Chapter 0: Prologue
Fifth grade, the first day of the new school year.
A girl in my class stands up.
She was a girl who naturally drew attention.
“Hello, my name is Yeon Ha-neul.”
Her hair was endlessly white with a hint of blue, here red eyes were contrasting sharply with that hair and on top of her head, long rabbit ears that occasionally twitched.
Finally, a round rabbit tail.
She was an Ain (rabbit-human hybrid).
“….”
The moment I took her in with my eyes, I suddenly remembered my past life.
This world was the same as the world in the game I loved to play in my previous life.
“Ah…”
An action RPG where the protagonist, Kang Han-byul, enters an academy city to become a hunter.
Brave Hearts.
In that game, there was a cowardly swordsman who, due to a soft heart, couldn’t fully use his talents.
A disgrace to the Divine Sword Do family.
Rabbit, Do Gyeon-woo.
“…Shi-ba?” (an expletive)
A soft-hearted fool who doesn’t know how to hate!
A pushover who would rather suffer harm himself than see others hurt!
A crybaby who never even thought to fight back, no matter how much he was bullied!
‘Am I that infuriating character?’
Recalling my past life’s memories, I found myself utterly pathetic.
If I hadn’t remembered my past life, I would’ve continued living that way, evolving into the ultimate burden for the protagonist’s party.
‘Why did I live like that?’
Thankfully, it wasn’t too late.
I could still change.
I didn’t want to live like a fool anymore.
The problem was, despite the game having the feel of a youthful school life, the story wasn’t all bright and cheerful.
Even though there were 44 different endings, most of them were bad endings, and a significant number involved the destruction of the world.
And the girl who triggered my memories was also a problem.
“My hobbies are reading and listening to music…I also enjoy watching dramas. I hope we can get along well this year. Please take care of me.”
Was she a heroine? No, she wasn’t.
She was a villain.
And not just any villain.
She was a mid-boss, driven by despair and hopelessness from her unfortunate life, aiming to destroy the world.
One of the game’s bad ending flags.
She was the Witch of Calamity.
And now, I was in the same class as her.
“This is driving me crazy….”
It looked like I needed a plan.
For my sake—and for hers.
