Chapter 37: Going to the party
Tamamo then looked at Aiden. "Now that we think a our Outside the Kuroinu non of the princes knight or Celestine or Olga have very meet Radomira".
Aiden looked at her. "Yup that is true, but the only reason volt knows because I wanted to die, but plan's had to change for a bit".
Radomira then spoke. "The Cruch may not like, so how will you introduce".
Aiden looked at her as she spoke. "The church of Celestine and even the fucking Pop the worst, but I will deal with as for how to interduce as a Tiefling is a good idea, better to tell them that then saying I brought a succubus goddess for now"
Fenrir then looked at Him. "It is a wise choice master".
Aiden looked at the inferno world, as he laughed. "Your a good boy".
Hee patted his heads as Fenrir tail wagged in happyness, Fenrir even do the king of the inferno wolf's, he is was surely an overgrown dog.
Tamamo then. Looked at the Outfit that Sakura send them. "Ok let's try them out Radomira"
Radomira then looked at Aiden with a playful smile. "I am sure we can impress you".
Aiden then chucked as she looked at them. "You two can try and I won't mind
Tamamo and Radomira exchanged a mischievous glance before both of them disappeared into the nearby room, leaving Aiden to himself. Aiden couldn't help but smile, his mind briefly wandering to the upcoming challenges that lay ahead—both politically and personally.
Fenrir, sensing his master's thoughts, trotted over and nudged Aiden's leg. "Master, are you worried about the future? I can sense your concerns."
Aiden chuckled softly, kneeling down to scratch Fenrir behind the ears. "You're always so perceptive. But yeah, a bit. The whole world's changing, and I've got so many pieces to move. I have to make sure that I don't end up cornered, no matter what happens with the Church or the political games that are about to unfold."
Fenrir, with his usual loyalty, gave a reassuring growl, a sign that he was ready to defend Aiden no matter what. "You've already shown great strength, master. You don't walk alone in this world. I and the others will be by your side."
Aiden smiled, grateful for the companionship, especially from someone like Fenrir, who had been a steadfast ally from the beginning. "I know, Fenrir. And I'll make sure Aether's future is bright. It's just the small things, like how I'll handle the Church and Celestine's knights when the time comes, that make things tricky."
Suddenly, the door to the room opened, and Tamamo and Radomira stepped out. They were both wearing the outfits Sakura had made for them. Tamamo's attire was an elegant, flowing gown with intricate patterns, and Radomira's outfit was a bit more daring, with hints of armor interwoven with the fabrics. Both were stunning in their own way, perfectly tailored to their personalities.
Aiden looked up from Fenrir, his eyes scanning the two of them with a grin. "Well, well, looks like I'm in for a real treat tonight. You both look incredible."
Radomira twirled playfully, showing off the form-fitting design of her outfit, and flashed him a seductive smile. "I told you we'd impress you, didn't I?"
Tamamo simply nodded with a calm, dignified smile, but there was a hint of satisfaction in her eyes. "I hope we've met your expectations, my lord."
Aiden stood up, offering a small bow of his own. "You've exceeded them, both of you. I'm a lucky man."
Radomira winked at him. "Lucky indeed. But don't get too comfortable, Aiden. You'll still need to earn this much attention from us every day."
Aiden laughed. "I have no problem doing that. But for now, let's focus on the party. We've got to make a good impression and get people on our side. The future of Aether depends on the alliances we form today."
Fenrir, ever loyal, let out a low growl of agreement. "We'll ensure the night goes smoothly, master."
With their outfits on and spirits high, Aiden, Radomira, and Tamamo prepared to head out for the party. Aiden knew this event would set the tone for future negotiations, and he had to be strategic. He would need to balance his charm and charisma with his strength and cunning, especially when dealing with figures like Celestine and the Church.
But with his companions by his side and his mind focused, Aiden felt more confident than ever. He wasn't just going to attend this celebration—he was going to make it a statement. Aether would not just survive; it would thrive. And with each step, he was one step closer to securing his future—and the future of everyone who had put their trust in him.
As they left the room, the town outside was alive with energy, preparations already underway for the celebration. The night ahead would be full of challenges, but it would also be a night where Aiden would prove to everyone—friend or foe—that Aether was here to stay
Aiden looked at Sion and Guren. "No, I don't need bodyguards."
Guren, ever loyal, stepped forward, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. "But Lord Aiden, we just want to help."
Aiden sighed, his gaze sweeping over the two Oni warriors. "I get it, but still, I have them by my side."
Sion, standing beside Guren, glanced down at her shadow, momentarily noticing the glow in Fenrir's eyes—sharp and calculating. In the brief instant, a second pair of eyes flickered through the shadows, belonging to Kotarou, who sighed softly from his concealed position.
Aiden, seeing Sion's gaze, smirked. "I trust my team, guys. We've got enough protection for tonight."
Radomira, who had been quietly observing the conversation, leaned toward Aiden, her voice filled with playful teasing. "You sure you don't want me to take care of them, darling? I could handle them all with one hand tied behind my back."
