Chapter 2
I'm telling you, I really am a man!
Lin Nan stared at himself in the mirror as he once again unconsciously struck a feminine pose of worried frowning, and headache-stricken, threw a punch at the mirror.
The punch hurt so much that his eyes immediately welled up with tears that nearly spilled down his cheeks.
The man in the mirror had fairly delicate features and a standard oval face, though his features weren't particularly refined. Thanks to the ravages of acne, he had an utterly ordinary face you'd pass on the street.
His height was close to 1.7 meters, which, in an era where even elementary school students reached 1.7 meters, basically qualified him as disabled.
It had been two days since his hospital stay, but Lin Nan hadn't made any progress.
That 300-year-old witch's soul had taken deep root within him, influencing him constantly.
Not only had his everyday gestures and habits changed, Lin Nan's temper became increasingly volatile and feminine, even trending toward a tiger mom personality.
Lin Nan rubbed his aching fist while grimacing at himself in the mirror. Still, no matter what expression he made, he could always detect traces of feminine grace in it.
Where exactly had things gone wrong?
If this continued, would he become another Lilith? According to the memories in his head, that person was basically a female version of an otherworld Demon King, capable of any evil, attempting world domination, and incredibly flirtatious, living a life of nightly pleasures.
If he turned into someone like that, wouldn't that basically make him Lilith reincarnated?
"Damn it!" After cursing, Lin Nan turned back to his bedroom, planning to vent his frustration by going on the offensive in online games.
Half an hour later, he was nearly beaten to tears.
With an ending KD of 0-13, his body began to tremble slightly, and his hands shook uncontrollably, making it difficult to hold the mouse.
Lin Nan wordlessly stared at the match results screen, displaying a bitter smile.
In just two days, his life had been completely thrown into chaos.
He lay back helplessly on his bed, staring at the ceiling, not knowing what to do.
This wasn't something he could easily tell his friends about—they'd think he was crazy. He also didn't want to tell his father since the two of them barely communicated anyway.
There were only a few days left before school started, but he had no way to return to his former self. If his roommates saw him in his current state, he'd probably be laughed to death.
As he was spacing out, Lin Nan suddenly heard movement at the front door.
Opening the door, before he could speak, Chen Yao grabbed him around the neck, his face full of fawning smiles: "Have you had lunch yet? You haven't, right? I brought you KFC!"
"Are you sure the money your parents gave you is enough for KFC? Don't come mooching off me later."
"It's fine, we're starting school in a few days, they'll give me more living expenses then."
Chen Yao's parents ran a small shop, so he had to handle his own meals. However, this guy was a big spender. Though he spent little on food, most of it went to games. So whenever he ran out of money and didn't dare ask his parents for more, he would always shamelessly come to mooch off Lin Nan.
The two had known each other since middle school, and since both their parents were rarely home, they became companions. Their relationship grew closer and closer, and now they were at the same university in the same dorm, as close as brothers.
He closed the door behind him, squeezed inside, and pushed the KFC box into Lin Nan's arms.
Lin Nan accepted the box in confusion, looked up, and suddenly saw that obviously scheming smile. He shuddered and turned away coldly: "What are you up to now? If it's fighting, I definitely won't go. If it's all-night gaming, I'll consider it. Borrowing money is negotiable..."
"Nan-nan~" Chen Yao, a grown man, whined coquettishly, "You have to help me with this!"
"What request of yours haven't I agreed to since we were kids, except fighting?" Lin Nan sat on the small living room sofa with the KFC box, crossed his legs, took a bite of chicken, and said with a grimace, "You've never brought gifts before when asking for favors."
"Just agree first!"
Normally, Lin Nan would never agree to something before knowing what it was. After all, who knew if it was about borrowing money or something extremely difficult.
But Chen Yao had just helped him two days ago, and since they'd become friends, this guy had always protected him.
So, without much hesitation, Lin Nan immediately nodded in agreement and asked again, "What exactly is it?"
"It's something very, very important! Maybe you're the only one around me who can do this!"
Chen Yao put his hands on Lin Nan's shoulders, his expression solemn.
"Help me crossdress and film a video!"
"What kind of dog-blood drama plot is this?!"
He immediately flew into a rage, the chicken in his hand no longer appetizing. He quickly threw it down and got up, heading to hide in his bedroom: "I'm not that kind of person!"
"No, wait! Just help me out! You know I make videos on Bilibili."
Chen Yao grabbed Lin Nan's arm as he tried to escape, earnestly persuading him: "Last time I said I'd crossdress for a video at 100,000 followers... well, you know with my square face I can't possibly crossdress, but you're different. You're so handsome, just put on a wig, use some beauty filters. It can't turn out that bad, right? If those tanks online can make themselves look pretty, it'll be no problem for you."
Lin Nan couldn't break free, and listening made his temples sweat. This was the first time he'd heard Chen Yao call him handsome, and he wanted to slap himself several times for nodding earlier.
"Even though we're close friends, I don't think we're that close." Lin Nan suddenly straightened his back, full of disdain, "From today on, we're no longer friends!"
"The Last time I stayed with you all night at the hospital, I didn't even dare close my eyes." Chen Yao sighed deeply, shaking his head in grief. "The time before that when you were bullied, I especially found people to get revenge for you, and the time before that when someone in class cursed at you, wasn't I the one who fought back?
"Look, since we met in middle school until now, what help haven't I given you?"
Lin Nan's expression gradually stiffened.
Truthfully, if he hadn't met Chen Yao in middle school, the school bullying during that period might have pushed him into an inescapable depression. However, he almost never refused Chen Yao's requests because of this.
But cross-dressing...
"I've already bought the women's clothes at home, and my parents aren't home. You'll film alone, just pretend to play some games, it's not that hard, why won't you help me..."
