2. The Irregularity Occurring to Tsugaru Madoka
“Ah, I’ve been waiting for you, Risa.”
“Big brother… You don’t have to wait so diligently.”
If he’s not waiting, he gets incredibly angry and sulky, staying in a bad mood for over half a day. I know he’s a brother complex.
Such a description was in the trial version of the school rom-com part.
“Hideyoshi-kun, I really can’t make it in a class without you!”
“What’s wrong all of a sudden? You’re such an out-of-context girl…”
“Emi-san is definitely still hung up on that…”
“On what?”
Even if I’m not in the class, this is the first time I’ve seen Emi so beaten down.
Risa, who knew the situation, was patting Emi’s head, comforting her.
“Emi-san greeted the girl sitting next to her, but it turns out that person seems to be an acquaintance of either my brother or Akechi-san, and for some reason, Emi-san got completely trashed by her.”
What’s that? I don’t understand.
It must be the work of Takeru, the oblivious rom-com protagonist, since it’s not me.
“Whoa, scary! Takeru’s girl is crazy!”
“Hah!? There’s no way I know someone that crazy! It must be some girl Hideyoshi made cry in the past.”
“There’s no way such a person exists! You’re pretty popular, you know?”
“You’re secretly popular too, aren’t you!?”
“Don’t fight!”
Risa stops Takeru, and Emi stops me.
“Being secretly popular and all… don’t exaggerate.”
“Don’t spout nonsense about me being quite popular…”
“You guys seem happy…”
“It’s questionable not being able to have even one serious fight…”
Secretly popular, huh…
I’d like to ask later who’s into me.
“So, what’s the name?”
“Tsugaru-san. Tsugaru Madoka.”
“Nah, I don’t know her.”
“Really?” Even when Risa asked, I answered, “Seriously, seriously.”
She’s not a former classmate, so of course, I don’t know her.
“Then, what about Hideyori-kun?”
“I don’t know him personally…”
But I do know of him.
Of course, he’s a character from the original work, but she’s a very special type of character.
Not the heroine, Risa, but closer to the sub-character, Emi.
In the “Breaking the Chains of Sorrow” series, she’s the character who needs the least caution.
She’s just a regular person, with no dark shadows in her background.
She won’t become a victim of Hideyori’s misdeeds.
Even in the most tragic routes, she’s in the safest position with zero harm.
She’s a character that symbolizes everyday life.
She stands out in the demo version, but in the serious individual routes, she’s just a background character.
The lively Tsugaru Madoka is the character who’s there for comic relief.
The “Breaking the Chains of Sorrow” series might seem like a depressing game, but the demo version is quite the classic, chaotic school rom-com.
It’s the gap between light and dark that becomes addictive, according to popular opinion.
And then, when you reach a bad ending, there’s the “Helpful Mob Madoka” mini-corner, which completely breaks the serious atmosphere.
She’s friendly with both Emi and Risa, and there’s a hint of yuri in her service role.
She’s a character you can leave alone without any problems.
…But, it’s hard to believe that such a character would badmouth Emi.
Somehow, it feels like she’s become detached from the original work.
“So, what exactly did she say to you?”
“She doesn’t want to be coerced into anything.”
“She doesn’t want to be dragged into searching for your weaknesses.”
“She’s scared of the Hideyori-kun in the background.”
“Don’t get involved with the ‘gensaku,’ or the original work.”
While saying, “What’s this about searching for my weaknesses?” the three of them looked utterly confused.
“Is she high or something?”
“You think so too, right, big bro?”
“Maybe it’s better not to get close.”
The three of them were discussing, but my mind was overloaded.
‘Gensaku?’ As in, ‘involved with the original work’?
“……”
It seems a completely unknown irregularity has occurred to a woman named Tsugaru Madoka.
Eh, no, that’s scary.
“……Hideyori-kun, do you know something?”
“I don’t know, but I can imagine what’s happening to that Ms. Tsugaru.”
“Eh? What do you mean?”
“It’s just paranoia, right? It’s a loss just being involved with her. Such a person…”
He sure talked a lot.
She was a background character and went unnoticed, but it’s clear that Tsugaru Madoka has become the most dangerous person by far.
“Let’s go back, let’s go back.”
Now, should I intervene?
Or should I leave it be?
One more thing to worry about.
“Paranoia,” “a loss to be involved,” you sure lined up quite the convenient words, didn’t you?”
“Whoa, you startled me!?”
Without a sound, without a shadow, a female student appeared behind me out of nowhere.
She wore a star-decorated headband, a scrunchie on her wrist, and her long hair was well-maintained, not tied up.
However, she was a girl with the eccentric green hair often seen in dating sims.
Green hair is so unpopular for heroines… No, she’s not even a heroine, so maybe this is fine.
My hair is somewhat brownish, Emi’s is chestnut, Takeru and Risa have black hair – the original characters so far had relatively realistic colors, which made hers stand out.
If I said that, various heroines with white, pink, and other colors would appear later on.
“You have such flashy green hair.”
“Eh? Isn’t it normal?”
“……”
To Risa, even green seems to be a normal hair color.
That means the values I had before don’t apply to the residents of this world.
It’s so loose that it makes me feel like this world is a game.
“It’s Tsugaru-san…”
Emi suddenly hid behind me.
She must have had a really scary experience…
