I Spread Pokemon All Over the World

Chapter 13 - Boss, are you an alien?

Chapter 13: Boss, are you an alien?

“Pokemon battles?” Upon hearing this term, Bai Qianqian and the others were all taken aback.

“Yes, the allure of Pokémon is not just about their cute appearances and likable personalities.”

“Attributes, abilities, moves—these all exist for battles. Of course, my choice of words may be a bit biased.”

“But personally, the greatest charm of Pokémon, in my opinion, lies in the determination and belief they show when they give it their all in battles within the arena.”

Guxin’s words carried a strong sense of longing. However, perhaps considering the emotions of Bai Qianqian and the others, he chose a more subtle approach. In the arena, Pokémon and Trainers fought with all their might, risking everything for victory and their dreams. That kind of intense charm was the most captivating aspect.

However, at this moment, Bai Qianqian and the others couldn’t quite grasp this charm. Or within their current understanding, it was hard to comprehend. Moreover, even in Pokémon, many trainers and humans had a more relaxed approach. Integrating Pokémon into daily life was Guxin’s ultimate goal. Just like in the world of Pokémon, people and Pokémon lived harmoniously, helping each other—a truly beautiful scene.

But there was no denying that Guxin’s greatest anticipation lay in Pokémon battles.

“Battles… isn’t that like beast fighting?” Bai Qianqian blinked, clearly shocked by Guxin’s words.

Pokémon battles? Wasn’t that just another term for beast fighting? And humans fighting against these creatures? But was that really alright?

Bai Qianqian gazed at her adorable Squirtle, feeling a bit hesitant. She couldn’t quite imagine her Squirtle in a battle. It must hurt, right?

She furrowed her brows uncomfortably. To be honest, she felt uneasy about it.

Lin Sheng and Chu Kelian felt the same way. They didn’t want any harm to their beloved companions because of their deep love. Moreover, forcing creatures to fight was morally wrong devoid of humanity.

“Your concerns are unnecessary. Pokémon are extremely resilient, and as long as they don’t keep battling after sustaining heavy injuries, their safety won’t be compromised.”

Seeing the silence from the three, Guxin seemed to understand their thoughts. He smiled and continued, “Furthermore, Pokémon battles are not what you might think. Forcing creatures to fight is when humans coerce animals to satisfy their desires and entertainment, disregarding the animals’ will in a survival-of-the-fittest scenario.”

“But Pokémon battles are different. Pokémon are willing to battle because they inherently possess the talent for it. Additionally, they battle for the honor of their Trainers and to showcase their strength.”

“Pokémon battles aren’t about survival; they’re about friendly competition. That’s the most important thing.”

Guxin gently patted the head of the little Charmander as he explained to the three. He didn’t want people to confuse Pokémon battles with forced beast fighting because there was a fundamental difference between the two.

Forced beast fighting had always been condemned as inhumane behavior.

Upon hearing these explanations, the expressions of Lin Sheng and the others relaxed a bit.

“Boss, let’s talk about this later. We need some time to digest all of this,” Chu Kelian’s eyes flickered slightly. Honestly, she was quite intrigued by Guxin’s description of Pokémon battles. But for now, she didn’t want to risk accidents with her Charmander.

“Of course,” Guxin nodded with a smile.

To be fair, it was a bit early to talk about Pokémon battles. After all, there were currently only three people in the room who had Pokémon. Well, Guxin was not counting himself.

“Boss, I’d like to ask about how Pokémon learn moves. Can my Ninetales learn other moves as well?” Lin Sheng asked Guxin, glancing at Diancie.

Yeah, that powerhouse’s moves were truly over the top!

“Of course, that’s possible. Even though the Pokédex doesn’t show it, Pokémon learn new moves as they grow.”

“That’s why the human partners of Pokémon, called Trainers, play a role. Trainers nurture and help their Pokémon grow and develop.”

Guxin continued explaining patiently to the three. He was considering creating a beginner’s manual for Trainers. He realized that people had minimal knowledge about the Pokémon system. He couldn’t keep explaining everything in such detail to every new customer. Creating a Trainer’s Guide was becoming necessary.

“I see, so it’s like summoning creatures and summoners in novels.”

Lin Sheng pondered. This was remarkably similar to the summoners and summoned creatures in fantasy novels, right? The amount of information was truly overwhelming.

“If you want to understand it that way, that’s fine too,” Guxin smiled.

“This is amazing. Boss, tell us honestly, are you some sort of alien? These Pokémon don’t seem like something from our world at all.”

Chu Kelian marveled, teasing Guxin with a joke. In any case, it was all too unbelievable. Strangely, Chu Kelian felt she could accept and process this information efficiently. Encountering such fantastical creatures would be met with disbelief or even fear. Maybe it was because the appearances of Charmander and the others were so cute and harmless. Or perhaps it was due to her strong heart?

“You’re quite the joker, Miss….”

Guxin maintained his smile and replied playfully. Although he appeared calm on the surface, there was a subtle jolt in his heart.

Phew! It was good that the system had blurred the influence of people’s perceptions of reality. Otherwise, it would have raised suspicions long ago if he had thrown out so much information like this. After all, these extraordinary creatures, the Pokémon, were a massive departure from the technological society.

It was clear that these new revelations would profoundly impact the people of this world.
