I Became the Cute One in the Problem-Solving Team

Chapter 86

Greg’s general store, where the owner returned after a whopping month.

After taking a quick look inside, Greg muttered with a hint of surprise.

“Much cleaner than I expected… Yuria, did you manage this?”

“…!”

“Thanks. I’m glad you took good care of it.”

He turned to me and smiled.

A 100% genuine smile, not a single grain of pretense.

Seems like he was moved by how spotless it was despite being left untouched for over a month.

Well, not that I cleaned it every morning just to get praised.

But seeing him happy, I guess all that effort paid off.

Thinking that, I casually crossed my arms and glanced away.

“Is this Greg’s store? Wow, it’s cleaner than I imagined. Not too cramped either.”

Karen, who had just walked in, looked around and shared her thoughts.

Seeing her inspecting the place, it seemed to meet her standards as a renowned artisan. Hmm, I feel kinda proud.

Greg casually replied to Karen, as if it were obvious.

“Not sure what you imagined, but I’m not really into messy places. And isn’t it a bit small by your standards as a top-tier artisan?”

“Hmm, I’m not really into flashy stuff. I actually like this compact, just-the-essentials vibe… It’s appealing.”

“That’s a relief.”

Karen didn’t seem to be lying.

The place wasn’t huge, but it wasn’t uncomfortably small either.

No need to twist her words and take it as sarcasm.

If she had genuinely disliked it, I might’ve gotten a bit petty. Good thing that didn’t happen.

After checking out the display shelves, the back warehouse, and the workshop,

we gathered around a table in the store.

Greg looked at me and Karen calmly and said,

“Alright… Let’s start with the contract. Thinking about it, Yuria, last time something came up and we didn’t get to sign one, right? Since Karen’s here, we can do it together.”

“Sure.”

“…!”

Even though I don’t really have an official status, so a contract might not mean much,

I nodded vigorously, agreeing to his suggestion.

Come to think of it, last time the Blood Night incident happened, and things got messy.

When I worked part-time at the Fixer Office, we just wrapped it up with a verbal agreement.

So, this is technically my first time signing a contract.

But I’ll probably just skim through it and sign my name anyway.

“Let’s start with Karen. You have considerable expertise in artifacts, so it’s better to sign as an artisan. Our main income comes from buying antiques and selling them to those in need with a fee added.”
