"Nice kid. I like the way he won the battle." Kushina stood with her arms folded, looking proud as if it was she won the match.

Even Kakashi, who typically wore a cool, disinterested expression, found himself slightly taken aback. He thought, 'He's good!'

The one-eyed Danzo observed Ryou with a deep gaze, his eye slightly narrowed. He hadn't expected to find such a powerful young man in the Chunin Exams.

"Yes, Hokage-sama!" The Anbu with a mask disappeared in a flash.

The crowd began to disperse with slight disappointment as the chunin finals ended in such a short time but Ryou's display of power made them chat among their friends in excitement. The finals had ended with a stunning display of strength, while Ryou's name began to spread throughout the village, marking him as a ninja with a promising future.

Hokage Office,

When Ryou received the call from the Anbu to meet the Third Hokage, he wasn't surprised. After his stunning performance in the Chunin Exam finals, he expected the Hokage would call him.

He was led by the Anbu to the Hokage's office, where he found Hiruzen Sarutobi sitting behind his desk, wearing a warm, almost grandfatherly smile that slightly creeped him out.

"Ah, Ryou," Hiruzen greeted him warmly. "You performed wonderfully in the chunin exams."

"Thank you for your praise, Hokage-sama," Ryou replied, bowing slightly.

Hiruzen continued, "You've grown into a fine young man, Ryou. If your parents were alive, they would be proud. They were good people and strong shinobi, it pains me to remember they lost their lives in the war with Iwagakure."

Ryou showed a sad expression at the mention of his parents and thought in his heart that Hiruzen Sarutobi is very good with words.

"Don't be said. You're the new young leaf of Konoha, and I have no doubt you will one day become a huge shade that protects the Konoha."

"Don't worry Hokage-sama, I will protect the village with my heart!" Ryou said as if the words came from his heart.

Hiruzen then gestured to a scroll on his desk. "As a reward for achieving first place in the Chunin Exam, you can choose an A-level jutsu and two B-level jutsu from the sealed book."

Hearing this, Ryou was slightly excited even though he knew about the rewards beforehand.

He accepted and unrolled the scroll and scanned the list of jutsu recorded on it. Instead of recording the entire jutsu, it contained only the names and brief descriptions of each technique.
