chapter 15
15 . The start of change
“I feel like vomiting….”
Those were the first words Rihanna uttered after the bugs were planted in her hair again.
“Sister, don’t be rude. Doesn’t it have any effect?”
She couldn’t make her feel better just by hearing those words. In the first place, the words they spoke did not contain any consolation.
I could still vividly see the movement of the guy wriggling violently on Elia’s palm.
Thinking that the movement continued in her own head made her feel like she was getting an unexpected headache, and her head was dizzy.
Could it be that she has already been brainwashed and feels okay?
Your body already moves according to the will of the elves, but you haven’t felt anything wrong because you’ve been brainwashed?
Irrespective of Rihanna’s many negative concerns, Elia gently caressed her forehead and spoke in a firm tone.
“It’s okay. Don’t die like this Oh, and sooner or later you’ll have nightmares. Do you really have to come and talk to me then?”
“You even have nightmares?”
Now I’ve given up on everything.
I’m not tired of elves.
She thought as a bug was planted in her head. She said that if Ain’s pain could be alleviated by her own slight discomfort, she would bear with it.
Seeing Rihanna barely quiet, Olivia opened her mouth.
“That’s right, I should give a gift to my sister who worked hard too.”
“A gift?”
Olivia gestured at her Noah with her glance, and Noah pulled out something shiny right between her breastbones.
Rihanna has her pockets, why? With her idea that she was, she felt a sense of relative deprivation. Children who are only 4 years old have such a body, but Ain and her 22-year-old self, who are the same age as her now….
I glanced at her chest. Her small breasts looked more miserable than usual.
As if to block Rihanna’s thoughts, Noah put a necklace around her neck.
A simple design necklace with one small jewel attached to it.
Rihanna’s intuition from her beggar life was telling.
This is a trinket with great value, different from ordinary treasure.
The elves looked at Rihanna, her eyes widening, and laughed out loud as if she was having fun.
Rihanna asked, letting their laughter flow through one ear, carefully placing her jewelry in the palm of her hand.
“Are you really giving it to me?”
If you sell these jewels to a jeweler who knows the value, you will get at least 50 million gold, or even 100 million gold if you bargain well.
The amount you can buy a house in the capital and live while playing for the rest of your life. Of course, no one knows if the jewel actually had that much value. It’s just Rihanna’s feeling.
Elves poured cold water on Rihanna, her eyes shining.
“Oh, shouldn’t I sell this?”
Rihanna shrugged her shoulders and looked at her elves with quivering eyes. Could it be that she was caught thinking?
Are these elves reading people’s thoughts, isn’t this enough to be at the level of the devil, not the elf, and among the 4 heavenly kings, no one can read thoughts, etc. Rihanna quickly shook her head.
“You don’t have to think so deeply. It’s just that her sister’s eyes are a bit impure, so she says it to her warning car.”
Rihanna, who was told not to sell, asked the question in a more subdued voice than before.
“But why are you giving this to me?”
The answer to that answer was not Elia, but Stella, who took a step forward from her.
“Your sister has now become our pawn. Did Ellia tell you? Even that wizard, his skills are not average among humans. Surely it will be easy enough to find the source of your magic power.”
“I don’t think the character of the bitch who betrayed her dad, who was like an angel, would be particularly good. Wouldn’t unnie not see good things if she got caught by him?”
I agree. Knowing Cassandra’s character, Rihanna knew that her elves’ words would come true.
Poisoned, cursed, and eventually become an undead wandering this world. Yes, any Cassandra Rihanna knows would punish a traitor like that.
But what does that have to do with this necklace?
Elia sighed at Rihanna, who was making her goofy face.
“Unnie, her real head is not working. As long as you set the same goals as us, it’s only natural that risks follow. This jewel is a magic ball that signals us if there is any danger to her sister.”
“Magic tools?!”
Isn’t magic tools a valuable tool that can only be worn by the main members of the party, such as warriors and wizards? Elia looked hesitantly at the elves, wondering if she could accept such a valuable thing so willingly.
Elia averted her gaze, twiddling her hair in her pigtails, and she answered in a low voice.
“Think of it as insurance. We feel uncomfortable when her sister dies because of us and her father is sad because of it. It’s the bare minimum.”
“Thank you….”
To borrow an honest feeling, I was very grateful.
Rihanna had the impression that her elves wouldn’t really care if she was killed by Cassandra, never to close her eyes in peace after death, and kept in her undead slavery.
Concerned about her own safety, she didn’t even think that ordinary people would give her a magic tool that they couldn’t even see.
Of course, the premise was ‘I don’t want to see Ain sad.’
Seeing Rihanna giving her honest thanks, the elves each smiled happily and waited for the change to come sooner or later.
●
I returned home with a lighter step.
Because I brought good news about Rihanna’s whereabouts.
Opening the door and entering the living room, the children clung to me.
She greeted me with actions that were no different from an immature child compared to her grown-up appearance, such as grabbing her arms and jumping on her back or chest.
Since I was always being pampered by the children like this, I even felt like I was in better shape than when I was carrying my luggage at the warrior party.
Starting with stroking Olivia’s head, who was holding onto her arm, he finally opened his mouth after he had listened to all the children’s demands.
“Did you have a good time?”
Stella smiled brightly and nodded her head vigorously.
“Yes! My sister played with me, so she wasn’t particularly bored.”
I thanked Rihanna as I hung my clothes on a hanger in the corner of the living room.
“Sorry, I have to play with the kids, but I seem to have taken on the job.”
Sitting with her back on her sofa, Rihanna was half-saggy, as if possessed by her own slime.
She straightened up at my words, shook her head, and answered in a brighter voice than usual.
“Oh, no. The kids are all nice and listen well, so I had fun too.”
Listening to the compliments from the children made me feel better than when I received the compliments myself.
Is this the mind of eight Buddhas? I plopped down next to Rihanna, raising the corners of her mouth and giving her a wide smile.
“Isn’t it? Our children are rumored even in the village. Where are these filial daughters?”
“Ugh, yeah. I think so.”
Rihanna bowed her head as she answered. I made eye contact with her and asked in her worried tone.
“Why are you sweating so much? Are you not feeling well anywhere?”
Rihanna didn’t seem to know what she was doing. After hearing my words, she looked at her own condition.
Sweat was pouring down her whole body like rain. The dark complexion looked like it would collapse at any moment.
Even catching a cold could harm the children.
“It’s okay… ! I think it’s just because the environment has changed a bit.”
“Really? It’s good to get some sleep if you’re sick. This is different from a party. Because no one will say anything to you just because you sleep.”
When I was at her party, her main complaint was fatigue and insomnia caused by night shifts.
But this isn’t a party full of trash. It was a peaceful house where there was a bed when you lay down and hot food served when you were hungry.
At least here, I hope everyone will consider each other as family and live in peace.
At my suggestion, Rihanna stumbled out of her seat.
“Then can I get a little sleep?”
Confirming my nod, Rihanna trudged her steps into the small guest room.
It was only then that I came up with an idea, the reason why I had left her house for a while, and raised my voice to call Rihanna to death.
“Oh, Rihanna!”
Rihanna looked back at me with her helpless gesture.
“Huh?”
“I also found out where you live. I didn’t know, but the house right across from us had moved? You can use it for a while.”
“Thank you. I’ll go right away tomorrow.”
With Rihanna smiling faintly behind her, I opened the newspaper I had brought home.
‘The local festival, which was cut off after the war against demons, resumes after 37 years of perseverance!’
It’s something I would normally skip over, but a small picture in it caught my eye.
Helga, she was smiling brightly, holding a glass high above her head.
