I Conquered the World of Dragon Ball

Chapter 5: Escalating Power Level (5)

(Hyperbolic Time Chamber - 60 Hours of Training)

I walked into the Time Chamber with a grin, the familiar emptiness almost soothing. My Ki sense quickly sparked to life, populating the vast expanse.

Hundreds of clones, nearly a thousand in total, were scattered across the landscape, each one far stronger than me. My expression straightened as I probed them.

Any one of them could one-shot me with ease.

A lone figure lay sprawled out on the ground nearby, and I focused on him, something feeling off even from a distance. As I approached, my brows narrowed.

His body looked…different. Massive. Bloated beyond belief, to the maximum his frame could reasonably handle, which was saying something given our starting point.

He was breathing heavily, a shattered visage making it seem like he had just seen war. Whatever it was, left him utterly depleted, but as he saw me, a surge of recognition flickered across his face.

It wasn't long before his weary gaze turned wild, desperate.

By the entrance of the Time Chamber was a single half-empty Senzu Bean Barrel. I used telekinesis to float it to him.

He tried to lift an arm, his veins bulging and skin splitting from the exertion, but the limb dropped back to the ground, lifeless, a quiet groan accompanying his arm regenerating.

"Hold on," I muttered, popping a bean into his mouth, working his jaw myself until he managed to swallow. His body then convulsed, his Ki flaring erratically.

Then he shoved me aside, a wild gleam in his eye, practically diving into the barrel to devour the remaining beans.

"You alright?"

It was strange to remember but he was technically an extension of myself.

He wiped his mouth, breathing easier, his size retracting just a fraction as the Senzu Beans took effect.

"It's…a long story," he said hoarsely, clutching his head like it was still spinning.

I folded my massive arms. "I've got time."

My clone exhaled tiredly.

"Because we have Broly's genes we have his insane S-Cell production," he started. "Broly's S-Cells are mutated so his body churns them out continuously when he's locked in a fight," he continued.

He then stopped momentarily, his breathing becoming heavier.

Consuming so many Senzu Beans would probably kill a human but we were Majins, Goo able to house practically infinite chemical energy.

"I remember," I said, picking up where he left off. "That's the reason why Broly can't maintain his gains, for normal Saiyans, S-Cells only appear after rigorous training and their bodies maintain the same level of production over time," I added, rounding out his explanation.

"In our case though, we can keep the gains, our insane chemical energy stores allowing us to sustain that output"

My eyes widened as I caught onto what had happened.

"But the maintenance cost is dramatically higher than what we could anticipate"

"I genuinely thought I was going to die," my clone confessed, his voice full of relief.

I frowned.

"Why didn't you use Transmutation? Isn't it really easy to do when you're that hungry?"

Transmutation was the in-built ability for Majins to manipulate matter, balanced to manifest in the form of food.

"I waited too long, I even had to fuse with the clone I was sparring against in order to stay alive," he explained, slightly embarrassed.

It appeared that my clones had also completely spread out, nobody else in a few mile radius able to pick up on what had happened.

'I guess he really is like me after all'

"What are you doing in here anyway? Thanks for helping and all but shouldn't you be taking over the Earth?" he asked, changing the topic.

"I came to get some Senzu Beans for Launch," I reported truthfully.

"Launch!?"

"Yeah, she was going to rob the winner of the Festival of Spirit so that she could sell the Senzu Beans, I wanted to get her some of the ones that we have, to save some trouble"

My clone stared at me in wonder.

"Do you want to tag out!?"

"Absolutely not"

I looked at the barrel which only had a quarter of it's contents left.

"You guys are burning Senzu Beans like crazy, have any of you tried Transmutation yet?"

Senzu Beans were an extremely valuable resource and I would have never expected that we would allow our supply to get so low so fast. Although they grew organically in the Sacred Land of Korin, that could never be what we relied on.

"I can try now," my clone said hastily.

He created a Ki Orb, a light green mass floating in the air.

"You should be able to," I encouraged.

He furrowed his brows, screwing his eyes shut. He drew on the feelings of intense hunger and exhaustion that he previously felt, the remnants still wracking through his body.

FYUUU!

After a few seconds, the Ki orb miraculously transformed, becoming a full barrel of Senzu Beans. He sampled a handful, his body rippling as he condition stabilized.

"Thank you!" I remarked, quickly snatching the barrel from his grasp.

"Hey! Where do you think-"

"Just make some more!" I shouted back at him, exiting the Time Chamber.

PYUU!

'Instant Transmission is too convenient'

I teleported back to the Festival of Spirit stage, where I had left Launch a few seconds ago.

"Here are the Senzu Beans I was talking about"

A look genuine wonder found Launch's face, her hardened expression softening slightly.

"You just disappeared! How'd you do that!?"

I smiled softly. "I'm just that fast, I told you before, these martial artists are little too beneath me," I said, being a little prideful.

"And there's so many! How'd you get so much!?" she blurted, running her fingers through the barrel.

I just smiled, trying not to look stupid.

She quickly tested one, her expression filled with wonder as fullness filled her stomach. She was momentarily overcome with emotion, a deep grin stretching over her face.

Her nose then crinkled.

"Achoo!"

It was fast and intense, her hair flashing white as she sneezed. I blinked, a little baffled by how suddenly her hair turned dark blue, the process more fluid than I could imagine.

In real-time her expression softened and she looked at me with a pleasant, appreciative smile, something that didn't seem possible with her former facial features.

