Chapter 8 - Your friend is very outgoing
Chapter 8: Your friend is very outgoing
Inside a luxury villa, the girl with a high ponytail held an empty bottle and shouted at Squirtle in front of her.
“Come on, Squirtle! Look here!” “If you hit it, there will be a reward,” she said.
“Squirtle, Squirtle!”
Squirtle patted his chest confidently and stood with his hands on his hips, indicating he was fine.
“Haha~ Still so arrogant, Qianqian. You’re so cute,” the girl was overjoyed looking at Squirtle’s cute appearance and spoke with Qianqian, who was recording a video not far away.
“Humph~ That’s right. My little turtle is so smart,” Bai Qianqian huffed twice, but her smile remained intact. She was immensely proud.
“Tsk~ Squirtle, it’s your turn now,” the girl, Chu Kelian, sighed but couldn’t hide the sourness in her words. After that, she enthusiastically gestured to Squirtle.
Squirtle’s little face was serious, his eyes fixed on the bottle in Chu Kelian’s hand. Chu Ke shook her arms twice and suddenly ignited the empty bottle.
Swish~
A small water column shot out instantly, and Squirtle’s Water Gun knocked the empty bottle into the air with a bang.
“Nice!”
Bai Qianqian waved her fist, impressed by the display. So cool!
“Wow~ It’s so accurate and hit the target,” In a surprise, Chu Ke picked up the empty bottle and examined the dent caused by Squirtle’s Water Gun.
“Moreover, it’s quite a punch.”
Chu Kelian gazed at Squirtle, praised by Bai Qianqian and reveling in her affectionate strokes. The Pokemon wore an expression of delight that seemed almost human-like.
“He could even be a bodyguard,” Chu Kelian suggested.
Chu Kelian didn’t know that Squirtle had already expertly controlled the impact of the water gun. Otherwise, with a soft mineral water bottle like this, Squirtle’s full-powered water gun could have shot it directly. And this was just a young Squirtle.
“Hehe~ when Squirtle grows up, it can still protect me, right, Squirtle?” Bai Qianqian said happily.
“Squirtle~” Squirtle responded affectionately.
Observing Bai Qianqian’s interaction with Squirtle, Chu Kelian couldn’t help but roll her eyes, feeling envious.
“Hey, Qianqian, did you buy Squirtle at the recommended pet store?” She asked, walking over to Bai Qianqian’s side and pinching Squirtle’s little cheeks.
“Yes, it’s completely different from what you said. It seems the store reopened after you purchased from there,” Bai Qianqian replied.
“Are there still Squirtles available there?” Chu Kelian inquired, having already anticipated this question from her friend.
“I don’t know. That store is unique. The seller makes buyers draw lots to obtain their pets, and what you can get is a mystery,” Bai Qianqian explained as she gently touched her delicate chin and recalled.
“But there are a lot of them. I don’t know if that little brother in the shop has so many different pets,” Bai Qianqian continued, handing an energy block to Squirtle, her curiosity piqued.
She could still discern their rough outlines, although it was unclear due to black shadows. Among those shadows, she even spotted the outlines resembling Western fantasy dragons.
Shouldn’t there be dragons? Bai Qianqian wondered, observing Squirtle chewing the energy cube happily. She pondered the possibility.
“Are they random? Would you accompany me to take a look, Bai Qianqian?” Chu Kelian asked, her eyes shining with curiosity and interest.
“Sure,” Bai Qianqian agreed.
…
They arrived at the Pokemon House pet store.
“Boss, can’t you sell it cheaper?” Lin Sheng pleaded and tightly hugged Vulpix, but his face filled with conflict. He truly liked this little fox with six tails.
“Boss. For me, 180,000 is too expensive. I’m still a student,” he said.
“Where else can you find a pet like this? It’s a unique six-tailed Vulpix,” Guxin explained, feeling helpless as he knew it wasn’t easy.
“How about this? You buy this Vulpix, and I’ll also give you an extra box of energy cubes,” Guxin suggested. “The energy cubes can help your Vulpix’s growth and shorten the time to evolve into Ninetales.”
Guxin thought momentarily and maintained that he couldn’t lower the price. He wanted to reach a sales volume of 100 million as soon as possible to upgrade the system.
“Then… Please wait for a moment,” Lin Sheng said, feeling even more conflicted about Guxin’s firm stance. However, as he looked down at the Vulpix licking its paws, Lin Sheng decided and gritted his teeth.
Damn it! This was destiny, bringing him and the Vulpix together! Lin Sheng was determined to take the little fox home today.
“Okay, sir, trust me, this Vulpix is worth the price,” Guxin assured Lin Sheng with a smile. He was relieved that the customer was not backing down.
“I knew it earlier. I won’t charge so much,” Guxin said.
Though hesitant, Lin Sheng recognized that this was a six-tailed Vulpix and could become a nine-tailed fox. Of course, 180,000 yuan was not too expensive. He regretted having recently spent 50,000 yuan on gaming.
He belonged to a good family. His grades had always been good. His parents gave him pocket money every weekend, but he threw all that into playing games.
“I still need 40,000 yuan. Let me ask my cousin,” Lin Sheng decided. He sat down, placed the Vulpix on the table, took out his phone, and contemplated which friend to borrow money from.
As he dialed his cousin’s number, Lin Sheng spoke somewhat shyly. He was handed a glass of juice while Guxin prepared to step outside for a smoke. Today was turning out to be quite lucky. First, a young lady in the morning, and now a young master in the afternoon. It seemed like a fortunate day indeed.
But before Guxin could leave, the wind chimes on the door again rang.
“Welcome. Oh, it’s Miss Bai Qianqian again,” Guxin exclaimed, hastily putting his cigarettes back into his pocket. With his usual charming smile, he greeted the newcomer.
However, Bai Qianqian’s sudden appearance surprised him. “Hey, boss, you’re still so handsome,” she remarked.
“Squirtle-Squirtle~” Bai Qianqian greeted Guxin cheerfully, and her Squirtle, standing at her feet, also greeted him twice. It was evident that the water turtle still remembered Guxin.
“Haha, don’t tease me, Miss Bai Qianqian. Squirtle is in high spirits,” Guxin replied, smiling as he bent down and gently rubbed the smooth little head of the Squirtle.
“Well, my friend here also wants to buy a pet from you,” Bai Qianqian stated, turning to Guxin. However, as she introduced Chu Kelian, she realized she was no longer by her side.
Bai Qianqian blinked and looked inside the store. Sure enough, Chu Kelian had already entered and intently gazed at Diancie.
“Your friend seems quite outgoing,” Guxin remarked.
“Hehe…” Bai Qianqian chuckled in response.
