Chapter 360: The End
Boom!
The intense explosions continued to reverberate, as the forces of black and gold engaged in a relentless struggle. Continents crumbled, mountains collapsed, and the sky distorted as if the apocalypse had come!
The golden flame burned the ground to nothingness, while the black sphere plunged everything it touched back into chaos.
The entire Core Dimension was in shambles, with hardly anything intact!
Cracks suddenly appeared on the massive black sphere, growing larger and larger until the entire black sphere was covered in golden cracks.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The colossal Expansive Truth-Seeking Ball exploded, causing a crazy explosion that dealt another blow to the already devastated Core Dimension, leaving only a few actual footing in this dimension.
Having exhausted her Chakra, Kaguya was unable to dodge and at the mercy of Nagasawa's golden flireball and the impact from the Expansive Truth-Seeking Ball's explosion. As a result, she lost consciousness and fell into the void area below.
Nagasawa caught Kaguya and gently placed her on one of the few remaining rocks.
At this point, Kaguya no longer resembled the serene goddess; her once radiant white hair was uneven and charred, her fair skin now reddened from the burns, with injuries all over his body.
Nagasawa's condition was no better. Exhausted from the prolonged battle, his body had become transparent, akin to a phantom.
After a brief moment, a distortion appeared in space, from which Kakashi emerged.
Seeing the scene, Kakashi's eyes widened his eyes in disbelief. Hadn't he seen Kaguya with Nagasawa beside her, he might have thought that he had entered the wrong dimension.
After using Susanoo to fly down, Kakashi landed beside Nagasawa.
"Lord Nagasawa, w-what happened?" Kakashi couldn't help but notice the miserable state Kaguya was in and Nagasawa, who had become phantom-like translucent.
"I'm fine. My time in this world is probably running out. Hurry and bring Naruto and Sasuke here. Kaguya is severely injured and unconscious. It's an excellent opportunity to seal her," Nagasawa waved his hand.
Listening to Nagasawa's words, Kakashi fell into a silence, unsure of what to say.
Being able to casually refer even death as simply "leaving this world" left Kakashi at a loss. He couldn't fathom the kind of person who could fight for other worlds to this extent, but now he had witnessed it firsthand.
Through his actions, Nagasawa had shown Kakashi what a true hero should strive for.
"Alright," Kakashi nodded. His gaze towards Nagasawa was filled with immense respect.
He believed that they should build a Hokage Monument for Nagasawa in Konoha after the war. Even though he wasn't the Hokage of this world, he deserved that much.
Nagasawa deserved to be remembered by Konoha and this world.
Just as Kakashi was about to leave Core Dimension and head to Gravity Dimension, Naruto and Sasuke emerged.
"Phew, we made it," Sasuke sighed heavily, looking exhausted.
"This world looks even stranger than the previous ones before. There's hardly anywhere to stand," Naruto commented while flying towards Nagasawa.
His experience in Kaguya's dimensions wasn't exactly pleasant.
He nearly fell into lava in Lava Dimension, the Ice Dimension was really cold even though he was in his Six Paths Sage Mode, and the gravitational force on Gravity Dimension was so overwhelming that he couldn't even lift his Truth-Seeking Balls.
"Nagasawa-san, what's happening to you?" Naruto was initially distracted by the golden flames surrounding Nagasawa, so he only noticed that Nagasawa's body had become transparent when he got closer.
"It's nothing. Seal Kaguya now; she's powerless now," Nagasawa said casually.
Naruto nodded, and together with Sasuke, they activated their Six Paths powers, using Six Paths - Chibaku Tensei to seal Kaguya.
"Now, how do we get back?" Naruto realized a problem.
It was Kaguya who brought them here, and now that she was sealed, they needed a way to return.
"Kakashi-sensei, Sasuke, can you take us back?" Naruto asked.
After all, Kakashi and Sasuke could use space-time Ninjutsu with their Eye Technique, and their Eye Technique could synchronise with Kaguya's Dimensions, so Naruto thought they might be able to return with this method.
Kakashi shook his head, explaining, "In theory, it's possible, but going back to the real world consumes an enormous amount of Chakra. It's something we can't afford."
Sasuke nodded, indicating that he couldn't directly return to the real world from the Core Dimension for now.
"What do we do then? Do we have to stay here forever?" Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Naruto had to ask this question.
Seeing Naruto so flustered even though he had attained Six Paths Sage Mode, Nagasawa was amused.
"Relax, Naruto. You'll be out soon. In Konoha, someone is expending a vast amount of Chakra to perform a Summoning Technique to bring you back as we speak," Nagasawa reassured Naruto.
"Is that so? I thought we were going to starve to death here," Naruto sighed in relief.
"Finally, it's over. I really want to eat a big bowl of pork ribs ramen," Naruto exclaimed.
"It's time for a good meal. I'm a bit tired myself," Nagasawa smiled.
"It's almost time. Time to say goodbye," Nagasawa said. As he uttered these words, his body became even more transparent, as if he would disappear at any moment.
The Challenge Mission was completed, and Nagasawa nearly ran out of strength.
Nagasawa flicked Naruto's forehead like he did to Naruto on his world, and then turned into particles of light.
"Nagasawa-san..." Naruto muttered, struck with a sense of loss.
Kakashi patted Naruto's shoulder and said, "Lord Nagasawa was a Hokage worthy of respect. We should always remember his name. When we return to the village, I will propose the construction of a monument for him. His deeds deserve to be known by everyone."