"Sorry about that," she said apologetically, wiping her nose.

She picked up her case, walking back in front of me.

"Um... if it's alright with you, maybe we could get out of here? We can talk more about our deal later," she suggested.

I couldn't suppress my grin.

"Yeah, let's do it"

(Hyperbolic Time Chamber - 120 Hours of Training)

"KAIOKEN X20!!!"

'It doesn't even hurt anymore'

The Kaioken technique amplified the Ki capacity of a fighter, enabling it to flow faster. It also had adverse effects on the body, putting immense strain on the organs, muscles, joints and bones, making it deadly to use perpetually.

Or at at least it was supposed to be.

The fiery red aura blazing around my body shrank under the weight of my concentration, my agitated Ki only becoming denser as it clung closer to my skin, forming a wicked-looking energy cloak.

My regeneration had adapted, Buu and Broly's genes working hand in hand as what previously felt like bathing lava became as trivial as taking a hot shower.

'Granted, it's only a sensory adaptation'

When pushing beyond Kaioken x20, there was a serious risk of my body breaking down, my regeneration unable to keep up. So it was our limit for now, but our quality of life when maintaining the technique at this level saw a massive uptick.

'It's like an infinite power level glitch'

Kaioken would damage our bodies, pushing us to a Power Level twenty times greater than what we should otherwise be. Our regeneration would then kick in, healing our damaged bodies. Our bodies would then receive a monster Zenkai Boost, increasing our base Ki pool. We could then use the extra Ki to boost Kaioken even more so that our Power Level was now twenty times our new standard.

'Broken'

The only downside, initially, was that maintaining Kaioken was a little arduous. Our Majin sensory system made it so that pain flashed periodically instead of being constant like in humans, temporary bursts of intense distress gradually gnawing at our mental strength.

But now even that debuff was gone.

"Are you ready?"

Opposite me was a clone of equal Power Level, utilizing the Kaioken technique at the same time as well. He also had a thin dense, crimson aura hanging around his body, his expression relatively calm.

We were in a quiet corner of the Time Chamber, nearly a hundred miles away from the next group.

It was a little frightening how much progress we could make so quickly but when considering that we had an extremely in-depth knowledge of the Power System and that we also knew the mechanics of a bunch of different techniques, the logical conclusion was that we'd master these things instantly.

"Let's do it!"

One of our major training objectives was to integrate Janemba's reality distortion into our move set. Within the Dragon Ball Power System, there was this idea called "Ki Dynamics" I created that explained the variation in Ki across different individuals.

The Ki of a fighter like Janemba had special properties that enabled it to excel in reality-warping and spatial distortion, this being exactly why I had selected him for my wish.

While Instant Transmission was powerful and effective, it was more psychologically damaging to create a portal out of thin air and strike through it, or disassemble my body into strange colourful matter, reassembling before my opponent's eyes.

I opened with a portal strike, my fist flying straight through to the back of his head, a slight tilt allowing him to completely dodge.

He disassembled his body, forcing me to raise my guard but it was a fake, reassembling a few feet up in the air, super-dashing toward me. His red aura deepened as he started to wind up a heavy punch.

But I could track his Ki flow.

I stood my ground, my forearm intercepting a vicious elbow that would have taken my jaw clean off. I quickly punched upward, another portal helping me strike at his stomach.

'He's fast'

There was no way he could dodge in time but he still tried, the sheer force of my blow tearing a small hole in his side. Unfortunately, he wasn't stunned, able to assemble himself at some distance, regenerating.

"Is that all you've got?" I taunted.

Whenever I was fighting and the fight was truly close, my Saiyan instincts wound pound at my pleasure centers, making growth in combat actually enjoyable and fun.

"Don't get cocky"

He super-dashed again, twisting his hips into a precise reverse punch.

Obviously I blocked it, tilting back and throwing my arm into a portal, my palm colliding unexpectedly with his right knee. He lost balance and I brutally punished him for it, my knee magnetized to his jaw, knocking him high into the air.

A heavy overhand punch collided with his stomach, the increased force granted to me by Kaioken tearing through his defenses and launching him back.

I had to resist the urge to fire a Meteor Bomb at him, remembering that we could absorb Ki and use it to regenerate.

I used Instant Transmission to teleport beneath him, driving both of my feet into his back and propelling him up into the air, creating the widest portal I could and flying down through it, allowing me to be above and drive both feet into his stomach, knocking him out of Kaioken.

'Loops'

I flew repeatedly through the portals, throwing dropkicks into his back and stomach as swiftly as I could managed, my clone bobbing up and down in the air like a tennis ball.

Since he was out of Kaioken, he couldn't react in time, stun-locked as I dealt massive damage to his body, his flesh finally starting to wear.

I floated down towards him again, about to slam into him when I noticed a shift in his demeanor. His hair flashed blonde for a second, standing on end while bolts of green electricity flared around him.

'No shot!!!'

He moved at shocking speed, actually faster than me but my caution and reflexes enabled me to use Instant Transmission just in time, a spinning back kick colliding viciously with his head as my portals closed.

I used Instant Transmission again, soaking my fist with kick and heaving it at his face.

BLAAAAAAM!

He didn't move.

A shockwave reverberated through the air but my clone didn't budge an inch. His hair solidly golden for a second but it swiftly turned light green.

What worried me more was his expression, a devious smile stretching onto his face as he stared down at me.

BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!
