Chapter 53: Second semester begins (8)

As soon as I saw Ariana’s flushed face, my first reaction was of course concern for her.

“Ariana, you seem to be coming down with a cold, are you okay?”

It was easy for anyone to see that she wasn’t her usual self.

It wasn’t just that her face was pink, but there were other things about her that told me something wasn’t right.

Her gait was strangely lighter than usual, and her voice was slightly shaky, which was the first indication that Ariana was in a very different state than usual.

“…I’m fine.”

“You don’t look fine. Being the vice president doesn’t mean you have to show up every day, so why don’t you go home early and rest today?”

“I agree with you, Alex.”

“Well, it’s not like the student council isn’t going to run if Ariana takes a day off, so like your fiancé said, go home and get some rest today.”

I spoke up out of consideration for Ariana, who was obviously not feeling as well as she usually did, because everyone cared about her, not just me.

“Everyone shut up. I told you I’m fine.”

There was a short silence at the firmness of Ariana’s voice.

“Well, yeah.”

“Oh, yeah….”

“…….”

“Everybody get back to your seats and get back to work.”

We who got up to support Ariana pressed our butts against the chair because of her firm attitude.

We can’t force her to go back when she says she’s fine.

There wasn’t anyone in the room who was brave enough to disagree with her in the first place.

Once Ariana starts being stubborn, she’s not going to back down, so trying to force her to go back would only backfire.

I’ll just have to wait it out, and if she gets too far gone, I’ll pick her up and hurry home.

Staggering back to her seat, Ariana picked up the stack of papers on her desk and began to walk toward me again, her steps shaky.

Not again.

She was trying to sit next to me, just like last time.

I moved my chair to the corner so that she could sit, not wanting to disturb Ariana’s mood while she was sick.

But instead of pulling up a chair for herself, she subverted my expectations by doing the unthinkable.

Ariana’s soft lower half pressed against my thigh without warning.

The stimulation was so intense that it was hard to comprehend what was happening at the moment.

I look around and see that the others are not far behind me. They were speechless at Ariana’s sudden outburst.

Eamon is the only one with his head down, shaking and laughing like it’s funny.

Everyone seemed to be at a loss as to how to call attention to Ariana, who was nonchalantly sitting on top of me.

“Ah, Ariana….”

“Alex.”

“Uh, yeah.”

“Why don’t you sit up straighter? There’s no room for me to sit.”

If you don’t feel comfortable, you can sit in the other chair.

Ariana’s behavior was completely unreasonable, as she abandoned the spare chair and climbed on my thighs, and then complained about it.

Even if we were fiancées, such undignified behavior in public was not the behavior of a First Prince and Duchess.

Instead of making a blame-shifting remark about who’s to blame, I stretched my arm over the desk beyond Ariana’s body.

Her chest fat brushed against my forearm as I signed the paperwork, and every time I had to stop and replay the chorus of the national anthem.

After about five minutes of this, I was still working in a cold sweat when someone stood up to end the embarrassment.

“Moderation, Prince Alexandros.”

“…Huh?”

“I’ve always tried to keep my nose out of your relationship, but I’m afraid I can’t stand it any longer.

You’re making out with Ariana in broad daylight in the student council chambers, do you have no sense of shame?”

“No….”

It’s obviously me who’s being harassed, not Ariana.

As I was about to voice my protest to Charlotte, Ariana’s lips moved before mine.

“Is that what Charlotte is going to say?”

As soon as I heard the calm tone of Ariana’s voice, I realized.

Charlotte’s words had touched a nerve, and even her best friend wouldn’t be able to get away with it.

“Oh, Ariana?”

“Because Charlotte’s done more of the lovemaking in the student council chambers, and now you’re only talking to me and Alex?”

“…What are you saying, Ariana?”

“Did you think I didn’t know? Ever since Prince Eamon walked into the student council chambers, you two have been sitting next to each other and making out every time.

You’re filling out papers with your fingers interlocked under your desks, poking your fingers into each other’s backs or thighs.”

“…….”

“Come to think of it, was that three days ago? I didn’t think you’d go so far as to do that while everyone was looking away.

But I swear to you, I heard it, definitely coming from Charlotte and Prince Eamon’s direction, vaguely….”

“I’m sorry, I won’t say anything more, please stop, Ariana!”

Hastily covering her face with her handkerchief, Lady Charlotte returned to her seat.

Judging by the redness of her face peeking through her fan, Ariana’s words were almost certainly true.

I’m glad I didn’t tell her to jump off first, as she collapsed less than a minute after she complained.

“…I’m going out!”

Unable to bear the embarrassing atmosphere, Kael grabbed a few papers and ran out of the student council room.

So much for the student council activities for the day.

A quick subduing of Ariana and cleaning up the mess would be the most amicable way to end things.

“Ariana.”

“Eh?”

“…I’m sorry.”

After offering a lame apology to a rather embarrassed Ariana, I immediately bit the nape of her neck in front of me.

“Huh?!”

Ariana’s back arched as she was suddenly bitten at her weakest point.

It was a weakness I’d stumbled upon as a child, and I was glad to see it still worked.

“Now, wait a minute, Alex….”

Sensing something was amiss, Ariana squirmed as she called my name, but I closed my mouth firmly around the nape of her neck and continued the gentle stimulation with my tongue.

“Oh, okay! Okay, now stop….”

She tried to rise up, as if to escape from my body, but the clamps already in place on both of her hands made it impossible for her to escape.

Turning to Eamon and Charlotte, who were seated in front of me, I signaled with my eyes.

“Eh, Eamon, come to think of it, didn’t we also have an outside schedule today?”

“…Come to think of it, I guess so.”

As soon as I saw Charlotte and Eamon hurrying out of the student council room, I ran my tongue gently over the nape of Ariana’s neck.

There was no quicker way to fix the current situation than this, now that they no longer had to be seen.

A few moans followed, but once again, my lips never left the nape of her neck.

After a few minutes, the strength slowly began to drain from her body, and I could tell it was coming to an end.

“Ha, ha, ha!”

With a long exclamation, Ariana’s body straightened for a few seconds.

Immediately afterward, Ariana’s body relaxed completely, and she fell asleep in my arms, breathing softly with a happy smile of satisfaction on her face.

“…Was it the lack of desire?”

I honestly didn’t understand why she would suddenly act like this when she had at least a sense of time and place.

After all, I hadn’t always been receptive to her acts of affection, so maybe that was part of the reason.

“Maybe I need to make the first move sometimes.”

I’d better start making up for my lack of affection before it happens again.

I wrapped my arms around Ariana’s completely thawed body and started to walk her back to her dormitory.

Later, when Kael or Eamon returned to the student council chambers, I would take care of the student council business for the day.

For the next few days Ariana turned bright red as soon as she saw my face and ran in the opposite direction.

It took her three days of not showing up to the student council office before her shameful feelings were completely subdued.
