I Reincarnated Twice in The Dragon Ball Universe?!?!

Chapter 23: Limits

Jin's blood ran cold, something that hasn't happened since the war, his breath notched as he sensed Cell's power and it eclipsed his own, and he can already taste blood in his mouth.

Inhalling slowly he quickly came to the conclusion, that he will die if he doesn't take this carefully. He'd usually just attack blindly and beat them down before they could really get anything off of him.

But this time?

He might die again.

"So, why're you here?" Jin spoke carefully, choosing his words almsot an entire minute ahead.

Cell chuckled while shaking his head "well, you see, I've be presented with an opportunity of a lifetime, and well. Let's just say it has allowed me to further my perfection"

"…perfection-er?" Jin tried.

"Close but tone it down" Cell waved his hand.

"Now, listen close because I'll only say it once, I'll make you one offer" Cell chucked "hit me"

"What?" Jin raised his eyebrows.

"I don't mean hit me like you did with that other guy, no no no no… I mean hit me, not with no 100%, going all out, it's everything you got"

Jin got it almsot immediately, he was mocking him, but he's also testing his new power with an all out attack from the one who nearly beat the person he just technically killed.

Jin slowly breathed out, he had no idea what to think, with his strongest attack he couldn't even make Cell bleed at this point. Jin's voice was painfully dry.

From thinking to running away to bowing, nothing in his mind could really draw blood let alone kill Cell; and in this moment from the brief moment he had with Cell, he couldn't think how he'd win.

Swallowing his saliva he was shaken, he couldn't believe he could win against Cell, all in all, he was going to die; simple as that, there was no hope for him.

"Fuck it" Jin breathed out and started to gather his ki.

He didn't know what to think, his mind felt heavy and clouded unable to focus on a single thought.

But he wouldn't try.

Only so that when he died, only so he can keep a little bit of his honor and pride. Sweat covered his body from head to toe and the weight in his arms felt increasingly heavy from the strain of 100 times Kaioken.

"Okay… okay" Jin's muttering got a little smile out of Cell who crossed his arms and gave out a mocking laugh.

This irked Jin even more as he tried to pull out every last bit of information he had in his mind, he really didn't want to do it as he had no idea if it was possible…

SSGB Oozaru.

This planet still has a moon so it's entirely possible, but how would it fare against normal Oozaru? He had complete and utter master of Oozaru which I'm sure led to SSJ4 or rather an easier time to unlock it.

But factor God Ki into it?

It suddenly became an entirely unknown field, but one he'd rather die in than be killed in such a disrespectful way.

Inhaling, Jin prepared himself as he clenched his fists feeling his knuckles pop as he breathed. Closing his eyes he felt the world slow down, from the very ki in the air he felt time just… stop.

His mind was racing to try and find anything other than a almost unseen variable but nothing.

Jin's mine went black as sweat came down his face.

"Why do you think you never seem to get stronger?" A voice called out, all too familiar.

"Yamoshi?" Jin's eyes opened as the blue skies turned red and the overall smell of burnt flesh invaded his eyes and nose, looking ahead he saw Yamoshi in all of his glory.

Standing well over seven feet, the glare he sent at Jin wasn't hidden, his red hair spiked up behind him leaving his forehead wide to see Yamoshi stood before him with arms crossed.

Looking down the familiar power filled Jin's vision and being.

"SSJ3…" Jin muttered.

"It's because you fight to win?" Yamoshi's next words caught Jin completely off guard.

"W-what? Why shouldn't I?" Jin spoke as he took a step forwards.

The surrounds shimmered, something about this didn't feel right.

"Heh, we Saiyans get stronger as we fight, true." Yamoshi let out a smirk "but not all in truth, we are a warrior race, and why would a warrior fight?"

This isn't during the war isn't it? The power and air around Yamoshi seemed… too laxed, something about this seemed…

"This is my soul isn't it?" Jin spoke.

"You know" Yamoshi spoke "for being reincarnated twice your not that smart"

"What do you mean twice?"

"Don't worry about that"

"W-what do you mean 'Don't worry about that' not like you dropped a bombshell on me" Jin mocked.

"Heh, you just need a reminder, but moving on. You forgot why Saiyans fight" Yamoshi smiled.

"We fight for our pride obviously, how else can I stand knowing what I've done, what I accomplished in my past life and not achieve it again is… just… the height of-" Jin was cut off.

"No"

"No?"

"No, it's not pride" Yamoshi shook his head then he looked to the sky.

"It's limits?"

"Limits?"

"Heh, limits as a person, limits in power. We Saiyans want to shatter them, that's how you never got anywhere near my power when you died."

Jin felt like his pride shattered before him with Yamoshi's words. Limits? Saiyan's fight to shatter their limits but he fought to win, isn't that the same thing? To win is to shatter the limit of believing you'd lose.

But even then that can't get you as far-

"As you think" Yamoshi spoke as Jin's eyes widened.

"You-"

"-were reading your mind? Yes" Yamoshi nodded his head uncaring.

"Think, Jin. Why do you think you stagnated so much in your past life? Unable to get to your dream goal of SSJ5?"

Jin's lips pursed in thought, in the past it was clear that he wasn't powerful enough but Yamoshi being here forced him to rethink it, it wasn't as simple as training or battling and winner wasn't it?

It was something greater for the Saiyan blood that runs through his veins.

"Limits?" He tried, he knew he was being guided towards the thing but he couldn't get to the end goal.

