I Was Reincarnated as a Villainous Noble But I’ll Be Executed as a Traitor if I Do Good Deeds Chapter 62
62: The Results of Training
The series of events that occurred at the school, including Julia’s abnormal powers. There are many things to think about, and it’s a pain. As I was spending time like that, a visitor arrived.
“Long time no see, foolish brother. You look well.”
“Sister, what brings you here? What’s going on at the academy?”
The long-term break at Astra Academy isn’t supposed to be now, is it? Did something happen?
“Apparently, the royal family is enrolling next year, so they’re taking a break to prepare. It’s just as well, since I was getting bored.”
Is this really necessary? It was already decided from birth, wasn’t it? What’s the point of doing something about it now? Well, it’s not like I can know the reason. I’ll just have to wait and see what happens after I enter the academy.
There are more things to worry about now. This event, whatever it is, might have a significant impact on the original story. Well, it’s already too late for that. The original story’s important characters are already being affected.
What I should be thinking about now is what to do with Kamira, who’s right in front of me. Well, it’s natural to welcome her back, but can’t I do something more?
“Was the coursework easy?”
“Yeah, there was no one who could become my enemy. Unlike you.”
In reality, there should have been senior characters in the original story. Is she stronger than them? Or did she not enroll?
It’s not impossible for someone as strong as Kamira to exist. Maybe she’s become ridiculously strong? There might be other possibilities too.
Well, it’s clear that Kamira is extremely strong. I couldn’t keep up with her speed, after all.
“Was it good…?”
“I don’t know. So, how about you?”
“For now, it’s going smoothly. Many people have awakened to new powers… yeah?”
Julia has awakened to an attribute-less state, and Shuter has awakened to magic by sending magic power. Thinking about that, I realized that it might be impossible to increase Mary’s attributes.
It just so happens that if we add Kamira and Felicia’s usable attributes, we’ll have all five attributes. Kamira has lightning, Felicia has flames, and Mary has the remaining water, earth, and wind.
Then, can’t we help Mary achieve her goal of having all five attributes (Pentagiga)?
“What’s wrong? If you’re a little troubled, I can listen to your worries.”
“Can you pour all your magic power into me? If you do, I think I can do something.”
“Then, I’ll force it into you….You understand, right?”
She’s giving me a fierce look. The phrase “force it into you” and my victory in battle will make her send me magic power. That alone is worth something. No mistake about it.
“No choice, then. Come at me.”
I summon the Oath Sword (Hope of Tribe) and prepare myself. At the same time, I infuse my entire body with magic power and strengthen myself. I don’t forget to protect myself with the Dark Clothes (Gratinee Wear) as usual.
Kamira charges at me with an incredible speed, one that would make me lose if I weren’t prepared. Ah, this opponent is tough. If I can’t handle the first attack, I’ll definitely lose.
We exchange blows several times, but it’s tough to win with just swordsmanship. No, we’re both using magic, too.
“You’ve gotten really strong, idiot brother!”
“You too, sis! If you don’t strengthen your eyes with magic, you can’t see!”
If I’m not careful, she might even surpass the speed of sound. Seriously, it’s hard to keep up with her speed. Reacting to it is even more difficult. If I’m going to take on this speed, I’ll need more than just magic.
It’s already tough when it’s one-on-one. The only way to win is to use magic to deflect Kamira’s sword attacks from a distance. That’s a difficult task, too.
Julia might be able to handle it with defense, and Felicia might be able to burn her way out of it. But for others, it’s impossible to counterattack.
At the very least, it’s an opponent I can’t beat without prior information. Julia, Felicia, and even I are suspicious.
“Of course! Speed is my weapon!”
“Then, I need to get faster too!”
“Try catching up, then!”
So, I use all my magic power to accelerate. It’s a huge burden, but I’ve been training in high-speed movement since I helped Kamira before. Back then, it was a close call. I need to get even faster.
Even so, Kamira is faster. Several times, her sword hits my Dark Clothes (Gratinee Wear) directly. If I didn’t have defense, my body would have been cut in two.
“You’re really fast! But my defense won’t break!”
“Then, I’ll show you my full power! This is the evolved, Lightning Sword (Bolt Spark)!”
I barely feel any magic power. That’s what makes this technique so dangerous. At the initial movement, I detect that almost all her magic power is gathered in her sword. The amount of magic power is overwhelming.
Somehow, I feel like I’ll be in trouble if I take it head-on. I need to reduce its power at least a little. Thinking that, I switch to attacking.
“Dark Blade (Fatal Blade)!”
My magic blade clashes with Kamira’s sword, and they struggle for a few moments. Then, my Dark Blade (Fatal Blade) is broken, and her sword reaches my Dark Clothes (Gratinee Wear). Since she’s aiming for me, my Dark Blade (Fatal Blade) doesn’t explode. Still, I didn’t think she could surpass my attack technique.
Somehow, I managed to get out of it unscathed. But if I had taken her attack head-on without a plan, I would have died. I’m grateful for my instincts.
However, Kamira is breathing heavily, her shoulders heaving. When I point my sword at her, she raises both hands.
“Ugh, I lost. Take my magic power, or whatever you want.”
“I would have lost if I didn’t counterattack with Dark Blade (Fatal Blade). You’ve gotten stronger, sis.”
“Of course! I won’t stop until I beat you.”
“I’ll take your magic power tomorrow, then. I want to see your full power, sis.”
“What a pain. But I understand.”
With that, we have until the next day. I quickly prepare an accessory to protect Kamira, similar to the one I gave Felicia, with my magic infused into it.
The next day arrives, and I head to Kamira’s place. What I need to do is already decided.
“Sister, take this. It’s the only way now.”
“What’s this, a choker? You’re into that kind of thing, aren’t you…? You want to put a collar on me?”
She glared at me with a sharp gaze, making me flinch. But I managed to maintain a normal face.
“It’s not that. With this, I can use my defense magic. If I can sense your magic, sister…”
“Then I’ll take it. And with that magic, I’ll… savor it thoroughly!”
Felicia-level magic was pouring into me. If I were to release it all, I could probably incinerate around 100 people.
“Amazing, sister. I can feel your overwhelming power.”
“It’s still not enough to beat you, though. Don’t get too cocky.”
“I’m the strongest, so it’s only natural.”
“Yes, yes. For now… you’re still not strong enough, though…”
Camilla looked down, her face clouded. I could understand why. But trying to comfort her would only have the opposite effect. I chose my words carefully.
“I’m working hard to surpass you, sister.”
“You’re so arrogant. You should be more humble.”
“That would mean I’ve lost to you, wouldn’t it?”
“You’re looking at me properly now. I’m satisfied with that. What will you do with that magic? Go ahead and use it.”
“See you later, sister.”
With this power, I could make Mary even stronger. That way, we could become even closer. I had to eliminate any potential enemies in the future.
