I Cook My Way Through The Multiverse!

Chapter 147: Chapter 144: They're not done yet

'N-Nani?' Boros couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Saitama stood still, completely unfazed by the destruction around him. Boros' heart raced with excitement as his smile widened. Kicking the air with such force that it created a loud blast, the alien pirate king disappeared in an instant.

He reappeared right behind Saitama and grinned, announcing his attack, "Behind you!"

With lightning speed, he swung his right arm, creating a blur as it smashed into Saitama's shiny bald head.

The impact made a compressed, thunderous sound. Shockwaves rippled through the air, vaporizing the molten metal and dark smoke that filled the room. The once blackened sky above the ship turned bright as the shockwaves cleared everything in their path.

Boros leapt back, landing a short distance away. His breathing quickened, and his excitement grew even more.

'That punch… it should've killed anyone! But...' He glanced at his hand, now completely crushed from the impact. The pain surged through him, but he only felt more alive. 'The prophecy… it was right!'

'Ah! I should've hit anything but the core, right?'

Saitama's face lit up with sudden realization. The alien in front of him had been a pain, yapping non-stop. The bald hero felt it was time to end it, once and for all.

"You were a worthy opponent. I'm impressed," Boros declared, completely unaware of Saitama's thoughts. The alien pirate king gazed at Saitama, who still stood motionless, having taken every hit head-on. He was pleased, "But the outcome of this battle is clear. My species has struggled to survive in the harshest environments. We possess the ultimate regenerative abilities."

"I, in particular, have healing powers beyond your understanding," Boros continued, a smug grin on his face. "A deep wound, fatal to you, heals in moments for me..."

His severed right arm twitched furiously. And to Saitama's horror, the arm suddenly regenerated, growing back as if nothing had happened. Boros added, "By focusing my energy on the destroyed limb, I can speed up the healing process."

"And make it as good as new! You, on the other hand, will only get more injured. Your stamina will gradually decrease—"

"Fuck!" Saitama interrupted with a curse, his frustration boiling over.

The bald hero felt like his plan was slipping away, his idea of ending this battle quickly now a distant dream. He rubbed his temple in pain, looking at Boros, who showed no sign of shutting up. "Damn alien. Can you for once stop yapping? You've been talking for, what, seven chapters now? That's insane."

Despite breaking the 4th wall, Saitama was genuinely angry. His once uninterested face turned completely serious, and for the first time, Boros felt a shiver down his spine.

In a low, menacing voice, Saitama muttered, "Let's finish this. Stop the damn yapping, you bastard."

"..."

Boros fell silent at Saitama's outburst. For the first time, he realized he might have underestimated the bald hero. Seeing Saitama's serious expression now, Boros muttered to himself, "No, this is not enough."

A massive surge of energy erupted from the alien pirate king. Saitama blinked as Boros' blue aura transformed. His hair and entire body turned a blazing pink, radiating a powerful miasma of energy.

'Yes! This is it... If the prophecy is true, then I must put everything on the line...' Boros thought, feeling his throat tighten. This Super Saiyan 2 of his, was draining his life force. Like it or not, he had to end this quickly.

"Let's finish this, Saitama!" Boros roared, excitement flooding his veins.

Without warning, Boros vanished from sight, reappearing in front of Saitama in an instant, as if teleporting. The battleship roof churned beneath him, blasted apart by the sheer force of his movement. A suffocating wave of energy followed him as he kicked Saitama, sending him flying across the roof.

But Boros didn't stop there.

His figure flickered again, unleashing a relentless barrage of attacks. Each strike caused explosions, tearing through the battleship's hull, which groaned under the pressure. The ship shook dangerously as Boros' fists and feet rained down on Saitama.

With a final punch, Boros sent Saitama hurtling into the air. His eyes gleamed with triumph as he reappeared beneath Saitama, a surge of energy coiling around his leg. He swung his foot upward, releasing a colossal blast that shot Saitama straight through the sky—his body rocketing toward the moon.

Saitama crashed into the moon's surface, creating a massive crater with him at the center. He looked down at Earth and mumbled, "Should I just kill that yapper already?"

Realizing he couldn't breathe, he looked around, noticing the vast emptiness of space. His mouth clamped shut as he took in the sight of the not-so-flat Earth ahead. With a burst of energy from his feet, the moon trembled again as he launched himself back toward Earth.

Back on the battleship, Boros stood, staring up at the sky. He could still feel the massive energy heading his way.

A grin spread across his face. "Of course, it wouldn't end like that..."

"Uh, excuse me, where's Saitama?"

The voice made Boros turn. Another human was hovering nearby on a chunk of metal from his ship. The alien pirate king narrowed his eyes. "Another warrior from this planet?"

"Ah, no, I'm not a warrior," Tsuna replied, glancing at the cyclops-like alien who looked like a Super Saiyan. He could feel the intense, suffocating energy radiating from Boros—far stronger than the octopus alien he fought earlier. "I'm just a cook."

"A cook?" Boros seemed unimpressed. He sensed a much lower energy level from this human and looked back up at the sky. "Can you fight? It'd be a waste of my lifeforce if I didn't use it."

"No thanks," Tsuna replied, eyeing Boros strangely.

He had barely managed to kill a much weaker opponent earlier. Even though Tsuna had gotten stronger, he knew his limits. One attack from this alien pirate king would definitely end him. Just standing a bit further away from Boros made him uncomfortable.

"That's unfortunate..." Boros mumbled, glancing back up at the sky.

Tsuna blinked in surprise. He didn't expect Boros to let him off so easily. He had been ready to use his substitution and body flicker techniques at any moment, but it seemed unnecessary now. He muttered under his breath, "Didn't know this guy was chill like that..."

Suddenly, a sharp whistling sound cut through the air as a blur shot past, causing the battleship to tilt sideways. A familiar voice followed. "Oh, I made it!"

"Hmm, Tsuna? What are you doing up here?"

It was Saitama. He noticed Tsuna standing a bit further away, as if deliberately keeping his distance.

"...I thought you were done," Tsuna said, watching Boros. The alien's energy spiked once again, and Tsuna instinctively floated even farther away. From his perspective, both Saitama and Boros looked tiny now.

He shouted, "I didn't know he was still alive and kicking!"

"That's the problem," Saitama mumbled.

Boros flickered and reappeared in front of him, throwing another barrage of punches. They were stronger than before, more intense, but Saitama slapped them away as if they were nothing. Many times, Boros' hands were crushed apart with each blow, but almost instantly, they regenerated as if new.

Saitama twitched his lips in frustration, "I don't know how to safely kill this guy."
