Chapter 6.2
Stage 1-6. The Pain Will Be Over In An Instant
I make eye contact with Luark’s entourage through the door.
I kicked the door open, along with the stiffened guys, and stepped inside.
“…W-why the hell are you here…!”
“What are you guys doing?”
“Vellet-sama…!”
What came into view was a flustered Luark, straddling with his belt off, and Riche exposed with her ample chest.
This isn’t what I expected…? It doesn’t feel like that at all.
Rather, given the situation, it seems like she’s being forced into this… Is Riche being bullied again?
If that’s the case, there’s only one thing I need to do.
“…Don’t worry, Riche. Now that I’m here, I won’t let them lay a finger on you…!”
…It’s decided…
Riche’s rapturous expression as she looks at me is undeniable.
This time, my favorability rating is going through the roof!
“D-don’t get the wrong idea! We’re doing this consensually!”
“…Do you really think that excuse will work?”
“Of course it will! I only went along because this woman invited me!”
“No, that’s not true! He’s forcing himself on me…!”
“She says the same thing, and I have proof.”
Alice, holding a magical camera, points it with her thumb.
“Everything was perfect from the start.”
“A magic camera!? Damn it…!”
It seems Luark finally realizes he’s cornered.
He weakly stands up, swaying.
“Why… why is this happening to me…? It’s all because of you…!”
…This could be problematic.
I signal Alice with a hand gesture to help Riche.
If my reading is correct—
“It’s all your fault!!”
—He’s going to go berserk and use magic.
Luark stacks his palms together and points them at us.
“Fire spirit, burn my enemies to ashes! [Flame Arrow]!”
Twelve fireballs are launched.
The average number one can control at once is eight, so this guy is indeed a powerful mage.
“Vellet-sama!!”
Without magical aptitude, I can’t use any spells to cancel it.
Moreover, there are too many to dodge, and the old school building will become a sea of fire.
So, what should I do?
“Hahaha! Die!!”
I’ll erase it from the source of the magic.
“[Delete]”
I utter the activation phrase for the technique I created.
At that moment, the fireballs hit me.
“Direct hit! How could you be so foolish! It’s your fault for going against me!”
“—Well, is that all?”
“…Huh?”
Luark emits a dumbfounded sound.
It’s understandable. Reactions like this are common on a first encounter.
Even Alice was surprised when she sparred with me.
“W-why!? How are you unscathed!? I-I’m sure all of them hit…!”
“Oh, they did hit. I erased them the moment they struck… but.”
“H-how is this possible…! No magic erases magic…!”
“…Well then.”
“Eek!?”
Luark emits a pitiful scream at my lowered voice.
The confidence that was overflowing before is now completely gone from his face.
“Now that you know magic won’t work, you understand what’s coming next, right?”
“…! N-not yet! Hey! Don’t you care what happens to this girl… wait, huh!? She’s gone!? Where did she… ah!?”
Alice has already retrieved Riche.
“I’m not leaving the hostage behind.”
“No… no way…”
Now there’s no move left. He’s already lost.
“You were the one who started this life-or-death gamble.”
I take a step forward. With every step, he steps back.
“I’m sure you were prepared to be hunted yourself.”
His face turns pale rapidly, shaking his head vigorously from side to side.
“It’s so pathetic and pitiful, I almost feel sorry for you.”
“Ah!? Eek!?”
Luark, with his back against the wall, loses his balance and collapses.
From looking down on others to being looked down upon.
I wind up my fist.
What kind of miserable image of himself is flashing through his mind?
“I’ll make the pain quick, useless one.”
“Ahhhhhh!”
A high-pitched scream echoes through the room.
Foaming at the mouth and rolling his eyes, Luark falls.
My fist never actually hit him.
It passed just inches from his face and embedded into the ground.
In other words, he fainted thinking he was punched.
“…You weren’t even worth hitting.”
