I, Thanks To My Unlimited Investment, Am Admired By All Races

Chapter 43: How Did You Find Your Way Here?

Night had fallen.

After dinner, Li Xun wandered alone in the Qin family’s back garden, strolling aimlessly.

He extended his spiritual sense, covering only a radius of about two hundred meters.

This range was close to his limit; any further expansion might alert some of the experts within the Qin family.

After all, a lone individual roaming the Qin residence at night with his spiritual sense extended might easily be mistaken for someone attempting to uncover the family’s secrets.

Half an hour passed.

Li Xun stopped and sighed quietly.

He had to admit, the Qin family truly lived up to its reputation as the leading family in Luoye City.

This residence was enormous—he had been wandering for half an hour and hadn’t even managed to walk around it completely.

At this moment, he began to wonder if the system’s indicated range had expanded again. Otherwise, he would have finished walking within three kilometers long ago.

Why hadn’t he found the person surrounded by the blue investment aura yet?

Surely it couldn’t be…

A thought struck him, and he tensed up.

Could it be that the person the system had alerted him to in the morning had already left?

After all, people move around, and in the course of the day, who knew where the person the system had indicated might have gone?

If they’d left the Qin residence or even the city entirely, finding them would not be simple.

‘I just hope they’re still in the Qin residence,’ Li Xun thought.

If it had been an ordinary white investment target, he would have let it go, since the rewards wouldn’t be anything special.

But today’s target was a blue investment—a reward that was “Innate Divine Strength!”

This was a rare talent.

While it wasn’t necessarily overpowering, many unique physiques in the cultivation world included the characteristic of innate strength.

To Li Xun, however, this talent was perfect.

Being a Halberd practitioner, he valued force and strength in his techniques, and if he combined it with innate strength, he’d be nearly invincible within his realm of cultivation.

‘If I really can’t find them, I may have to ask Uncle Qin for help…’ he thought.

Just then, he paused and looked to his side.

It was a courtyard wall. Behind it was a small lake, and on the lake, two young women sat whispering to each other.

One of them was surrounded by a rich, blue glow.

‘I finally found you!’ A glimmer of excitement flashed in Li Xun’s eyes as he scanned the area with his spiritual sense and quickly located the path leading to the lake.

Meanwhile, at a small pavilion on the lake.

Xiao Huan stood beside Qin Xueyi, chattering away.

“Miss, did you notice how incredible the young master was today? He didn’t even move, and he managed to wound a Chen Family Guardian! I heard that Guardian was actually a cultivator at the Profound Elixir stage!”

“Do you understand how powerful a Profound Elixir cultivator is? They’re so strong that a single stomp could shake all of Luoye City! Yet the young master defeated him without moving an inch. Isn’t he incredible? Could he be at the Life and Death stage, like the Family Head?”

“Miss?”

“Miss???”

Xiao Huan’s voice grew louder with each question.

Qin Xueyi snapped back to attention. “What were you saying?”

“Miss, ever since you came back this afternoon, you’ve been out of it. Are you thinking about the young master?” Xiao Huan leaned in with a cheeky smile.

“Hmm…” Qin Xueyi nodded absent-mindedly, her mind wandering again, missing most of what Xiao Huan had been saying.

But Xiao Huan had hit on something crucial.

She had indeed been thinking about Li Xun all afternoon—not for romantic reasons, but out of confusion… and curiosity.

Based on her memories from her previous life, everything about Li Xun today was unusual.

It was as if he had become an entirely different person.

Other than his appearance, there was almost nothing similar to the person she once knew—not even his aura.

Although he had always been gentle, the air of transcendence he now radiated, his commanding presence, had not been there in her previous life.

Even more puzzling was Li Xun’s cultivation level.

Wasn’t he supposed to have only just entered the Qi Condensation stage? How had he managed to defeat a Profound Elixir cultivator in an instant?

From the power he displayed, she guessed he was at least at the late stages of the Spirit Meridian stage, though she couldn’t rule out the possibility that he was even stronger.

After all, she didn’t possess spiritual sense yet and couldn’t gauge Li Xun’s depth accurately.

‘Was everything from my past life just an illusion?’ Qin Xueyi wondered, feeling a bit shaken.

She had just been reborn yesterday, yet everything she’d experienced today contradicted her previous life so drastically that she was beginning to question whether it had all been a dream.

But in her mind, memories spanning tens of thousands of years kept reminding her that her past life had been real; it was not a dream.

‘No matter whether today’s changes are because of my rebirth or not, one thing is certain: the trajectory of the past has already started to twist,’ she thought. ‘This means that the opportunities I knew from my past life might now emerge earlier, and those that originally belonged to me might no longer be mine!’

Her heart raced. In her previous life, her rapid ascent had been closely tied to the opportunities she’d encountered along the way.

Although some of those opportunities no longer held much meaning for her, since many of them contained only partial inheritances which she now fully remembered, making them unnecessary.

The issue was that some of those opportunities contained treasures that could alter her physique or boost her strength.

She had to claim those.

“Xiao Huan!” Qin Xueyi called, her thoughts refocused.

She flipped her hand, and a piece of paper appeared in her palm, covered in dense writing.

She handed it to Xiao Huan, saying, “Go to the family treasury and see if you can find these medicinal ingredients. If you can’t, go buy them at the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. Be quick—I need them urgently!”

“Understood.” Xiao Huan nodded, glancing at the list.

She recognized many of the ingredients, but together, they made little sense to her.

Without further thought, she turned to leave for the Qin family treasury, but after taking only a couple of steps, she froze, her voice filled with surprise.

“Young Master?” Xiao Huan called.

“How did you find your way here?”

“Huh?” Qin Xueyi turned to look.

Standing by the lake was a tall figure in white, walking toward them with an ethereal grace, every movement in harmony with the essence of the world.

He appeared like a transcendent being, descending from the heavens to the mortal world.
