I Was Sick of Loving You

chapter 30

30 – Strange dream

morning on a snowy day.

In a dingy room in an outbuilding, I sat next to a man lying on a bed.

I mutter while looking at the cold man who has lost his body temperature. I was talking, but for some reason I couldn’t hear it.

Muttering those inaudible words, she reached out her hand to the man’s cheek. In my hazy mind, the coldness I felt in my hands was so clear.

For some reason, I felt sad at that sharp coldness. With that unknown sadness, I check the man’s face.

The face of a man with pure white hair and scars scattered here and there was somehow familiar. I was used to it, but it was blocked by something and I couldn’t come up with it.

I care.

I’m worried, but I can’t think of it because I’m blocked by an unknown wall.

When I am paying attention to the phenomenon, my hand moves by itself. A hand runs through the man’s white hair. A crumbly tactile sensation is transmitted. The touch stimulates the heart, and the sadness becomes clearer.

Confusing.

Do you feel these feelings from a man you’re familiar with but you’re seeing for the first time… I don’t know.

In an unknown situation, the hand moves again.

hold hands this time cold and harsh The coldness felt in those hands hurts more than the coldness felt in the cheeks. The pain calls for rain in the heart, and the rain overflows and flows outside.

The overflowing rain wets the man.

I hated it for some reason. I hated it and was sad.

Another hand moves. Put your hand on the man’s lips. It was cold and hard.

The feeling shakes the heart, and the emotions run wild. The feeling is wild, heavy and swallows me up. breathing becomes heavy

As I was drowning in that heavy feeling, I heard a male voice from behind.

“Mother… it’s about time.”

Hearing the voice of a man he heard for the first time but somehow familiar, his body moved and he turned around.

A blue-haired man close to light blue and a brown-haired woman look at me. The eyes of the two people looking at me were red. Looking at those red eyes, it hurts my heart.

Heavy emotions and pain are mixed, the world is scattered and darkness comes.

Time passes and the darkness disappears. A familiar ceiling comes into view.

Raise your upper body from lying down and look around. My room with minimal decorations for dignity. Only when you see that scene do you come out of your dream.

that dream again

From the day I arrived at the witch’s residence in the snowy field, I started having painful dreams every day.

That dream comes to me today and confuses me.

It doesn’t matter if you dream the same dream. The problem is that the emotions of the dream are so clear in the haze, even after waking up, the pain that blooms from the afterglow of those emotions confuses me.

Locked in the lingering aftertaste, I think about that dream again.

On the first day, only the man’s face was briefly visible, but for some reason, it gradually grew longer and became today’s dream. No matter how you think about it, it is not an ordinary dream.

Could it have been cursed in the witch’s dwelling?

Probably not. That terrible witch’s curse couldn’t have been a dream like this. But other than that, there’s nothing to catch on.

Only a sigh comes out of the unknown dream.

Even if I think about the cause, I can’t find an answer, so I put it aside and chew on the dream scenes.

The corpse of a man who looks between middle-aged and elderly… It’s a man I’ve only seen in my dreams, but it looks familiar. It’s obviously familiar, but I don’t know. I think I’ll remember it if I go a little further, but the man’s face is gradually blurring.

Emotions still linger and haunt me, but memories quickly dissipate.

Even today, I couldn’t remember the man I saw in my dream. Since that man is important, this feeling must remain and torment me.

He sighs and puts his thoughts away from the man. After cleaning it up, I remember what the blurry man I saw in my dream said.

“Mother… it’s about time.”

Mother… That title was definitely meant for me. I think a lot because of that name.

Was I really me in my dream? Could it have been someone else? If I was me in the dream, would I have even seen the future?

I don’t know. My head is cluttered with thoughts that I don’t know the answer to.

In order to cool my complex head, I get out of bed, change my clothes, and move aimlessly. After passing the hallway, the footsteps head outside.

Darkness recedes little by little in the world, and blue light permeates in its place. And a cool wind blows The cool breeze lightens my hair a little.

As my head lightens a little, the place in my dream comes to mind. In my dream, I thought it was an outbuilding.

