole different meaning altogether.
If not for the fact that Harry had used his scope to check Arnold's stats which showed that his loyalty for him was pitifully low, and his inner thoughts were along the lines, "Can't let him find out," Harry would have really believed that Arnold was happy due to his visit.
But, Harry was no less manipulative and calculating than Arnold. Maybe even more.
He had come there to recruit them, not to make them his sworn enemies.
So, he smiled back warmly at Arnold and said, "Nothing much really, just wanted to talk to you."
Arnold nodded as if showing that he understood and he led Harry inside the small hut.
Harry took this opportunity to ask Rae details about the twisted family.
She told him about their names, their past, everything about them. But for past crimes, there was only one she gave. 'Numerous. They are cold blooded killers.'
Harry was about to ask Rae where she got the information from when he was interrupted by Arnold who said in an extremely courteous manner, "I apologize to your Majesty for the size of our hut. It's very small. I hope Your Majesty can adjust."
Harry said with a bright smile, "It's Okay, Arnold."
Arnold shivered slightly when Harry called his name.
The man in front of him looked like the most nicest person you could find, but for some reason, there were alarm bells ringing in Arnold's head that he should not trust his outer appearance.
