"That was too close." Alros muttered to himself, his hands on his heart, which was beating quickly at the moment.

He then looked at the direction the Hero went flying before turning back his attention to the creature which just save him.

"It's seem Project Hybrid: Chimeric Path worked well." the creature in front of him possess the baseline appearance of a Forest Drake with fleshy tentacles grafted from the flesh of Leeches to give it the ability to drain Mana.

It can also shoot energy draining web, a skill obtain from merging it with Draining Web Spider with several proboscis of Energy-Draining Mosquitoes. A creature designed to weaken its target.

"Let see how the Hero deal with you," aside from the Weakening Chimera, as he called it, there are several Combat Chimeras, designed to battle against the Hero while the Weakening Chimera did its job.

And so, the Combat Chimera began to engage with the Hero while the Weakening Chimera stay behind, doing its job. All while Alros focused on his recovery and making some much needed changes to his plan.

However, the one attacking her is one she did not know anything about, and so unable to know it's weakness.

"I need to see how well it does in a single combat." charging at one of the monsters, Mirna dodged a swipe at her face before severing the leg in a single strike.

Loosing it's leg force it to limp, having trouble to move yet did not deter the creature as it continue crawling towards her, intent on biting her face off.

"What kind of monster are you?" she asked the creature before blocking a low swipe before ducking underneath and overhead blow. She then strike at where she believed the heart was at.

She thought she get him but the creature remained able to move, even trashing around despite her knowing she hit it at its heart.

'Does this thing has two heart?' Mirna thought to herself. It is an unlikely possibility but she needed to confirm it first. And what better way than cutting them off into two before examining the inside for clues.

And so, three slashes later and one of the creature fell, dying from the loss of blood.

"One down, 20 more to go." Mirna whispered to herself before turning his attention to the remaining monsters, her sword glowing with ethereal light.

In the distance, Alros watched as the Chimeras fought and die against the Hero, who easily defeat them with a swing of her sword.

However, she did stagger from time to time, allowing a few lucky hit from his Chimeras. He eyed the Weakening Chimera, the one responsible for the Hero staggering.

Alros then did a once over on himself before nodding in satisfaction.

"I already fully heal enough. It's time for me to fight the Hero again." it's also probably the only way for him to ascend and become a Demon Lord so he need to fight the Hero.

As she kill the last of the monsters, Mirna wipe one of the wounds on her shoulder.

'I've getting tired. Fighting for long time without sleeping is taking its toll on me.' she thought to herself. Yet, she was forced to dodge an attack aimed at her head as the Archdemon continued the rematch between them.

"You again?" she snarled, annoyed by the persistence of the Archdemon. The Archdemon did not say anything and just swing its claw at her, which she defended before she retaliate with a counter.

The Archdemon seem to be learning fast as it dodged her attack before wall of fire found itself between her and the Archdemon.

She easily dissipate the magic only to be unable to dodge an Earth Pillar to gut, sending her flying away again.

"Looks like it work." Alros said to himself, glad his attack, one done with enough coverage would work and allow him to hit her.

However, he don't think it would stop her for long as the Hero would come back with a vengeance. And he was right, as the Hero leap back into a battle and swing downward with enough force to cleave a Troll in half.

Alros jumped towards the attack, not out of suicidal behavior but instead to stem her momentum while at the same time having created an armor of earth around his arms.

As the glowing light sword collided with the earth gauntlet, the Holy Light break the gauntlet but not before the impact sending them both flying, to his advantage as he could slow down his descent and flew upward, which is something the Hero could not do.

As she landed on the ground, the Hero rolled and stop most of her momentum, allowing her to recover quickly before going back up.

However, the few seconds of recovery was enough for Alros to take advantage of the time and attack her once again, as he slashed at her thigh, where there is little to no armor there.

"Argh!" the Hero yelled before glowing in an eruption of Holy Light once more, burning him as he was forced to fly away.

For the chance to hurt her, Alros find himself being burned by the Holy Light, which he started to heal at, but at a slow pace.

As he focused on his recovery, the Hero did the same as Alros could see she was grabbing for a pouch around her waist, only for her to realize it was not there.

The Archdemon smiled, having swipe the pouch which is a spatial pouch, likely containing all kind of potions to help her recover in fighting against him, and now he has it.

Putting it away inside his system space, Alros prepared once more for another battle, but this time, one he would win.
