I, Gary, Want to Become a Pokemon Master

"Are you moved by what I just said?" Gary looked at Mewtwo, who was standing there motionless. It seemed to have been affected by his words.

This was a rare opportunity.

"Rhyperior, attack with Megahorn!" Gary shouted loudly.

Bang!!

The ground in front of Mewtwo was broken, and Rhyperior stuck its head out.

The drill on its head was covered with white light and suddenly expanded.

It rushed forward and pierced directly into a Barrier.

The Barrier did not completely resist but was pierced by the drill.

As Rhyperior exerted force, cracks began to appear in the Barrier.

Mewtwo, who was in a daze, was also shocked. With its thinking, it could naturally do many things at the same time. 

It did not expect that its own Barrier could be broken by Rhyperior.

Mewtwo did not have time to increase the power of the Barrier. The Barrier was broken, and Rhyperior's drill hit Mewtwo's chest armor. 

The huge power was released, knocking Mewtwo back several meters, and its feet left two scratches on the field.

"This...!" Giovanni sat up in shock, unable to believe what he saw. Mewtwo was actually repelled.

Since Mewtwo joined the gym battle, it had been invincible, and no Trainer's Pokémon could hurt Mewtwo in the slightest.

A crack appeared on the chest armor on Mewtwo's chest, and it broke into pieces. 

There were many precision parts inside, but because of the breakage, the chest armor's restraint on Mewtwo was no longer effective.

Mewtwo's whole body radiated blue light, and a terrifying telekinesis lifted up Rhyperior. 

With a wave of Mewtwo's hand, the huge body of Rhyperior flew backward, and a deep pit was smashed into the marble wall.

"Rhyperior...!"

Rhyperior could not withstand the attack of Mewtwo and fainted directly.

"What kind of Pokémon is this?" Sabrina was secretly shocked. 

Even she couldn't defeat Rhyperior instantly with Psychic, but the mysterious Pokémon in front of her did it.

Gary put Rhyperior back into the Poké Ball and then took out another Poké Ball.

"Scizor, it's up to you!" Gary threw the Poké Ball.

"Scizor!"

Scizor in red armor appeared.

Giovanni looked at Mewtwo's condition. Mewtwo was not injured, but part of the armor on its body was broken.

It was not a big deal, so Giovanni did not stop the battle.

"Scizor, use Double Team, and then use X-Scissor to attack," Gary said.

"Scizor!"

Scizor immediately split into dozens of clones and then rushed towards Mewtwo collectively.

A huge wave of telekinesis burst out from Mewtwo's body, attacking every Scizor that approached it, but it only hit Scizor's clones.

After all the clones were destroyed by Mewtwo, Scizor's real body was not found. 

However, the next second, a red figure quickly emerged from the hole in front of Mewtwo and came to Mewtwo at lightning speed, attacking with its pincers.

Mewtwo stretched out its hand to create a barrier to resist, but this time the barrier was broken again like the last time, and Scizor's X-Scissor hit Mewtwo and destroyed the arm armor on its arm.

Mewtwo was very surprised that its own barriers were destroyed one after another, which was too abnormal.

In fact, this is normal. Bug-type moves are strong against Psychic-type moves. 

These barriers are not skills, but Confusion walls built by Mewtwo with Confusion. 

Bug-type moves naturally break them easily.

"Get out of my way."

Mewtwo was also angry and immediately opened the Confusion shock. 

However, what was rare was that Scizor was not knocked away. Mewtwo's Confusion shock missed.

"X-Scissor!" Gary shouted immediately.

"Scizor!"

Scizor launched X-Scissor to attack Mewtwo again. Mewtwo subconsciously used its arms to block. 

With a bang, Mewtwo retreated several meters, and the arm armor on its arm was completely shattered.

"What are you doing?" Giovanni asked.

Giovanni, a third-rate trainer, naturally didn't know the situation Mewtwo was facing. 

He thought that Mewtwo was letting him go and deliberately lost to Gary's Pokémon.

Mewtwo didn't bother to pay attention to Giovanni. 

It looked down on Giovanni more and more. Just as Gary said, this Giovanni was not at the level of a gym trainer at all.

"Don't you know that Bug-type moves are strong against Psychic-type moves? You are a gym trainer after all. Don't you know such basic things?" Gary complained.

"What are you talking about, kid? Mewtwo, get rid of that Scizor." Giovanni was angry after being exposed by Gary. He decided to get rid of Gary first.

Mewtwo ignored Giovanni, looked up at the sky shield, and then flew into the sky.

A big hole was knocked out of the ceiling, and Mewtwo disappeared.

"This...!" Gary was confused.

Mewtwo... ran away?

Gary was still hiding his big move of talking, but before he could say this, Mewtwo ran away.

"What!!" Giovanni was also confused. He only realized at this time that Mewtwo ran away!

"Go and send someone to chase him," Giovanni ordered the two guards on the field.

"Yes!"

The two guards ran to the entrance on the side, probably to notify Team Rocket to track down Mewtwo's whereabouts.

Giovanni was also ready to leave but was stopped by Gary.

"Hey, the battle between us is not over yet. Your Pokémon ran away, which means it lost its will to fight. I won this gym battle," Gary shouted.

Giovanni thought about it. He still needed the Viridian Gym, so he couldn't break the rules. 

He took out an Earth Badge from his pocket, threw it down from the high platform, and turned around and left.

Gary didn't pick up the Badge. He waited until the Badge fell to the ground before picking it up.

[Ding! Mission completed, reward has been issued to the space backpack.]

After successfully getting the Earth Badge, Gary followed Sabrina out of the Viridian Gym.

After leaving the Viridian Gym gate, Sabrina immediately asked, "Gary, what kind of Pokémon is that Pokémon wearing armor? I can feel that the armor is suppressing that Pokémon."

"I don't know, but I have taken a picture of the Pokémon. When I return to Pallet Town, I will ask my grandfather. Let's go to the Pokémon Center first," Gary said.

The two went to the Pokémon Center together.

"Mr. Gary, did you get the badge successfully?" Nurse Joy asked Gary about challenging the Viridian Gym when they arrived at the Pokémon Center.

"As expected of Mr. Gary, you even defeated Mr. Giovanni. What kind of Pokémon was Mr. Giovanni's? It should be difficult to deal with," Nurse Joy asked curiously.

"Although I won, I didn't defeat that Pokémon. That Pokémon ran away in the middle of the battle," Gary said.
