Chapter 92: Heading to the Safe Zone
Ryou wasted no time. The moment the examiner finished his words, he took action with a series of hand seals that were too fast for the others to see what it was used for. With a deep breath, he released a powerful Fire Style: Dragon Fire Jutsu.
Flames shot from his mouth, morphing into the shape of a dragon's head, roaring as it surged forward with devastating force toward the examiner.
The examiner and his shadow clones were stunned, shocked at the speed and Ryou's ability to execute such a high-level jutsu with ease. And, the power of the jutsu was more like it was performed by a Jonin than a Genin.
But as an elite Chunin with experience from the war with Iwagakure, his instincts kicked in. The moment he saw the dragon-shaped fireballs speeding toward him, he didn't waste any time and performed the Body Replacement Technique. His body vanished, leaving behind a wooden log in his place.
Boom!
The fiery dragons ignited upon contact, triggering an explosion that engulfed the shadow clones and log in flames. The high temperature was overwhelming, turning the shadow clones into clouds of white smoke.
Ryou's display of fire jutsu left the other two examiners, who had been watching without making a move, speechless. They hadn't expected a Genin to be this strong. Even they weren't sure of winning by fighting Ryou head-on.
The examiner who faced Ryou's jutsu, now drenched in cold sweat, stared at Ryou in disbelief. He had barely escaped in time, and if he hadn't, he might have been severely injured or lost his life. The power of Ryou's Fire Style was terrifying, packed with immense chakra and high temperature.
Before the examiner could make any move, Ryou had already closed the distance, his sword poised just inches from the examiner's throat. The sharp edge of the blade gleamed in the faint light filtering through the trees, making the examiner gulp.
"You lose," Ryou said, his voice calm yet imposing. Though these were examiners disguised as enemy shinobi, there was no emotion in his tone. If the examiner refused to surrender, Ryou wouldn't hesitate to beat him up.
But there was no need. The examiner raised his hands in surrender, "Alright! Alright! We surrender!"
The other examiners exchanged glances and nodded in approval, stepping back as if satisfied with their strength and performance.
Ryou stepped back, sheathing his sword with a slight smile. "Good choice. Now tell us where the safe zone is."
The examiner sighed and looked at Ryou with a hint of awe, impressed by the strength he displayed at such a young age. He replied, "The nearest safe zone is a few miles northwest, near the riverbank. You'll know you're close when you see the three large trees standing together with a red flag in the center. The space between the three trees is the safe zone."
Ryou nodded and turned to Shisui and Tenga, who had just come to his side.
"Damn! You looked so cool when you overpowered them with sheer strength! No wonder you like doing things this way. I've got to try that sometime," Tenga uttered, his eyes filled with stars.
Shisui chuckled softly. "For that, you'd have to be as strong as Ryou first."
At the same time, he glanced at Ryou with a sense of admiration. Not just for his overwhelming strength, but for his calm and mature way of thinking that's different from others. Unknowingly, Shisui began to respect Ryou.
Ignoring Shisui's remark, Tenga spoke up, "We should hurry and secure one of the safe zones. If we're late, the other teams might capture it and set traps."
"Let them," Ryou responded with the same confidence. "We'll deal with them when we get there. Let's go."
With that, the three of them headed toward the safe zone, leaving the examiners behind.
The three examiners stood together, watching as Ryou and his team disappeared into the forest. One of them shook his head in disbelief.
"That kid, Ryou... he's something else," the examiner who faced Ryou, lit up a cigarette and muttered.
The second examiner with his arms crossed, nodded. "He blew through the siege like it was nothing, even if we fought together, the result would be the same. That Fire Style attack he used, it reached the level of Jonin."
The third examiner chuckled softly. "I'm not sure if we should feel impressed or embarrassed. We couldn't even put up a real fight. Monsters are coming out of the Chunin Exams this year, the village is going to acquire another great shinobi."

In one of the offices near the Hokage building, a group of high-ranking people watched the ongoing Chunin Exams unfold through multiple monitors.
Among the audience were the Jonin sensei of the participating teams. Aside from that, there's Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, and even Danzo Shimura.
Each screen displayed different scenes from the exam, showing the situation of the various teams. But, all their attention was on the screen that played out what Ryou and his team did.
Hiruzen watched the screens while taking a slow puff from his smoking pipe. His eyes slightly narrowed after witnessing Ryou's strength, as he had no clear memory or report about this child with such potential.
'Interesting,' he muttered to himself. 'I'll need to keep a closer eye on him.'
At that moment, Minato laughed seeing Ryou's performance. 'As I thought, he's very good. Even his way of thinking is different.'
"Ahh!" A sudden cry from Kushina drew everyone's attention. She pointed at Ryou and exclaimed, "Minato, I know that child..."

After a quick dash through the dense forest, they reached a small stream where three large trees stood intertwined, with a red flag at their center, where there was a wide clearing. As they approached, Ryou, Shisui, and Tenga immediately noticed another team already gathered near the safe zone.
However, it wasn't the team with the Hyuga Genin; it was a completely different group. They also noticed them as well.
The group immediately sprang into action, drawing their shurikens and kunai as they focused on Ryou, Shisui, and Tenga. The tall one, who seemed to be the leader of the group, commanded, "Let's do this!" They charged forward without any hesitation.
