After the Hero and Lilith briefly left for a one-on-one conversation, in Seriste’s dormitory room…
“……”
“……”
“……”
A strange awkward silence flowed quietly among the three people remaining in the meeting place: Ethan, Agnes, and Seriste.
Lilith had connections with both Ethan and Agnes and Gyeongmwajogyegigwat had connections with Agnes and Seriste.
With Lilith and Gyeongmwajogyegigwat gone, the remaining people were essentially in a “friend of a friend” relationship. When more than three of them were together, they didn’t feel much awkwardness, but in a situation with just two other people, it created an atmosphere that made it harder to bring up topics for conversation. [Only on Galaxy Translations! / Axiomatic]
With three such people gathered, it was inevitable that an awkward atmosphere would flow, and it was none other than Ethan who first broke the silence.
“It seems everyone has run out of things to say. I suppose it’s because there’s no one particularly close to each other when Lilith and that Hero are absent.”
“Y-Yes…”
“……”
“If neither of you is going to say anything, I’d like to speak for a moment, if that’s alright?”
“Oh, by all means, Young Master Blackwood!”
“…As you wish.”
Just as Gyeongmwajogyegigwat and Lilith were using this rare gathering to talk, this meeting of these three people was also a difficult one to arrange.
Although the three had different interests and points of contact, Ethan had found one common point among them, and realizing that this common point was related to his personal goal, he drew the attention of the other two.
“First, this is about the two people who are outside right now.”
“Yes?”
“Huh?”
“Is there anyone among the two of you, Saint Seriste or Lady Blaze, who wishes for that Hero and Lilith to become closer?”
“…Pardon?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean exactly what I said.”
Judging that it would take some time for Lilith and Gyeongmwajogyegigwat to return, Ethan explained his personal goals and intentions to the two women before him.
“To be honest, I don’t want Lilith and that Hero to become close.”
“W-What?!”
“That’s obvious just by looking at you.”
“And I think it’s the same for both of you. Isn’t that right, Saint Seriste?”
“W-What are you saying? I-I don’t particularly…” [Only on Galaxy Translations! / Axiomatic]
“It’s no use pretending not to know. I already know that you, Saint Seriste, like the Hero romantically.”
“W-W-What?!”
Seriste, startled like a surprised hamster by her own emotions suddenly revealed through someone else’s mouth, hurriedly tried to make excuses, but both Ethan and Agnes were already certain that she liked Gyeongmwajogyegigwat.
“N-No…! I-I don’t have such improper feelings for the Hero…!”
“It would be better to lower your voice, wouldn’t it? The Hero outside might hear you if you’re not careful.”
“Eep?!”
“…I knew it too. It’s obvious to anyone.”
“Huh?!”
After confirming Seriste’s repeatedly surprised expression as she covered her mouth with both hands, Ethan immediately turned his gaze to Agnes.
“And Lady Blaze, I don’t think you’d be very happy if Lilith got closer to that Hero, would you?”
“…I don’t particularly like that Hero.”
“I know that, but because of that, you’d be even less inclined to see Lilith dating that man, right?”
“……”
“He’s already a man with complicated relationships with women, do you really want your one and only friend to get involved in that? Moreover, according to rumors, your other friend, Princess Seraphine, seems to be interested in that Hero as well.”
“W-What?! T-The Princess?!”
“Lady Blaze, you wouldn’t want to see your two friends fighting over one man, would you? Am I wrong?”
“…You’re right.”
“W-Wait a moment… There must be some misunderstanding about Her Highness being interested in the Hero… N-No, I mean, I’ve never had any improper feelings for the Hero in the first place…”
“Then it seems we’ve roughly established a common goal.”
Ignoring Seriste’s awkward acting, Ethan confidently stated only what he wanted to say, and soon the real reason he had called the two of them came out of his mouth.
“To put it bluntly, I absolutely cannot hand over my Lilith to that Hero.”
“I-I see…”
“…Do as you wish.”
“So I’d like to ask for your cooperation, Lady Blaze and Saint Seriste.”
“C-Cooperation? W-What exactly do you mean…”
“If possible, I’d like you to lead situations in a way that prevents Lilith from being alone with the Hero.”
“I-Isn’t that a bit wrong? I-I think everything the Hero does has meaning…”
“I’m not forcing you. If you’re not comfortable with it, feel free to disregard what I just said. If you really don’t have such feelings, there’s no reason for you to be shaken. However, one thing is certain: I will take all possible measures to prevent the two of them from meeting. Even if the two of you don’t agree, it doesn’t matter to me. Please keep that in mind.”
