"Ming Yu, the formation within the Array Plate is so mysterious and profound. Without my explanation, you won't understand it. If you're interested, how about we make an exchange?"

Xu Yan held the Array Plate and smiled at Ming Yu as she came back from her trance.

"An exchange?"

Ming Yu pondered, "How do we exchange? What do we exchange with?"

"I will explain the formations in the Array Plate to you, and you explain your own Principles to me. How does that sound?"

Xu Yan felt that obtaining the Principles from Ming Yu could greatly assist him in achieving the Great Achievement of Establishing the Path.

Silver-white radiance flickered in Ming Yu's eyes. She raised a hand and on the other piece of paper, drew several patterns of the Principles. Xu Yan recognized at a glance that these belonged to one of the Principles within her.

If he could have Ming Yu transfer all of her Principles onto paper, he could confirm whether his guess was correct.

In the ensuing journey, Xu Yan drew and explained part of the formation patterns to Ming Yu, and she also drew parts of her own Principles and explained them to Xu Yan.

Back and forth they went, and the papers now bore a complete formation.

Xu Yan handed the formation paper to Ming Yu, and the paper with Ming Yu's drawn Principles, he took for himself before taking out two more papers and they continued their exchange.

The Formation within the Array Plate was not a simple single formation, and it included numerous complicated patterns. Using just two or three formation patterns for Ming Yu's entire set of Principles was extremely worthwhile.

"Let's continue. This formation is more central and relatively more complex."

Xu Yan took out two more papers while smiling.

Ming Yu blinked, staring at him for a long while, as if mulling over something.

"I feel like I'm at a loss."

Xu Yan grinned brightly, "How could that be, Miss Ming Yu? You are the one who benefits. A normal exchange would be one formation for one full set of Principles, which would be fair. But I used three formations to only exchange for a part of your Principles; you have gained more either way."

Ming Yu sank into thought again.

Xu Yan took out several treasures and placed one in front of Ming Yu, saying, "Look, let me explain this to you."

He placed one of the treasures in front of Ming Yu, "Under normal circumstances, if I gave you one treasure, you should give me one as well, but you have only given me a part."

Speaking, he broke off a piece from the treasure in front of Ming Yu and placed it before himself, then took another treasure and placed it in front of her.

"Here, I give you another treasure, and you only exchange a part of it."

He broke off another part from Ming Yu's treasure, put it before himself and continued, "See, you already got two full treasures from me, while I only received a part of your treasure. Isn't it true that you benefited?"

Ming Yu blinked, looking at the two complete treasures in front of her and the incomplete ones in front of Xu Yan.

"Why would you let me profit?"

"Friends?!"

Eventually, Xu Yan used five formations from within the Array Plate to exchange for he Principles on Ming Yu, though Xu Yan was a bit surprised to find that Ming Yu's Principles seemed incomplete.

"Ming Yu, did you miss any Principles?"

"No, I've drawn all the Principles I possess for you."

Ming Yu raised her hand and gestured from her neck downwards, indicating that she had completed drawing all her Principles.

Xu Yan looked towards Ming Yu's head.

He finally understood why it was incomplete.

Xu Yan pointed to his head and asked.

"Head?"

Ming Yu fell into thought again, "How do I draw that?"

Xu Yan paused, then suggested, "It's simple, just depict it with Divine Soul."

"Divine Soul?"

Ming Yu blinked, seemingly lost in thought again. Xu Yan observed her eyes gradually turning jade white, her dark pupils disappearing as silver-white radiance wafted through them.

"What's happening?"

Xu Yan was startled as Ming Yu seemed to fall into some kind of chaotic state. He didn't understand why the mention of Divine Soul had triggered this.

"Something's amiss!"

Xu Yan frowned, activated the Minor Heavenly Eye, but still, what he saw was just pure and flawless brightness, unable to discern the root cause.

"Ming Yu?"

Xu Yan called out.

Ming Yu seemed mentally stuck, not responding for a long while. Just as Xu Yan was pondering whether to intervene, Ming Yu finally spoke.

"Bamboo!"