Yamoshi nodded "because you're not committed to breaking your limits, not willing to do everything to get stronger, to decide your own limits not by the universe or what fate decides. That. Is why you could never win"

Jin felt his throat tighten.

"You forgone the most powerful thing a saiyan has in their arsenal in order to win the war" Yamoshi sneered.

"Our basic need to shatter our limits"

"Is that you choking? Or you just coping?" A new voice prattled into his ears as the landscape shattered into a blue visage as he stared ahead of Cell who wore a frown.

"N-no" Jin cleared his throat "j… just had something to think about"

"Oh? Stuttering? Usually they go to dishing out their strongest attack, I take it only to survive, and well, then we get to that" Cell chuckled a bit.

"No, it's just, well… heh, I don't know if I should thank you or pity you" Jin smirked.

"Excuse me?"

"Your not excused"

Cells narrowed his eyes at Jin's unforeseen confidence, his eyes roamed over Jin's ki only to see it continuously diminishing.

"I can't believe myself, I want to punch myself but that can wait until I'm safe" Jin's eyes snapped opened with an unnatural fire as his smirk turned into a smile.

"Now, I don't need anything else" Jin turned off his enhancements as his voice shimmered, now only having nothing but super saiyan in his god state.

"Hm? You clearly need something, as you've gotten patheticly more weak" Cell crossed his arms.

"Tell me Cell… what are you?"

Cell smiled and shook his head "I'm a bio-mechanical android" Jin looked on waiting for him to continue.

"I'm made up from a lot of different fighters, from Saiyans, to humans, to namekians, to Freiza's DNA" Cell smiled expecting this reveal to put a pause to Jin's face only to see the smile grow.

"And your goal?"

This made Cell frown a bit "to built upon my Perfection"

Jin laughed "why the hell are you laughing child."

"Just… enjoying your ignorance"

"Oh? And care to share with the class? I'm sure I would love to know"

"Heh" Jin chuckled "you're not usuing the Saiyan's blood to their fullest potential"

"Oh, and care to explain?"

"No"

"What?"

"You heard me" Jin shook his head "no, not because I don't want to, it's because you're not fully Saiyan"

Cell's frown deepened "explain brat"

"It's because your impure! You've no full Saiyan blood inside you and as such you cannot harvest the full potiental of the Saiyan Race" Jin pointed at Cell.

"And pray tell, what is the Saiyan's potiental?" Cell asked clenching his fist before him.

"What's a warrior's greatest dream?" Jin asked.

"To be the strongest"

"Okay, my fault, what's Goku's dream?" Jin corrected.

"To fight stronger opponents" Cell's eyes narrowed.

"And, why? Does he do this?" Jin smirked.

"… to break his limits" Cell's eyes went to normal but then he shook his head with a mocking chuckle.

"Well, that's good to know, but here's the thing brat… you're no Goku, nor Vegeta, what's your reason to fight hn?" This gave Jin pause.

"Goku wants to fighter stronger and stronger opponents, Vegeta fights because of his pride, Gohan fights to protect, hell! Good old Piccolo fights because he wants to test his power" Cell listed.

"But you… you… I see no reason for you to fight, you've no real connection to the people here nor any real goal to drive you, I've been watching you brat." Cell sighed.

"You're like a second Gohan, just more deluded"

"What?" Jin's eyes narrowed.

"You're not giving it your all! Almost like your scared to die!" Cell shook his head.

"I expected this from Krillin or Yamcha, but a Saiyan? How pathetic" Cell mocked him.

This made Jin's breath hitch, he really didn't want to get into this conversation, but at the same time…

"Limits" Jin muttered what Yamoshi said.

"Care to speak up boy?" Cell crossed his arms.

What was the reason he fights? It wasn't for the SSJ5 nor was it to break his limits, he wasn't doing it to protect the people around him, he just wanted the same level of power he had when he died.

It was a pathetic reason in all honesty.

He was hanging onto the past so much that he was forgetting that time has passed and things changed, he was thinking of the actions he'd take during the war.

Jin put a hand up to his head as he let out a long exhale, he couldn't think straight, he fought with… no, he can't say that anymore, he fought with the intention to survive. The fight with Yamoshi left a bigger scar on him to the point he barely fought to increase his power.

Jin exhaled slowly, he was a god now, and since then he's gotten… weak in terms of mentality and intentions, in both Otherworld and Hell he sought out answers only to fall short and fall into the cycle of reincarnation by accident.

So he shouldn't be here, he shouldn't exist.

He should he dead.

Jin's eyes met Cells as he thought, he didn't fight for himself, at least he could admit that, even when he died he could say he never fought for himself.

His race.

He was considered a pillar equal to the king of his race, Yamoshi was a god to his race and Jin was a neutral pillar as the King reigned.

"I fight to…" Jin's voice hanged in the air as his ears ringed, this he could say with absolute certainty only as he was now the same as Yamoshi.

"…to be the god of my race"

This made Cell laugh.

"You a god?! You may have god ki, but it takes more than that to be a god?"

"Who made you a expert on gods?" Jin asked only to get a frown from Cell.

"You wanted my strongest attack right?" Jin asked as he rolled his shoulders.

"I hope you're ready because I don't want you to back out"

Cell mockingly laughed at Jin again "trust me, not liek you can make me shiver" to Cell's surpise Jin started to power up.

Maybe he was more than he seemed…