“……”
Ethan suddenly declared to interfere with the relationship between the Hero and Lilith.
While Seriste felt considerable confusion at this statement, she also felt an inexplicable excitement in one corner of her heart. [Only on Galaxy Translations! / Axiomatic]
If Young Master Blackwood really managed to prevent the relationship between the Hero and Lilith, there would be no chance for Lilith’s true identity as the real Saint to be revealed, which meant she could stay by the Hero’s side longer.
And what helped her decide was Agnes’s response, which had seemed neutral.
“…I’ll help.”
“Really?”
“Only if you promise to take responsibility for Lilith until the end.”
“I swear on the name of the Blackwood family. It’s perfect that the Saint is here as a witness.”
“…Then it’s settled.”
“I-I’ll… k-keep it in mind…”
“Thank you, Saint Seriste.”
“I-It’s not like I have strange feelings for the Hero, or that I’m jealous of Miss… I mean, Lilith or anything… I-I just think the Hero needs to maintain his integrity these days…”
Ethan nodded inwardly, receiving cooperation even from Seriste, whom he hadn’t expected much from.
It was the moment when a temporary alliance between Ethan, Seriste, and Agnes was formed.
“Hey, you’re definitely LilGirl.”
“…I don’t know what you’re talking about, Hero Gyeongmwajogyegigwat. Who is this LilGirl person?”
“It’s you, man! We were talking normally just a moment ago, why are you suddenly acting?!”
“……”
Ah, shit.
I never thought I’d be exposed about my nickname from my previous life here.
I should have been more careful in opening the conversation. I shouldn’t have gotten excited and blabbed about everything, leading to this slip-up.
If it had just stayed at the level of suspicion, I could have somehow brushed it off, but because I heard the nickname “LilGirl” after such a long time, my body instinctively failed to react naturally for a moment.
“Wow, is this for real? Are you really that LilGirl?”
“……”
“The one who used to troll around on the LuA Gallery calling Lilith a slut ended up possessing Lilith? Wow, this guy is a real legend, pfft, haha…”
“Urgh…”
Sigh, damn it.
Why did I have to get exposed here, of all places?
Why, of all the Luminor Academy players, did the person possessed as the Hero have to be a LuA Gallery user, and why did the walkthrough he saw have to be mine?
I felt almost dejected at the absurdly ridiculous prank of fate.
“Wow, I guess karma really does exist when you see things like this. How can LilGirl be Lilith? This is really amazing, hehehe…”
“…What was your LuA Gallery nickname?”
“Me? It’s been a long time since I possessed the Hero, so I don’t remember well, but I think it was probably ‘PureHeroShipper’?”
“…Ah, so that was you. No wonder you said you played strictly by the book.”
Although I don’t have a good enough memory to remember floating IPs, I do remember the names of a few people who often commented on my walkthrough posts.
One of them was a guy with the nickname ‘PureHeroShipper’ who used to ask questions on all of my walkthroughs, and he left a strong impression because he almost always had questions on every guide.
It might actually be fortunate that this guy possessed the protagonist instead of all the other mentally unstable people who used to hang around the gallery. At least in my memory, he was someone who followed my walkthroughs from beginning to end. [Only on Galaxy Translations! / Axiomatic]
If I hadn’t died in an accident, I probably could have finished the 25th playthrough and the last chapter of the walkthrough. Since it was a walkthrough that only lacked the ending, it shouldn’t have been a problem to clear the game.
…Still, I never expected to be exposed as LilGirl in this situation.
“Sigh, damn it. Let’s just go back quickly. If we stay any longer, they’ll really get suspicious.”
“Okay, sure, slut~.”
“…And just in case, don’t call me that in front of Ethan. I’m not joking, he’ll really try to kill you.”
“Pfft, o-okay. You’re lucky to be so loved, hehe…”
“Tsk…”
We just wanted to confirm that we were from the same world, but it ended up being a time where we only revealed each other’s community nicknames.
‘I should have just brazenly pretended to be a casual LuAGal user…’
Gyeongmwajogyegigwat kept snickering until just before we returned to Seriste’s room, finding it funny that the LilGirl from the LuA Gallery happened to possess Lilith.
When we returned to the meeting place after this, what we encountered was a dormitory room with an atmosphere that had become strangely even more awkward.