Tamamo, overhearing, rolled her eyes in a gentle manner but couldn't resist adding, "You're not the only one capable of handling situations, Radomira."
Aiden chuckled at the banter, feeling at ease with the support and strength of his companions. "You two are my secret weapons, but tonight is about making a statement. We need to show everyone Aether's power, not just through force, but through our unity. Let's focus on the big picture."
With that, the group made their way to the celebration. The air was thick with anticipation, and Aiden couldn't help but feel a growing excitement as he prepared to make an impression on the key players in the world around him.
As they approached the venue, he thought about the political chess game that was about to unfold. The presence of Celestine, the Church, and other influential figures meant that Aether's future could change with a single misstep. But with Radomira, Tamamo, Guren, Sion, Fenrir, and Kotarou by his side, he was more than ready to face whatever came his way.
The doors to the celebration opened, and the sound of laughter and music filled the air. Aiden took a deep breath, steeling himself for the night ahead. He wasn't just attending a party—he was about to cement his place in this world. And with every step, he knew his plans for Aether were moving forward, one alliance at a time.
Aiden's eyes locked with Celestine, who stood across the room in a flowing white dress. The garment cascaded elegantly down to the floor, accentuating her curves and giving her an ethereal, divine appearance. The dress seemed to highlight every aspect of her form, even making her already prominent chest appear even more impressive, which Aiden couldn't help but notice. He thought it was a nice touch, though he quickly reminded himself to stay focused on the task at hand.
Celestine's presence drew him in as she gracefully approached him. "Aiden, welcome," she said, her voice smooth and welcoming.
Aiden gave her a warm smile, his eyes scanning her outfit before returning to her face. "It's nice to meet you too, Celestine. You look very beautiful."
As Celestine's gaze shifted to Tamamo and Radomira, she studied them closely, sensing something unique. "I see these are the people who've come with you," she remarked before her eyes landed on Radomira. The divine energy radiating from her caught Celestine's attention, and she furrowed her brows slightly. "Have we met before?"
Radomira flashed a sly smile, her eyes sparkling with a mischievous gleam. "No, not at all," she replied smoothly. "I'm a Tiefling."
Aiden chuckled softly, watching the interaction before turning his attention back to Celestine. "I'm surprised Olga isn't here yet."
Celestine nodded, her gaze drifting toward the gathering of nobles. "Ah, yes. Please, follow me."
As they walked, Aiden took in the surroundings. The place was bustling with high society and nobles, many of whom he recognized from his kill list. Tonight would mark their last night, but for now, he kept that information tucked away in the back of his mind. The entire room seemed to be under some sort of spell, as no one seemed to acknowledge their presence, perhaps another of Celestine's divine abilities at work.
Eventually, they arrived at a more secluded part of the venue, where Aiden spotted Olga. She stood confidently, her black version of Celestine's outfit drawing his attention. The dress had a distinct "boob window," a detail that didn't escape Aiden's notice. Her gaze met his, and he couldn't help but smirk as he walked toward her.
"Let me guess," Aiden said, his voice laced with amusement. "We're here because Celestine is going to introduce us. Otherwise, everyone else would be in a panic."
Olga's eyes met his with a flicker of recognition. Ignoring Tamamo and Radomira, she gave him a small but knowing smile. "You can say that, slime."
Aiden raised an eyebrow, his smirk turning into a grin. "I guess people are still scared of you, chocolate queen."
Olga's lips curved into a playful smile, her gaze flickering with a hint of challenge. "They should be."
Celestine's gaze softened as she turned to Aiden, her voice gentle but firm. "Please, don't fight. We need to maintain peace, especially with everything that's been happening."
Aiden met her gaze, his expression thoughtful. "It depends on Alicia's reaction to me. Last I checked, unlike the rest of the knights, she doesn't like me much. So it really depends on whether she sees me... or if she even notices me."
Celestine sighed, her eyes weary. "Alicia is just confused, Aiden. She's been through a lot. Just hold nothing against her. This is a chance to fix the past mistakes, especially with Olga. This is how we make progress and move toward peace."
Olga, who had been silently observing the exchange, finally spoke up. Her voice was sharp and laced with skepticism. "You mean that magic paper we signed? We might have accepted that, and that's a big 'maybe', but what about your people, Celestine? What about their reaction? We'll just have to wait and see."
Aiden smirked, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes. "You speak like you're a saint, but you're far from it, Olga. Don't pretend to be what you're not."
Olga's eyes narrowed, her lips curling into a sardonic smile. "And you, Aiden, are no better. Don't mistake me for someone who's here to play games. I know what I'm doing."
Celestine interjected before things could escalate further. "Enough," she said, her voice tinged with authority. "This is not the time for insults. We need unity, not division. Let's focus on the bigger picture."
Aiden gave Olga one last pointed look before he turned his attention back to Celestine. "Fine, but I won't let my guard down. We'll see what happens when the time comes."
Olga, seemingly satisfied with the exchange, simply nodded. "We'll see."
