I Just Want A Single Ending!

Chapter 21: I Just Want a Single Ending [21]

"…Together?"

Watching the scene unfold in front of her, Takamatsu Tomori clenched her fists tightly.

Sensing a glimmer of hope in her eyes, Nagasaki Soyo continued, "Yes. This time, we'll keep communicating and moving forward together. That way, nothing will go wrong."

"Tomori…"

Shiina Taki looked at her with anticipation.

"Right—a band for life."

Takamatsu Tomori raised her head, finally resolute.

"I don't want to be separated again!"

As soon as she said this, Shiina Taki responded immediately, "I swear, I'll be in a band with you for life, Tomori."

"Um… there's no need to swear an oath or anything," Chihaya Anon muttered, caught off guard by how serious things were getting.

"I swear as well," Nagasaki Soyo followed, smiling.

"Eh?"

Everyone else turned to look at Chihaya Anon.

"Don't look at me like that! I wouldn't have invited Tomori if I wasn't ready to commit, okay?"

"Thank you, Anon."

Thinking of the invitation Anon had extended to her, Takamatsu Tomori thanked her sincerely.

"No need to thank me—if anything, you should thank Kamigawa."

Chihaya Anon pushed Kamigawa Saku into the spotlight.

"If it weren't for him, none of us would be here, and I wouldn't have made my decision so quickly."

"…Honestly, I didn't do much. Anon's decision was the real turning point."

Kamigawa Saku had no desire to be the center of attention.

If possible, he preferred to take just a small share of the credit.

That way, he'd strengthen his relationships with everyone without drawing too much attention.

If he overdid it, he risked accidentally making someone fall for him, which could get complicated.

Not that he was full of himself—it was just a precaution.

"Hehe…"

Hearing his answer, Chihaya Anon thought to herself that if it weren't for her starting the band, Kamigawa wouldn't have gone to all this trouble.

Not far away, a silver-haired girl with mismatched eyes—one blue, one yellow—watched them with a small smile.

"An interesting guy."

After muttering this to herself, she continued enjoying her matcha parfait.

"But… why did you choose me?" Takamatsu Tomori asked, still confused by Kamigawa Saku's actions.

If he wanted to start a band, there was no need to go through so much to recruit her.

After all, it wasn't like she was irreplaceable.

"Because we're friends." Kamigawa Saku answered with a light laugh. "Besides, I know you really want to be in a band."

"Friends…"

Staring at his bright smile, Takamatsu Tomori repeated the word softly to herself, then nodded firmly.

"Yes, we're friends."

Seeing this, Chihaya Anon pulled out her phone, beaming, "Now that we're officially a band, let's exchange contact info and create a group chat on LINE."

No one objected to this idea.

After exchanging numbers and setting up the LINE group, Chihaya Anon gave Kamigawa Saku a pat on the shoulder. "I'm leaving the band's social media to you."

"Don't worry about it."

This was an area he was well-versed in.

"By the way, why is his role the band's manager?" Shiina Taki asked. "Can't he play any instruments?"

"I've just started learning bass."

With everything going on lately, he hadn't had time to visit Yamada Ryo for lessons.

So, every night he'd been practicing a bit on his own at home.

Fortunately, his apartment had great soundproofing, so he could play late without bothering anyone.

"As for why I'm handling the social media…"

"I can answer that," Chihaya Anon interrupted, pulling up Instagram and showing his profile to the others.

"This is Kamigawa's account. With him managing the band's account, we're definitely in good hands."

"Five hundred and sixty thousand followers? Is this for real?" Shiina Taki was skeptical.

Chihaya Anon puffed her chest with pride. "It's totally real. I can vouch for it."

But even with her assurance, Shiina Taki remained doubtful, turning to Kamigawa Saku for confirmation.

With no other choice, Kamigawa Saku opened his Instagram to prove it.

His account had originally held around 550,000 followers, but it had grown by another 10,000 over the past few days.

It was only natural; the more followers an account had, the faster it tended to grow.

Besides, his content was pretty solid.

"Alright, then. You can handle the social media."

Satisfied, Shiina Taki had no objections.

As long as it brought in more fans for the band, she didn't mind having a social media manager.

After all, the more fans they had, the more people would hear Takamatsu Tomori's songs.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean? I vouched for him, and you still don't believe me?"

Chihaya Anon wasn't thrilled to be ignored.

Shiina Taki rolled her eyes. "What right do you have to vouch for anyone? You took ages to make a decision, then changed your mind as soon as Tomori showed up. Talk about unreliable."

Especially compared to Kamigawa Saku, her level of reliability had just dropped another notch.

Chihaya Anon fumed, "You…!"

Nagasaki Soyo looked at Kamigawa Saku's profile and smiled. "That's impressive—to have so many followers."

"It's nothing, just something I do casually."

Kamigawa Saku brushed it off and quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, we need to come up with a name for the band. Before I can manage an account, we at least need a name."

At this, Chihaya Anon's irritation vanished. "Well, even though Kamigawa already turned it down once, I still think anon tokyo would make a great name. What do you all think?"

"That's literally your name! Who would name a band after themselves?" Shiina Taki folded her arms, dismissing the idea. "Besides, this isn't a one-person band."

"Why does your reasoning sound exactly like Kamigawa's?" Chihaya Anon complained. "Fine, if anon tokyo is out, how about unknown?"

"That's still based on your name, isn't it?"

Kamigawa Saku chuckled. "Why not use Tomori's name instead?"

"My name?"

Takamatsu Tomori blinked, confused.

"If we use Tomori's name, I'm all for it."

Shiina Taki's attitude shifted immediately.

"Why are you okay with using Tomori's name, but not mine? That's totally unfair!" Chihaya Anon protested.

Shiina Taki smirked. "So what? You can't even compare to Tomori."

"Kamigawa, you suggested that on purpose, didn't you?"

Nagasaki Soyo easily saw through his intent.

Kamigawa Saku didn't deny it, replying, "As you said, it's obvious that Taki really likes Tomori."