Outbuilding… The place where my mother was imprisoned. That’s why I haven’t been to…

I am a little hesitant at the thought. However, I felt like I had to check, so I took heavy steps.

Compared to the main building, the outbuildings are too crude and shabby. Open the door of that shabby outbuilding and enter.

The outbuilding, where no one lived, was so quiet and dark that it looked cold somewhere. After getting rid of such useless impressions, I check each room in the annex.

The more I checked the rooms, the more I thought they were like dream places. Because of that thought, my steps are getting faster and faster.

The rapid pace stopped. Except for the room in the dream and a few pieces of furniture, the same room as the one in the dream was laid out.

The sight convinced me that the dream was no ordinary dream.

What does the dream want to tell me?

When I think about it for a while, a passage from a book I read before comes to mind.

“Dreams sometimes show the future.”

Dreams show the future… Are you saying that dreams are the future?

That man is my future husband, and the last man and woman I saw was my children… too much leap. This is clearly an overkill.

I thought so, but the excessive leap did not leave my head and entangled me. My head hurts. breathing becomes a bit heavy

I get annoyed with those feelings. I don’t like the fact that I’m being swayed like this just because of my dream. Even so, I can’t get out of the lingering dream.

I sigh and look around the room some more.

No matter how much you look around, it’s a room with nothing special except that there are no traces of people. Still, I’m looking around a bit more to see if there’s anything there.

I searched until bright sunlight began to come through the windows, but I couldn’t find anything.

A little sense of discouragement rises. Feeling dejected and uncomfortable, as I thought about going back, I heard the sound of footsteps.

Since no one lives in the outbuilding, it must be a servant who manages it. I wondered if I could learn more by asking the attendant, so I headed toward the sound of approaching footsteps.

When I opened the door and left, I saw a man at the end of the hallway who had no reason to come here.

My fiancé, the person I fell in love with. I saw Alik.

A look of bewilderment passes over his face for a moment. I don’t know why, but seeing him in the morning makes me feel much better.

“Good morning.”

“Good morning. Lady Gong.”

I approach him who still calls me hard. As the distance got closer, it felt strange. With that strange feeling, the scene from the dream passes by for a moment and then dissipates.

It felt like a dream was talking to me. Again, this is an overkill. Stop overdoing the elixir and talk to him.

“What brought you here?”

“While I was taking a walk with nothing to do, this place caught my eye.”

I feel a little bit offended by that statement. He said he came in because he was noticed, but rather than the feeling of looking around, he had a strong feeling that he had gone straight to this hallway, which is strange. The weirdness bothered me, but I ignored it because it wasn’t a big deal.

“Nothing to do. Then, I will give you something to do.”

Not something I would say to a guest, but I just wanted to see his reaction.

“I don’t know if I can be of any help, but if you need help, I will.”

I’m probably saying this in a formal way, but hearing those words made me want to let go.

“I’m glad you said that. Then, stay by my side as my fiancé at the upcoming Harvest Festival.”

His eyes widened slightly at my words. The bewilderment seen in those eyes gave me pleasure. After giving me pleasure, he pauses for a moment before opening his mouth.

“… All right.”

“Then, I will look forward to that day.”

The lingering aftertaste of complicated and intense dreams disappears, and anticipation and joy bloom. Because of those emotions, a little laugh leaked out.

“Rather than that, why is the princess here?”

After thinking about his question for a while, I speak honestly because it’s not a story to hide.

“I came because I saw this place in a strange dream.”

My words caused a slight darkening on his face.

“You mean a strange dream?”

“Yes, it was a bit of a strange dream.”

“Could you tell me what kind of dream it is?”

I was a bit puzzled by his question, but I answered because it wasn’t something to hide.

“It was a dream where I was crying in front of the body of a man I didn’t know.”

“okay…”

For some reason, his face went pale.

“I’ve got something to do, so I’ll go first.”

After saying that, he quickly disappeared. He said that he had nothing to do, but he was a little concerned about his incoherent appearance when he said he had something to do.

I was nervous, but it was nothing, so I ignored the feeling and went to work while thinking about the joy of the harvest I got today.
